When one enemy falls, another will rise.

Never and her friends had hoped for a reprieve after stopping a murderer, but when they get home they’re met with a new and terrifying case.

Someone is kidnapping the children of the supernatural community, and even Never’s friends are impacted. A rescue mission is organized, but it’s hard to hunt down your enemy when you don’t know who they are.

When Never’s party stumbles into a trap that distorts their reality, it’s up to her intuitive abilities to find them a way out. As they get closer to finding the children, Never begins to realize she might not be what she thought she was.

She might be something more.

Never Mind is the sixth installment in the action-packed Shifter Vengeance urban fantasy series featuring twists, mystery, and found family.

Ok, I'm going to throw the mic down here, not because of me, but because this author has provoked, evoked, smoked, ALL the flipping feels from me! So, well done Ms Reames, YOU deserve the mic!

Just as never solves and resolves (Never style!) a major threat to her and the world, she's thrown right back. And her agenda is simple, find and rescue some missing kids, kill those responsible. Yep, no half measures for Never, she freaking THRIVES in violent battles! And no, she's not off her rocker, she's unashamedly Never! With her growing found family, she's finally come to acknowledge she HAS a family. And of course, she has the most magnificent dragon by her side, her mate Nahum. Although, Never's life is the last thing from dull.... Now that she's determined to find the kids, she's leans once more on the Bone Reader and golly, what she learns amps the stakes yet again. Even magical barriers, magically enduced confusion doesn't deter her, never mind WHAT she supposedly is up against. Yes.... that's my Never, danger, trauma, pain is nothing to her resoluteness! And barrels through she does, in true Never form but when the foe is a Risik, the stakes are even higher, they aren't anything to scoff at. Geesh, what Never discovers she can do, what she is, disbelief is all round. Yep, disbelief that this author can control and manoeuvre the narrative every which way. If never feels as though she's been bombarded by a bomb, I'm picking pieces of shrapnel out my punctured body!

The magic this author dreams up is ingenious! So much magic, so uniquely awesome, earth shattering! And glory be is the action TENSE!!! For a moment there I truly thought all the metamorphic changes to Never were.... sucked away but Aggie rises to her full glory! I confess I released a "woosh" through my lips in relief. Never finally gets the "team work is dream work"! Her friends, her family, all rallied together, having each others backs but the one who surprised me the most was the Bone Reader, I wanted to kiss him! Yes, if you see WHAT he did, you'd love every bit of him too, even the concealed duplicitous side! And there's a Rumpelstiltskin.... I'll just let that sink in....

I'm not going to dissect the characters or the plot or the storytelling, it should be evident that it's all stupendous! Every book gets better and better, with every book, amazingly, unbelievably, I get more vested. The author truly sets stage gloriously, drapping and shrouding vital backdrops not only from Never but from the reader too. And when the curtain plunges down, I'm agog, I'm flabbergasted, I can barely think processing all the events! In fact, as Feral's response attests, "the flabber is gasted",which ultimately leads me to jump up and applaud the author vigorously until my hands hurt. The next book in the series can't come fast enough!

After cleaning up the CoED compound and getting rid of Mizar permanently, Never and her friends are right back at it. Supernatural children are missing, including Lynx’s triplets, and the enforcers sent to look for them are turning up dead.
Joining some people from the restructured Magiksa the adventure is just beginning. When a spell causes the groups to fight each other, they discover that there are spots in their path that have a mind changing spell. Only Never and Ever (Nadia) seem to be immune and they have their hands full. There is a new character, a hyena shifter named Jackel who seems to be very similar to Never in attitude. There are also some obnoxious witches, bad warlocks, as well as a variety of others.
There is a lot of action, humour and the usual great character interactions. There is more information from the Bone Whisperer and his family. There is also some more information about how Never has changed from her visit to the underworld. There is absolutely nothing about this book I didn’t like.
This is a fast, enjoyable read with a bit of a surprise at the end.
Definitely worth reading.

Simply Brilliant! ** NO SPOILERS **

Gah! The end of book 6 and it’s all about the cliffhangers.

In the supernatural world there are all kinds of beings, some are exceptional. Never is a Were, not a wolf shifter she doesn’t have two souls like the shifters do. When she changes to her beast form or putting her fur on she looks like the horror film version of werewolves. She has an epic temper that often gets her into trouble.

Now that she’s been dragged out of isolation a lifetime of vengeance and forced to socialise she’s made friends. Those same friends who came to meet her on her journey out of the underworld and through Fae after being nearly dead. Now it’s their turn to do the asking, the case that had ground to a halt with no leads has reared its head again. Supernatural children are missing, kidnapped and whatever reason they were taken for there’s one guarantee, it’s not going to be good.

Just when you think this incredible team are going to catch a break, well you would be wrong as Never and Co now have to find out who is taking kids from the supernatural community. We dive right on in, to hunt down the bad guys, to save the day but all is not as it seems. It’s an exciting and thrilling addition to this fantastic series as more questions are answered and we get to watch this extraordinary family grow even more. These characters are fantastic, their adventures captivating and enthralling and I am thoroughly enjoying this world.

Another great installment to the Shifter Vengeance series! I just can’t get enough of these books ! In book 6, Never and her friends have to find children that have been kidnapped from the supernatural community, and it hits close to home as a triplets of a friend have been taken. We learn more about Never’s new abilities and meet some new characters. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out! If you like bad a$$ FMCs, found family, urban fantasies with a lot of action, you won’t want to miss the shifter vengeance series! It just keeps getting better and better.

It's hard to type a spoiler proof review after book 3 but here goes

Never & co are back for another adventure (at this point, we are hostages...just along for the ride) so Never & her crazy family of various supernaturals are on the hunt for whoever keeps kidnapping supernatural kids all over the globe. But this time it's personal....they've taken Lynxs triplets & Auntie Never is not happy about it..... Heads are going to roll... Literally
Full of our favourite Were's snark, sass & kickass. This book does not disappoint

Never a dull moment

This series is a constant surprise, new revelations, new enemies, and challenges for Never and her team of misfits to overcome. She has come a long way from book 1, and her journey of self-discovery is almost over bot the challenges are just beginning. Her relationship with B.R. is complicated and about to become more confusing.. I am really enjoying this series, the friendships and comraderie and Never's honesty in a world filled with deception.

All the things!

Great book! Great story! In several of Never’s books I cried because her past is just so heartbreaking. I love that she now has family and people that care about her like she needs to be cared about. Jackal is a great addition. I love what he taught Never. I’m excited to see how this ends. I know there will be deaths and I don’t know if I’ll be ready for that.

Great series

Love the characters, in particular the main character-Never who is strong, loyal and tough. Lots of action and the importance of chosen & blood family make the series worth reading.

Probably my favourite so far, but I think I've said that about each one. I love the new characters and can't wait to hear a bit more. The storyline is a heart wrencher but in a perfect way. Action by the bucket load and a few more mysteries to puzzle over.
Never's books are unforgettable

I have truly loved seeing Never’s character develop over this series. The way she approaches people has changed and the way she’s opened up has been soooo heartwarming, even when she’s in the middle of kicking a bad guy’s ass. 🤣 I love a good found family and the one she’s built is fantastic. And in this particular book we get more answers about what the Bone Reader has helped Never become… I LOVED this but of world lore and am very excited for the epic level that it’s going to bring the series conclusion to in the next (and final) book. I’m both super excited and super sad to see how Never’s story will end.
