Even Predators Can Be Prey.
International security consultant Jerry Manning has a lucrative sideline: he kills people for the Chinese Mob, so quickly and so effectively using his martial art skills that the Chinese call him the White Tiger, a nickname born out of respect--and fear.
When wealthy Chinese businessman James Lin's son is brutally murdered in a San Francisco penthouse where he was engaged in an extra-marital affair with a beautiful actress, Manning is hired to fly back to the States to help track down the killer. But closely guarded family secrets are reluctantly dragged into the light. Lin's older son was also recently murdered in Shanghai, with the same M.O., suggesting that the real target was always James Lin, and that the killer is an assassin with skills every bit as deadly as Manning's.
S.F.P.D. detectives determined to uncover the truth behind the murder are on a crash course with Manning, blocking his view as the elusive assassin slashes her way through Lin's defenses, intent upon exacting old-fashioned blood vengeance upon her hated victim, whose past crimes have finally caught up with him.
WHITE TIGER is an action/thriller novel, 125,000 words/350 pages.

Another book I wrote, this time with ace co-author Derek Paterson. Not horror-themed, this is an action-adventure thriller in the same vein as THE NINJA and the John Rain series by Eisler. Hope you folks like it!

"Bu zhan, bu he. No war, no peace. Without going to war with oneself, there was no chance for peace."

This was quite an action-packed fast moving thriller. It reminded me of some of Eric Van Lustbader's earlier books but easier to identify with.

A successful Chinese businessman doing business out of San Francisco has had both of his sons murdered identically - in a particularly cringeworthy manner.

Security consultant Jerry Manning, well versed in Japanese and Chinese cultures and martial arts and known as 'The White Tiger' among the Chinese underworld, is hired to find and kill the assassin.

Meanwhile Detective Sergeant Hal Ryker and Detective Fong Chee Wei of the San Francisco Police Department (my favorite characters in this story - love their sense of humor) are also trying to find the assassin.

Paths keep crossing among all the major players and we find out the story actually starts thirty years prior with atrocities that were done in China.

Do be aware there are some pretty descriptive erotic passages contained within the story.

I really enjoyed the story up until the very end and then there was an abrupt, unsatisfying ending. That is why I rated this four stars instead of five.

Really enjoyed this crime story very much. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was two big previews at the end of this ebook. I know it's the trend but two previews taking up 15% of the space. Seems much to me.

Reads like a good action movie. I love good action movies. But I expect more from a book.
