The second little story about Erling and his sexy dragon.

He allows Magnus to scoop him up in his arms as if he weighs nothing and carry him toward the shore. “I’m sorry that I scared you.”
“You’ve been lucky. If you’d had the audacity to die before me, I’d have to follow you into Hel’s realm and demand you back.”
🐉💗🐉

Flopping down on the soft bedding, Erling clasps his hands behind his neck and spreads his legs slightly. He aims for a relaxed posture. For seduction. More likely, he looks ridiculous. But he knows that Magnus doesn’t care either way. 🐉😳🐉

Well, now I'm hooked, I hope there will be more adventures of these two at some point.

“What’s so funny?” Erling snarls.
“You,” the creature rasps.

After loving The Magic of Vanaheim, I was so excited to see there were a few short stories available! This one features Erling, a heroic character of old briefly mentioned in the full-length story from this world.

“He’s my—” The love of my life, the other half to my whole, my everything. Erling falters, no convenient lie coming past his lips.
“Bodyguard,” Magnus ends the sentence for him, grinning smugly. “My lord is in dire need of me. He attracts trouble.”

Erling and Magnus were super cute, and I love that it followed a few of the actions from the stories/legends of Erling - like

Another look at Erling and the dragon

Following on from The Sacrifice, another short story, Erling and the dragon return again to prove that not all legends are strictly accurate. I love these two and hope that Saga considers writing more about them, perhaps a novella, as I'd love to see more of their adventures.
The Magic of Vanaheim is set later in the same universe and I absolutely devoured it. Erling and the dragon are mentioned in it and though you don't need to read these two free little gems, you'd be missing out.

Just as with The Sacrifice, I give this barely a 3. What there is of it is well written, but this doesn’t feel like a complete story. It’s more like a chapter from the middle of a story. And the stories the people tell of Prince Erling are though Erling is dead. If he’s gallavanting around the kingdom fighting battles for his sister, Queen Signy, then who is he pretending to be? Am I to believe that the “9 Worlds Series” will be essentially nine chapters comprising the full story? Ugh!
