This book is my favorite read ever! I loved dani and Braxton. Carter was my favorite by far. The spice in this was delicious 🥵 i fell in love with these characters in the first few pages. I couldn't put it down i was sucked in. How Braxton treats dani melts my heart, but also the spice between them 🥵🥵 that cliffhanger at the end had me shook im excited for the next one

Unfortunately, this book wasn’t for me, and I DNF’d it at 34%.

The idea of the book sounded great, and the beginning was promising, but after the first few chapters, I felt things started to move too quickly and felt rushed

Personally, I would have liked to see a bit more build-up and description in certain impactful moments instead of those events happening in just one or two sentences before jumping to the next scene. But of course, that’s just a personal preference.

This wasn’t a bad book by any means, and I’m sure many readers will love it. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right fit for me.


Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.

☁︎This book is perfect for a quick and dark read, with lots and lots and LOTS of spice. It's a combination of fluffy and dark. The characters are very light but the plot itself has extremely dark moments. This book is definitely a more spice less plot focused book. Some of the k*nks are not for me but other (heck yes!!!). This book has such a wide selection of spicy elements that it has something for everyone. And I mean EVERYONE!

Holy mother of smut. This book is hot!! I love dark romance and this one takes the cake. Dani and Brax are absolutely perfect for each other - their dark sides totally bring out the best and worst in each other. Their chemistry is off the charts and I honestly couldn’t get enough. But holy cow that ending….well played Adeline. Well played. Check your triggers before this one bc it’s definitely dark and make sure to have plenty of water and extra panties close by 🥵

This was one of my anticipated reads of the year, and Adeline did not disappoint.

Dani has had a traumatic childhood. She's strong, brave, and determined with a sprinkle of unhingeness.

There's a good mix of power play between Dani and Brax - they're both equally dominant and deranged, and they take what they want. They're really perfect for each other and thrive on each other's darkness.

Brax has a huge respect for women and treats Dani with the care and respect that she deserves. He helps her embrace those darker sides of herself and reassures her that she's in control of her life and that she's not ruined.

I enjoyed the inclusion of Leighton and Carter - the 2 best friends. Their dynamic was very similar to that of Dani and Brax, a relationship filled with respect, passion, and devotion. Carter's personality definately had me laughing. Leighton is just lovely. She's a solid best friend for Dani, and they gel so well together.

This is a fast-paced, smut filled, enjoyable read. Definately leans more towards spice driven than plot with all the favourite Dark Romance tropes; Insta-attraction/love, unalivers, masked men, Morally grey MCs, Touch her/him and die, Multiple-POV, found family, loyalty and ends with that cliffhanger - leaving you eager for book 2.

Adeline has delivered a really good debut, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's coming next from her.

I am obsessed with every MC in this book. Braxton was enchanted by Dani the second he laid eyes on her and I love that. He was right by Dani's side while her darkness and rage continued to surface and that was everything. He never made her feel bad or questioned anything that she did, he had no room to but still. Dani went through a shit childhood and it was great seeing her overcome that trauma in her own way. I love that she has a best friend like Leighton. Leighton and Carter seem like great people to have in your corner. Braxton and Carter's friendship is also one of the best things about this book. Carter is absolutely hilarious, I laughed every time he said "daddy Braxy" and when he was like Leighton asked him to hold it while he peed, "kinda nice, not gonna lie." 😂 The twist in this book was crazy and that ending?? Adeline is evil for leaving it like that but hey at least there's another book coming. The spice was of course phenomenal. These were some horny little killers but you know what, good for them. I can't wait for the next book and to read more by Adeline!

i absolutely loved daniella and braxton. but i also really enjoyed leighton and carter too 🥹 the fact that i got to read a little more about these characters in all of their povs is something i’ve never seen in a book before. literally they have my heart. the love they have for each other is absolutely beautiful. braxton is possessive and obsessed with daniella. carter is just as obsessed with leighton. the best group of friends omg. and that ending ???! I CANT GET OVER IT 😭 i was not ready to be left on a cliffhanger because what do you mean i have to wait for the next one ?! but i’m so excited for it omg !!

Braxton & Dani have such a beautiful relationship full of lust & desire. They each bring the light to each other's darkness. Their relationship is so spicy and hot!

Adeline Storm did an amazing job in this debut story, showing amazing writing and talent.

First of all let me say I love all four of these characters! They are all AMAZING and know how to have fun especially when with each other!!

Braxton and Dani have an amazing relationship from the beginning!! Carter and Lei have a great relationship as well. Put them all together and it’s the four best friends!!! This book is spicy and has a great story!!! The perfect combinations! But now I need to know what happens next?!?! I loved every second of this book!! Will one of the FMC’s go full rage while one of the MMC’s is raging out with her and the other MMC trying to keep them calm?

Holy smokes, give me more and more of this amazing book 🥵 I will forever be obsessed with Braxton and Dani. Shadows of Rage was an absolute page turner, and speaking of pages.. the designs on the chapter pages were my favourite!! ❤️ Ok so in this one we get a total bad ass unaliver who falls quick and hard for the rage filled girl he meets at his bar. Braxton is a total heart throb and just down right spicy, I was constantly thrilled with the connection between him and Dani. Alright Dani our wild rage filled girl, she has a horrible past but has finally found her place and isn't shy of being the most unhinged girl, especially when it comes to her man Brax. I loved that this book was multiple POV's, not only the main characters but also their best friends. Carter is like a golden retriever who you can't help but love his goofy and wild energy, but he also is the intense ass kicking guy you love. Leighton is Dani's best friend & she is literally the sweetest girl ever, the best bestie and of course a total babe. I loved the connection the four characters have, it was amazing. Adeline's writing was absolutely captivating and stellar, I can not freakin wait for book 2 and to get deeper in the world of these characters!!

Dirty, dark and smutty. This book is more smutty and dark, not overly plot driven but I almost feel like there’s more to come from the next book. While in this book it’s more about Dani and her story there wasn’t much about Brax and his history. Now I’m not gonna lie you are left in a bit of a cliffhanger for the next book but this book in itself is complete. Would I recommend this book to friends? Yes. As Adeline’s debut book I am eager to see where her journey as a writer takes me as a fan. I see more good reads coming our way. Please check author notes and warnings as mental health matters.

Oh daddy Braxton, you are such a good boy. Shadows of Rage is a fun slightly dark ( just a little shmurder here and there) read. The way that Braxton and Dani support each other was so sweet. Braxton especially worships Dani. “You are my heaven and my hell. You are a religion I will willingly lose myself in”

Dani is a strong mfc which I truly appreciated. She’s had some trauma in her life but doesn’t let it take her down. She also demands what she wants from Braxton and that makes for some hot scenes. The spice does not disappoint 😏

Leighton and Carter are the best friends of the main characters who happen to also be together. I liked Carters goofy nature and Leighton’s sunshine disposition. I’m looking forward to reading their story in the next book!

I read this in one sitting! I was hooked from the very beginning! This book is mostly spice with some plot and don’t get me wrong I love a book of pure spice! The story was good and I was not expecting what was going to happen!
Braxton is sweet and caring but also a total badass with a filthy mouth.
Dani i was no expecting her to be such a badass I thought she was going to be a sweet and innocent yeah right! She also has a dirty mouth which I loved!

I really enjoyed that there was POV from the side characters. It’s rare to see that but I loved it! I wanted more I wanted more drama but I still really enjoyed the book and I really enjoyed all the kinks! Breath play and ice play wow that was hot!! Men and masks that chase you?! Even hotter!

This book kept me all hot and bothered 🥵
I cannot wait for the second book!!!

So I'm going to say that the plot of this book is definitely smut, murder, and the friends you made along the way. And I'm not mad at that! In Fact, I think if this book had a catch phrase it would be "The couple that kills together stays together"
I did really enjoy the progression of Daniella and Braxton's insanely unhinged relationship. And the little "Good Boy" moment was 🥵🥵🥵 New love unlocked!
Carter's character was pretty funny and I'm very interested to see where his and Leighton's story goes.
I would say the main reason this wasn't a 5 star read for me was just due to the fact that I wish this would have been solely Daniella and Braxton's POV and then the next one would be Cater and Leighton's story. I just felt because it was both of the couples POV it made the pacing a bit off.
I'm definitely going to read the next one

This book was more than I expected, with what equates to four MCs and double trouble couples. The dynamic between the main characters was ride or 💀 and delicious, if you adore found family you'll get it in spades here. Through love and loyalty, they each accept one another in all their dark glory. Characters evolve naturally, with some traumatic backstories that call for and unleashing of feminine rage. The banter is fun and all that spice is hotty hot hot. Congrats to Adeline on her debut dark romance.

3.5 Stars! I think wanted to love this book but it was just okay for me. It had all the tropes that I love in a book! I liked Dani and Braxton and their story. I think they are absolutely adorable for each other and their spice was SPICE!! I liked getting to know Leighton and Carter but I didnt love getting their POV. I don’t know I think I could’ve just loved without it. This book started off really good but kind of started getting slow in the middle with the end getting the story back to normal. I do want to read the next one mainly because i’m invested now 😂

I love a good Smut/Dark Romance book, but this one right here, is almost pure smut. Not one chapter DID NOT HAVE SMUT IN IT 🥵😈🖤💜 Every single chapter had something spicy happening, and not just once either 🔥💜🖤😈🥵
I loved all the MCs! There are two different couples. Daniella and Braxton is the main couple, and then Leighton and Carter are the ✨Besties✨of the couple. Each one had their own unique personalities and stories, and they all fit perfectly together!
Daddy Braxy though if by far my favorite character 😍🫦 Him and Dani are both very unhinged. Lei and Carter are party animals 🍻🥃
The plot was really good, it’s a fast-paced read, but it doesn’t go too fast like others that I’ve read. It’s a perfect book for someone who wants to read all the Smut and a good plot. What I DID NOT expect was the ending! Ugh it was so good that I didn’t see the ending coming 😭
This is Adeline Storm’s first book, and I can already tell that ALL her books are going to be some of my favorite reads 🫶🏻💜 Now i definitely can’t wait till the next book to see what happens from the ending!!! 😍😍😍

I loved the connection between Braxton & Dani. The instalove? yes! the rage? yes! the spice? YES! 🥵🫡 the relationships between all 6 characters (Dani, Lei, Carter, Brax, Ryn, & Dallas) definitely hit — such a fun group!

the scene with the couch post-op? 👀👏🏽🥵 OKAY!

but the ending.. WHY YOU DO THAT TO ME?! 😩😅 perfect cliffhanger & makes me even more excited for book 2! 😈🥳

What a wild ride! I was so pleasantly surprised by the FMC, Dani. She is a total baddie. Her and the MMC, Braxton, compliment each other so well. They are both equally unhinged. I also adored the side characters, Leighton and Carter and totally cannot wait until the next book to read their story. This book is mostly spice with a little plot thrown in, which was great, I mean who doesn't love spice?! I do wish there was more backstory given regarding the characters and more to the story in general. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I am really excited for book 2.

Dani CANNOT catch a break. It’s like every 5 minutes some butthead is after her or she’s getting it on with Braxton, which I’m sure she prefers Daddy Braxy any day. Braxton is and unhinged sweetheart 😍 like I’m fixing to hold my husband at a different standard! 😂 Carter always has something sweet to say to Leighton, or something sarcastic and funny to say to Braxton. The dynamic of the couples in this book is just special. Cutest little group of psychopaths ever! Dancing, 🩸, 💀, the game, and plenty of 🌶️ to go around in this quick burn is just what the doctor called for.

Wow! First off the spice was spicing! And the main characters Dani, Braxton, Carter, and Leighton were such a good friend group!

The trauma and the way everyone just accepted the k I l l I n g s after everything honestly made sense to me. With how shitty Dani’s childhood was, she deserved to go off the way she did. She’s a fighter that’s for sure.

Daddy Brax was hot and protective. I love a loyal man who sees what he wants and keeps it. You could tell he would move heaven and earth for Dani.

Carter, man I can’t wait to see more of this goofball! He was your comic relief best friend that you need to lighten up the mood.

Leighton is a mafia princess, which makes sense why she wasn’t put off by the inner darkness everyone else had. She’s a true friend that you want in your corner.

Overall I think Shadows of Rage is a really good first novel. There are some critics: I’d love to see more with outside people, like how others interact with Braxton and see his coldness towards them, and some of the time jumps weren’t portrayed easily for me. I feel all of these are just things that can be fixed with more writing later on! I cannot wait to see Adeline Storm’s growth in the next novel!

This was a quick read filled with all the goodies!!! It’s a dark romance, so please be mindful of the authors warnings!
Howeverrrr, if you’re anything like me, the darker the better and this one hit them all!! It’s heavy smut and it was delicious!! Debut novel for Adeline, and she nailed it!!!

Adeline debute book is an absolute masterpiece in this book we follow 4 characters that are the main 4 threw out the book Brax and Dani along with Leighton and Carter. Dani and Brax have a love that unfolds through out the book as well and Carter and Leighton. With out giving a lot away I recommend this book so much I found once I started to read it I couldn’t put it down. It does leave in a cliffhanger for book 2 which I can’t wait to read.
