This book was so poorly written I could only get through the first third of it. It reads like it was written by AI. Don't waste your time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 🌶️

Gina always provides an easy, quick read where a happy ever after is guaranteed.

Christian and Fiona are so loveable in this story! Fiona has gained a job with Christian, thanks to his sister and her best friend. What she wasn’t expecting was the feelings she had for him as a child to come rushing back. Christian wasn’t prepared for how he would feel about Fiona either.

As their work relationship grows, so do their feelings for each other, although unknown to the other. Fiona knows it’s inappropriate to feel this way about her boss and Christian has an ex who will not leave him alone. His family (except his sister) wants to see him get back together with his ex, even if it more about business than feelings.

As their feelings bubble over, they will have to face scrutiny from both family, friends, and co-workers. Is this love they have for each other worth fighting for or will they both just admit doing what family and society wants is best, even if it leaves them broken and alone?

Gina writes stories that to a first time reader, may seem dry and fluff free. She has a voice that is unique and gets to the point. I feel it makes the really important things stand out and not get lost in the fluff. It is a very unique voice, like I said, but one I enjoy reading a lot.

As always review trigger warnings before reading.

Fiona comes back to her old hometown to work for her best friend’s brother (Christian) as his assistant. Problem she has had a crush on Christian for a long time but she can keep work and personal life separate. Christian took over CEO of his dad’s company. Christian is struggling with an ex girlfriend Aurora who happens to be his families close business partners daughter. Christian is feeling pressure to get back with Aurora but she treated him terribly and Fiona just gets him. Problem is Fiona has never been accepted by his family. Christian realizes his feelings for Fiona but will he choose her over pressured from his family. This is a cute fast paced short novel that you should definitely add to your TBR!

He was her crush for years and now she is her Assistant and neighbor. And it is complicated, also with his ex around and demanding him back. His parents also want his ex back.
Only Christian's sister is on their side.
Easy reading, loved their relationship story, from almost childhood friends, humor that lightens their business seriousness. Their relationship goes back and forward, back and forward many times. Loved the story-line.

Gina Cooper's "Falling for My Best Friend's Brother Next Door" is an emotionally charged romance that captivates from start to finish. The story follows Fiona Reece and Christian Carr, whose journey from friends to lovers is both relatable and deeply moving.

Fiona is portrayed with rich depth, showcasing her internal conflicts and fears about jeopardizing Christian’s career. Her journey towards self-acceptance and love is poignant and relatable. Is a sweet friends to lovers, off limits, close proximity romance with no cliffhanger.
One of the lines I really like ----- you need to start thinking is that you’re worthy of being the one he chooses. ------
What is Aurora up to? What does Melissa have against Fiona? What has Mason so upset? These and other questions will all be answered.
I love Fiona and Christian's story and I'm sure you will too. I loved everyone of her books and can't wait to read her next book. I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Falling for My Best Friend's Brother Next Door is a fun quick read. Fiona comes back into town to become an assistant for her best friend's brother Christian. The issue is that she has had a crush in him for years. Christian has an ex that won't take the hint that she is an ex and his family who is pressuring him to stay with her. Sparks begin to fly between her and Christian and you will have to read the book to find out what happens. The book is well written and the storyline is somewhat unique and fun to read.

Falling for my Best Friend's Brother Next Door by Gina Cooper ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fiona moves back to her hometown to accept a job offer. She will be an assistant to Christian. Christian is her best friend's brother whom she has a crush on. Can she keep it professional and avoid him from finding out about it.

Christian realizes he has feelings for her too. But his parents don't accept Fiona. Can he convince his parents that she's the one for him or walk away..

I guess you'll have to read it for yourself and find out.

Fiona has been in love with her best friend’s brother for years. She returns to their hometown and becomes his personal assistant. She spends most of the book trying to push those feelings down. Christian is juggling an ex who won’t take a hint and parents who don’t seem to want to listen. Christian starts to have feelings for Fiona and their relationship is very sweet. I wish that this book was longer and we got to see more of them.

Cute and predictable

I loved the HEA and the characters. I wasn't a fan of the writing style, it just didn't flow well for me. It was closed door romance with some kisses onlI loved the HEA and the characters. Not only does Fiona have to deal with the feelings she has had for her best friends brother (who is now her boss) there is the relentless ex girlfriend and his overbearing mother in the mix as well. I loved this book so much.

I wanted to like this book. It has a cute storyline and likable characters. However, the entire book , I mean the entire book, the conversations all felt stilted. There was so much left unsaid by the characters and instead the conversation was replaced with and so I told her/him so.

Great if you like Stilted Conversation

This reads like AI wrote it asked to make it as awkward and stilted as possible. No one talks like that, especially in their own head. I only made it twenty percent of the way through before I quit (and I usually don’t quit).

This book was exactly what I’ve come to expect from a Gina Cooper book. It has a good story line, interesting characters, romance, humor and a surprise twist or two. Fiona is not his sister’s friend that Christian remembers. Her teen crush has only matured and makes itself known at inconvenient times. As a reader of romantic fiction, you know that the romance will not go smoothly and there will be interference. I enjoyed the book.

DNF. This book has really weird sentence structure and wording. Almost like the author’s first language is not English or something. Or the book was written by AI.

Fiona Reece is back in her hometown, her brother talks his best friend to give her a job. Oh boy! She’s crushed on him in like forever …and now she’s his pa and his neighbour ! Lore she can’t get away from him ! Christian has an ex he can’t get away from , to make matters worse , her parents are friends with his parents…He’s taken the CEO position from his dad and it’d be good if Aurora the ex wasn’t the business partner’s daughter! Gad! He can’t get a break when all of a sudden Fiona enters his life and she’s a breath of fresh air, she sees him in a vulnerable state and her heart is all a flutter , it’s her first day and there’s no way she can go there but there’s no harm in dreaming now is there? Helping him heal from his break up is harder than she thought it would be . She’s making him feel better but she’s in lovesick misery. Only Christian is under pressure to get back with the ex while dreaming of Fiona she gets him and never judges or expects. Safe to say he’s smitten as a kitten and they’re on the same page. But his parents? They don’t approve, but the budding lovers can’t give up their chance of happiness because his parents want him to dance to a different tune. They’re in for the long haul and maybe soon they’ll go on honeymoon… lovely story well told , great writing by Gina Cooper and her characters are awesome .
