There was nothing in the book description that warned me about the language and the sheer stupidity of this book. I dnf'd at 2% when it became obvious that this wasn't going to be 'sensual' If the rest of the book was anything like the first 1% then it was going to be smut. And crude smut at that.

And really - A five star hotel in London -and yes there IS a Connaught Hotel in London with a Coburg Bar- that actually allows a prostitute to walk into the bar and offer her services to a guest? Surely SOMEONE on duty would have intervened, especially as the woman made NO effort to act properly.

And - He orders 'steak frites with truffle mayonnaise. No ketchup.' WHAT THE HELL?? This is England, not Trump's America - I really REALLY doubt that the Connaught Hotel would even HAVE ketchup, let alone serve it with steak frites! And why does it come on two plates??

And - one of the daughters of the 'Royal Family' is called Victoria III !!! WHAT ??? Victoria the Third? That makes NO sense whatsoever. The third WHAT? In England we don't 'number' our children. If Victoria is next in line for the throne (which wouldn't happen as the law of primogeniture had not changed) then she STILL wouldn't be called Victoria III. And monarchs do not have to use their main christian names anyway.

And - The King would not be known as King Albert Christian Patrick David II. He would be Albert II. Our monarch is Elizabeth II, not Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor II.

I have to say, if *I* owned the Connaught Hotel (and it HAS to the real Connaught Hotel - given that it mentions the Coburg bar) and I read about a waitress who flaunted her 'tits' in front of a guest, and that a prostitute was allowed to tout for business with no one stopping her, I would be fucking livid and on the phone to my lawyers. (and that's saying it politely.)

Euw. I am now going to wash my eyes. And hands. euw.

Rant over.

This was an incredibly intense and emotionally packed story! There is so much history between Barrett and Charlie; they know each other to tee.

I love me an obsessive older, billionaire MMC and Lord Barrett absolutely ticked all of those boxes! That man is the definition of alpha, possessive, Dom with a completely feral and filthy mouth. I blushed SEVERAL times….

I loved the charged energy between Barrett and Charlotte! Their chemistry was off the charts, and the emotions they felt were so raw. After over a decade in an on and off again relationship they meet again, and work together for a mutual client putting them back in each others’ lives.

I really adored Charlie for a variety of reasons, the main one being she absolutely knows how to stand up for herself. She doesn’t take crap from anyone, okay maybe Barrett occasionally only because he knows her so incredibly well. She is composed, driven, and loyal. I love how she cares for those in her inner circle.

There are so many twists and turns with the plot in this story. Barrett is battling his conniving family, as they blackmail him and those he loves. The justice he gets at the end is very well deserved.

This is a perfect second chance romance with an obsessive, protective MMC and a feisty FMC. Their chemistry is amazing and it to see them finally get their HEA was so emotional. Barrett has always loved her and been faithful to her, even if she couldn’t know the truth. And Charlie, ugh she had tried and tried again to move on from Barrett but never could because they were meant to be.

This book has suspense, spice, plot, and amazing characters! Thank you so much to Scarlett Avery and the Author Agency for incredible read. Excited to read Amelia’s story next.

You're All I Think About

I was so thrilled by this book. Barrett and Charlotte first saw each other when she was to young but lost their hearts to each other. They waited until she became of age to connect as he went to the British navy. Their relationship is filled with twists and turns. He is the successful lawyer and she is the publicist for a teen star who can't keep quiet. As they renew their relationship they both fall harder and as you read you get introduced to Scarlet's characters from some of her other books. I loved reading how Charlotte's best friend helps Barrett design the perfect ring. Of course Nikolaj and her dad had to help too!🎉🎉🎉🎉💖💖💖💖

I loved this one THE MOST!!

Of the 3 books in this trilogy I vote for “Delectably British” as THE BEST ONE!! I absolutely FLOVED this story - all the way around!! Even the parts that were sad to read were sooo good!Charlie and Barrett were awesomely in love. They first met when Charlie was just 15 years old and Barrett told her she was too young. Barrett was 5 years older and in the British army. They kept in touch and when Charlotte (aka Charlie) became of legal age Barrett became her first. The story then follows the ups and downs of their on/off relationship. Totally awesome! I started reading the book, took time off to sleep, and finished it this afternoon. It was VERY WELL worth my money AND my time!!!

This was an exciting story. It happens within the same time as Bad Boy Seals. There are parts that intertwine but both can be read as a standalone and of course an HEA! I absolutely love these stories. This has soo many feels. Take a ride and read this book!

HOT and Steamy!

Ms. Avery knows how to give a quality written story one can really get lost in! A hot alpha male who likes control in the bedroom and respected outside it. A sassy, smart, women who doesn't mind her man taking the lead. A good story with twists and turns and a lot of incredible steamy intimacy scenes! Would have given this 5 stars, but not a fan of all the God's and usages throughout the story. Way too much! Proofreading also had a few glitches which would have made things a wee bit smoother. Overall a great read. Enjoy!

Meant to be

Barrett and Charlie's story is so complicated that the on again off again romance didn't make sense at first until later in the story. Barrett really had a lot going on with his family, but how he chose to handle it with Charlie was completely wrong.
Their story has many ups and downs, but well worth the read. Hot steamy scenes together, their chemistry is off the charts!

—————————————————————-

This is the story of Charlie and Barrett, two people who had a long relationship in the past but broke up and ran into each other again while working.

As soon as they meet again you can feel the tension and connection between these two crackle.

Barrett was soooooo hot. I loved him so much. There are secrets that gradually come to light that he wants to protect Charlie from. Some of his actions made me think he was a huge jerk but at the same time, he did everything he could to make Charlie comfortable. He really cared for her.

Normally I don't like second chance romances very much, they are usually slow burners and I often don't have the patience for that. But I this case there was absolutely none of that and because the spice was smoking hot and their HEA was great it made me love this book!

Charlotte's first love

Barrett Ascott, Lawyer
Charlotte (Charlie) Wentworth, Publicist

Barrett and Charlie, had a past. Do they have a chance at a future?

It was love at first sight for Charlie, when she met, Barrett, at the age of 15. He was much older, more experienced in life. Due to, Charlie's age, Barrett thinks it best to keeping things platonic, until she (Charlie) becomes of age. I'm the meantime, Barrett decides to join the British Navy. When, Charlie turns 18 and Barrett, returning from his tour, they finally consummate their relationship.
From that !moment forward, there were many ups and downs, ins and outs, in this relationship. There is tons of love one minute and heartache and sorrow the next. I'll ask again, do they have a chance at a future?

Scarlett, knows how to write a story, that just draws you in and holds you captive, from beginning to end. I love how every book, she writes has a mention of characters of past books in her library.

This is a 5 star review, and a recommendation of a must read by everyone looking for a steamy romance.

Thank You Scarlett, I truly enjoyed You're All I Think About, and am anticipating the next installment in this wonderful "series". Keep up the good work.

Scarlett rocks filthy mouth !!!

This book and its contents are hot ,hot ,hot !! The lead characters , Charlie and Barrett are crazy about each other, they're just having a hard time figuring it out and admitting it . Charlie a super beauty at age 15 catches the eye of Barrett, a gorgeous man at 20 years of age. Hence begins a love affair that spans the next ...oh..forever , although Barrett does not date Charlie until she turns 18 as he is a consummate gentleman . Evil doers work hard to turn the lovers against each other . The mystery is ...why ? Why are these people doing this to Barrett and unbeknownst to Charlie , her too ? A great story from beginning to end. If you're prudish about steaming hot sex and filthy talk , then this book isn't for you . I on the other hand loved it !!

Brilliant

Another amazing story by Scarlett Avery. Barrett and Charlotte have love each other since the moment they met but it's a up and down relationship. When they are together it's fireworks and hot, steamy sex but when they aren't together they can't stop thinking about each other. The story has many twists and turns and I enjoyed every minute of it. I also loved both the characters.

Sexy read !!

I am a hugh Scarlett Avery fan and Charlie and Barrett's story is another great read. I had sworn off Ms. Avery's books after the whole race changing debacle from her other British series but,I realized the world has not changed as much as I'd like and it was grossly unfair to blame the writer for society's ills. This story is classic Avery fun, sexy and captivating. Nothing beats a great second chance romance. Rock on Scarlett !!!

This is a new-to-me author who I will be sure to read more of. The love story between Charlie and Barrett is sweet and the way that it develops over time is beautiful. The characters are some of the best developed I have read in a while. It adds a touch of realness to the whole thing. I am so glad I found Scarlett Avery and I can't wait to read more.

First off lots of spice. To the point it was repetitive. I liked the storyline and where it could go. I loved the FMC and I love the MMC mom she cracked me up. All the side characters were great. The banter was awesome. The MMC was extremely arrogant to the point it would annoy me sometimes but I would look past it. If you’re wanting a lovers to enemies to lovers this is the book for you. Second chance or many chances. They have been on again and off again for years. I did like how the FMC was a bad B at her job and all her accomplishments. If you’re wanting a ton of talking about smut over and over this is also for you. They are back and forth a lot arguing and fighting. Granted the MMC is lawyer but it’s to the point that maybe it was too much? -Kerin

This book started off well and hooked me but about a quarter of the way through I started to lose interest quickly. The main male character just came across as far too closed off and overly brooding. It is a billionaire romance with some back story and history with the FMC with a delicious mix of BDSM. But I did not find myself with a lot of interest held in the relationship between the two of them as a whole.

The overplot was rather intriguing and that was the only thread that pulled me through the book. This just was not the book for me. There was nothing wrong with the way it was composed or the introduction or growth of the lead characters, I just did not find it interesting enough to want to read again.

If you love very strong lawyer billionaire alpha type with a bad ass lady boss where this couple has a tragic backstory and have a lot of growth to take and trust to earn back as there are dark secrets to uncover – then this is for you. For this reader, it is not her genre. 3 stars- Marhen

The spice between Barrett and Charlotte is hot and spicy. The slow burn in this book is smoking. The chemistry between Barrett and Charlotte is crazy.

The story behind the book was great, Barrett and Charlotte end up in Athens because of a mutual client. Barrett is his lawyer and Charlotte is his publicist so they need to bail him out and clean up his image. Barrett and Charlotte had broken up six months prior because Barrett has been dealing with some family drama and he'd been pushing Charlotte away so she walked. The two had been together for years so when they see each other again after six months apart, the sparks fly.

I had a hard time getting through this book, the FMC referred to the MMC as "mate" and that's not counting how the two of them referred to everyone as "mate". I really wanted to ask how old the characters were if I didn't already know. Also there wasn't a lot explained to us throughout the book, so we were left guessing, we were left in the dark. As readers, we want to be surprised and have things unfold with the story and we want to find out as the characters find out, but I feel like as a character would be told something, it would fade to black and we were left to wonder what it was. Also, there were a lot of exclamation marks used which I've never seen before.

The story was great as were the characters. I really loved Barrett and Charlotte.

This book I saw all over my BookTok and it caught my attention. I enjoyed this story but I'll it was missing something for me. I give it an honest 3.7 stars but rounded up for this selection of stars.

I loved the chemistry between both characters, it's clear they were meant for each other and fully trusted each other. The steam and connection between them were fantastic, a lot more fun in the start of the book and trailed a little by the time the end came.

I wish there was a mini novella that covered the beginning of the relationship between Charlotte and Barrett. Yes, there are hints to the start of their relationship, but the way the book starts, I felt like I was missing a previous story. We're constantly reminder as a reader that this couple have years of history, but you don't get much of why she ended things or why she was running off.

I enjoyed the story but just felt the ending was rushed. I saw through the porn story faster than Charlotte watching the dang video. I feel like the author got caught up in something else and rushed through the ending and a few other key plot points. It's a fun read for sure that was easy and steamy. If you're wanting more, this isn't the book you need. I'm sure with a little more TLC this book would be fantastic. It was by no means terrible, just rushed and missing key aspects of its plot, relying on characters intense chemistry and fun times.
