In the midst of their busy writing schedule, Elizabeth and Jim love spending time with their two married daughters and eight grandchildren, taking daily walks along golden sands, and enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian sunsets. They divide time residing in Honolulu, Hawaii and the Washington State coast.
In these more specific books, Jim and Elizabeth George dig deeper into what being a Biblical husband and wife really mean and looks like. I enjoy their honest yet considerate and respectful approach to the wide variety of issues in marriage as they pertain to each the role. They are gentle yet firm and stas true to the Word of God.
I personally liked how these books were basic yet broad at the same time. They were also deep yet easy to understand and apply as well. They push spiritual growth based on the truth - the Bible.
Both of these books are great to be used on an individual basis, in counseling/mentoring situations, as group studies, and as a couple. They would also make some great pre-marital or newlywed counseling material to work through.

Good read -- nothing earth shattering or too terribly "deep" but a lot of great reminders and tips for how husbands should treat their wives (from a Christian, biblical perspective) to keep and maintain a healthy, strong, vibrant marriage.
The practical nature of this book has been a re-read for me. I pull out my copy and have many sentences underlined and four note papers placed in different sections of the book. The counsel in the book is for the man as a husband and a father.
Men, let's get honest with following the Lord in our marriage.
I honestly don't know how to review this book. It was good, but not that good; it was just mediocre. I ended up disagreeing with the author on a few issues presented in this book. The author seems to be a little out of touch with difficult marriages, and offers shoulds and coulds and ways to be the best in your marriage where it doesn't apply. I've read a few marriage books over the years and this book was the first book that didn't offer anything substantial. The information just didn't apply. Granted, it could help someone else out, but for me, it didn't speak volumes at all. Recommend it? Probably not.
