Raised in the foothills of the mystical Blue Ridge Mountains, I attribute my love of beautiful landscapes, and fascination with all things paranormal, to my environment. The settings and characters in my novels reflect my appreciation for natural beauty, as well as a desire to explore the what-if’s of things unseen. Throw in a degree in Psychology, paired with a strong interest in the workings of the criminally insane mind, and you have a breeding ground for a psychological thriller.

Becoming an author was not a conscious decision; I've always been a writer. Channeling a passion for story-telling into my livelihood required a giant leap of faith, one that I'll never regret as I truly love what I do.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy antiquing, bead-weaving and sharing time with my incredible daughter and our two spoiled-rotten cats.

I liked this book until the end. It ended very abruptly and then jumped to another storyline evidently from another book in the series which I had not read.

"An Outstanding Psychological Thriller With a Few Paranormal Whispers"

I enjoy the stories written by Author Tallulah Grace. They are easy and fast to read, keeping the reader involved in trying to solve mysteries and crimes. In this novel FBI Special Agent Jeri Forbes assigned to the SSCD (Special Serial Crimes Division) leads her team to the mountains, northwest of Atlanta, Georgia where three seven-year-old children have been gruesomely tortured and murdered. Her investigative partner is Adam Gold, and Jackson Smythe and Cara Watson make up the team. The governor of Georgia has asked that Kelly Carlisle of the Atlanta District Attorney's Office join the team just so he can be kept advised as to the progress of the investigation. Kelly does take the investigation seriously and joins in with her assistance in tracking all known information. Before long, the unsub is linked to similar murders in Oregon and Colorado...a total of 11 seven-year-olds murdered. Kelly has her her own personal mission as seven years ago her husband, daughter, parents, and her in-laws were all murdered on Christmas Eve. She's held this sadness in her and has not sought any friendships or relationship with men; that is, until she is introduced to Adam Gold, who also has a strong attraction to her. Regardless, they stay focused on the mission and on the heels of the criminal, taking them into the woods of the mountains. This is a harrowing thriller which I could not put down. There are twists and turns, tension, and the characters are compelling. Highly recommend.

Interesting quick read from my kindles. Not a very long story, had a fast pace and held my interest. I liked it well enough to pick up a second story by the same author.

To qualify: If not for free or cheap on my kindle, probably wouldn't have read it, so its a good thing I subscribe to Bookbub.

Not a book to start before bed...very intense and with children involved not for everyone. I love the series and continuity of keeping in touch with others from previous books. Well worth the shudders and shivers. But reading the first trilogy first will be worth the time.

Do not want to read a story about someone kidnapping and killing children. No. Have no desire to read another page of this book. I thought I'd at least try....
