Superstition
When Caitlyn Deveraux's brother Gage is killed in Iraq, she receives a necklace as part of his personal effects that she thinks is a trinket he'd purchased for her. When she scatters his ashes according his exact instructions and repeats the words he'd written, she accidentally inhales some of the ashes. From that moment on, her life as a quiet librarian is turned upside down.
Jacob Littlejohn was not only Gage Deveraux's best friend, he was his team mate at Team Indigo. He should have been there to protect Gage, but he wasn't. Now he's determined to protect Caitlyn from the men who are after the necklace. It's no trinket, but rather a powerful amulet that could have devastating consequences if it fell into the wrong hands.
Caitlyn doesn't know how to handle the new powers she's received, so she heads back to her village, to her grandmother, to try to understand what's happening to her. In doing so, she brings danger to her people and gets involved in Team Indigo's current mission--the same mission that got her brother killed. She enlists the aid of her people and her three best friends, and together with Jacob and Team Indigo, they set out to stop a power-hungry General.

This book has a little bit of everything: adventure, romance, shapeshifter etc.... action packed from beginning to end!! All the characters are strong and play an important role in the story..... The ladies are tough and the men are rough! I loved the romantic tension between many of the characters. An enjoyable read!
I applaud Tori Scott for her excellent writing style that has grown a lot.

Shapeshifters, black ops, special powers, friend or foe this book has it all and then some. The story grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go. I enjoyed learning about all the characters and their various abilities, powers and or skills. The woman kicked butt which is always good reading and when you mix that with good looking alpha males you can't lose. Really enjoyed this 1st book in this new series and am looking forward to what's next.

Are you looking for a thrilling adventure ,mystery and suspense with a paranormal twist? If so this book is a must read. Fast paced and edgy this wonderfully written story will pull you in and keep you turning the pages and then leave you wanting more. Superstition is a high octane thrill ride about a group of elite men and women who possess supernatural abilities and use them to prevent catastrophic events from taking place in the world . Catityn after finding out about her brother Gage's death is sucked into this wild and crazy world because her brother left her a ancient artifact with special powers. However strange things start happening and Caitlyn unaware of the power the necklace holds finds herself being followed and afraid. She meets Friar Tuck (aka Jacob Littlejohn ), a co worker of her brothers' and slowly begins to understand the life her brother led and that she has some special abilities of her own.She heads to the Superstition mountains and the home she left behind in search for answers. She is also being tracked by the FBI and things are definitely getting crazy as her friends from home follow the FBI in hopes of finding out what he wants with their friend. Follow this group of friends and Team Indigo on their mission to discover the facts surrounding Gage's death and to stop a corrupt government official out to take over the world. Can these girlfriends and Team Indigo stop him in time? I guarantee you'll be as intrigued as I was and looking forward to more of Team Indigo.

Definitely action/adventure with a lot of paranormal and a bit of futuristic/ sci-fi thrown into the mix. Entertaining but somewhat predictable and required significant suspension of belief without a lot of foundation. One of the reviews mentioned wanting to see this as a movie which I think would work well.
The most interesting part of the book for me was the paranormal abilities inherent in the Native American group and would have enjoyed more development with that and more character development as well.

This is my favorite of Tori Scott's books so far! I absolutely LOVE this book! Native American spiritually & mystic, with special forces type ops, mystery and romance all mixed up in one book.
