This book had me laughing out loud. This book is told from the male POV so it was interesting to "hear" his thought processes.

A man named Danny goes into an erotic shop looking for a strap-on to explore his sexuality. He's confident in his masculinity, but he heard about the P-spot for ultimate orgasm in a Cosmo magazine. He figured there must be something to it if gay men have orgasms and they have toys to help men achieve that ultimate O. He walks into the Emporium of Debauchery and sees Evy, the clerk that he wouldn't mind letting her use the strap-on on him. Their attraction sizzles and Danny asks Evy out after securing his purchase with her in mind. They go out a couple of times and of course his virgin anus gets worked out.

This story is so out of control funny. Danny has an inner-city swag, but he doesn't forget that he is a white boy. Everything he did or said had the explanation " for a white boy". That got a little old , but the rest of the story was well done. For a novella, it just fit. I could totally picture all of the scenes through Danny's eyes. Ms. Blue was descriptive enough for the imagination to take over, but not so much that the story was bogged down.

Slightly homophobic, pretty misogynistic, uncomfortably racist, and honestly pretty gross.

Reading the premise I was intrigued (really, there are a lot of things in this that I would normally like), but the protagonist is a charmless asshole, the love interest is about four different racist stereotypes mashed into one, and after about the fifth time the text said "cream" (each instance of which made me crumple up in horror and force a soft whine of "noooo" from my lungs), I kept reading only because it was so short.

By the end, once the whole food-metaphor thing was forgotten and the author seemed to have gotten into the swing of things (I assume as they got into the action, the character's awful, awful voice was forgotten in favor of describing what was happening) it found itself a little, but it was too little and too late.

Also, man do I feel sorry for sex shop employees. I don't face that much harassment on the daily because, well, it's mostly old people, college students, and parents with kids in the bookstore, but god almighty, having to interact with dozens of people in an already sexually charged environment, it must come with a super high percentage of creeps. Like this bloke.

One star is generous. In reality, this is more of a .5 star.

Just another okay novel for me. I'm up and down with Gia Blue's novels. Some strike me as good while others lead to disappointment. This certainly wasn't a favorite but I didn't abhor it either.
