** Those sassy, sexy lions of Fire Ridge Pride and Amber Light Pride are back in a new series. This is not a standalone.
The night Zander Crow Luciano was born, there was a problem. He'd arrived early, in the middle of a Gods Council meeting, and Fate assisted in his birth. She accidentally cut her finger, and her blood changed Zander's magic. He's now known as Tarot.
With one touch, he could see someone's future, living out their moment of death. His job was to warn people and change their path. His magic kept him from having many friends, and lovers were a negotiation in the spelled dark at Rina DuBois' The Den.
The Gods Council promised him a mate, someone who held that magic at bay and would love him as he was. They bound him to MacLaden Pride and swore their King was his mate. Thankfully, they kept the name off the mating contract.
Killian Yael Di Gatti, on again off again lover of the god Erebus, kept his identity a secret until his grandfather, the God Ignis, accidentally on purpose, ashed Axl Donadieu's vessel. Now, Killian must claim his birthright as the King of MacLaden Pride.
Secrets are revealed as Killian steps in to fix the mess left by the war, including a contract forged by the Gods, which mates the King to Zander Luciano.
Killian has long preferred the meet, greet, and flee method of getting laid. He's willing to give mating a chance, but Zander is afraid. Can Killian convince him to burn, or will Zander choose to fly?
"The connection was too strong to ignore, and I could touch him without learning anything I didn’t want to know."
This new series, All Bite, is a great addition to the Fire Ridge Pride/Blood-rights world/universe written by Jae Greyn. I'm excited to see what Jae does with this new series. I was sad when the Fire Ridge Pride series ended but then we got the Blood-rights series. When that series ended I was like, nooooo... it can't be over. I'm so happy this new series is set in that same world/universe.
This is a quick spicy read and I loved the ride. Jae has a way of spinning a tale that always surprises me. Each book builds on the last and the uniqueness of each always leaves me excited for the next book. What's in store for us next, only Jae knows that!!!
I highly recommend that you read the previous books, in both series, before starting this new one otherwise you might feel a bit lost. The author has added some background information, on their website, on characters and pertinent information about this universe they've created. There's a link at the beginning of the book that takes you directly to this information, it is quite thorough.
There's an 80 year old mating contract that hasn't been fulfilled. There's a pride that needs a king in the worst way after Xeno's machinations basically tore it apart. Will these two guys find a way to pull the pride back together while working through their personal issues? All I can say is you'll have to read the book to find out.
If you haven't read the Fire Ridge Pride or the Blood-rights series, you'll be lost. The author has book summaries on their website. I thought the summaries would help refresh the story lines and it did, somewhat. But it won't really be of help to someone coming in cold. There's lots of moving pieces on this gameboard. Because he has the correct bloodlines, Killian Di Gatti becomes the King of the MacLaden Pride. Very reluctantly. He acquires a house and a toddler, courtesy of Axl. And a fated mate, Zander Crow Luciano. Lots of steam, some angst. Lots of intrigue. Killy and Zee have chemistry and the animals they share their vessels with are compatible. And a bit pushy. Jules is a sweet boy. And the other secondaries are well written. An enjoyable, quick read. Can't wait for more.

Loved the Fire Ridge Pride series by Jae and this was a brilliant series starter for their new series. Highly recommend you read the previous books otherwise you will not get the best from this book! It is definitely not a stand alone! Exceptionally well written storyline with plenty of steam and some angst. Brilliant characters from Jae, as always! Zander and Killian are just meant for each other and have an instant chemistry. Great bunch of secondary characters so I know the following books are going to be equally good, can't wait!.

This is a great start to another new series in the set in the fire ridge / blood rights world it’s definitely better to have read both them series to get the full enjoyment from this story. Killian and Zander are great together and I’m looking forward to reading what happens next in this series.
Before you go as far as deciding to get this book and start reading you really must make sure to read its predecessors - Fire Ridge Pride and Blood Rites, then this one will make sense and I promise you won't look back once you have started reading these stories.
Magic, paranormal, and some sassy, seriously sexy lions await as we begin Killian and Zander's story - Killy and Zee as they are known to their friends.
Zander was born at an inconvenient moment, in the midst of a meeting of the Gods Council Meeting and Fate accidentally bled on his tongue changing his magic. His name is now Tarot which may give you an idea. Zee can see the fates of those he touches. He has had to spend his life wearing gloves and has a career as a builder as a result.
Killy is the off again on again lover of the god Erebus and has managed to keep his true identity a secret. Then his grandfather, the god Ignis accidentally but on purpose, ashed the vessel (human body) which was hosting Axl. Now Killian has no choice, he has to step up and claim his birthright, he is King of the McLaden Pride. It isn't going to be easy, there will be some fights, a child for Killy that he wasn't expecting, a new home but also friendships and a lover.
At some point in the past the Gods mated Zander to the King of the Pride. They didn't put a name on the contract. They are tricky these gods. It seems Zander and Killian are mates but Killian has always been a fan of the quick liaison, hence his on again off again with Erebus. He might give mating a chance but Zander is scared, of the commitment, of not being able to protect Killian. Will they trust and choose each other?
Another outstanding story by Jae Greyn, one that continues the series perfectly. It isn't without its complexities as we discover more about the MacLaden Pride, meet new characters and see how old ones are connected. There are plenty of children in this new book too so I can see it panning out into a few books as the complexities of reestablishing the Pride after the War work themselves through. I love the first person present tense style of writing and yes, sometimes I have to go back to clarify things but it does what it sets out to do. Brings us an outstanding story from the point of view of specific characters and I know this is just the founding of a new series I won't be able to live without!.
