Dinner For Three: a filthy quickie

Rate this book
A short story from the sizzling hot Filthy Quickies series.

Julie's in an open relationship with two boyfriends, but her men have never met. She's hoping that dinner for three will turn into a red-hot threesome and a bright future for all of them. Maybe putting herself on the menu will help with that.

Contains whipped cream, a highly unusual way to serve fruit salad, some orgasmic fingercuff action and three very satisfied diners.

This short story is roughly 3,600 words long and is not intended for readers under the age of eighteen.

EXCERPT
Ethan greeted me with a kiss that promised all kinds of things and I let him in, my heart beating faster now that they were both under my roof.

"Ethan, this is Ben."

They shook hands and broke into a pair of nervous smiles. Bless them. They were so cute. "Wine?" I asked Ethan.

"Yes please." He brandished the flowers and the bottle of red he'd brought with him. I took them both and headed for the kitchen.

The sound of their voices travelled after me and I allowed myself a small smile. They were talking.

Not wanting to leave them alone together for too long, I dumped the flowers in a jug of water and filled three wine glasses.

"You can sit at the table," I told them as I brought out their drinks. "Dinner's ready to serve."

Both of them stood where I'd left them, looking more nervous than I'd ever witnessed.

"Do you need a hand?"

Maybe it would help break the ice. "Yeah, you can take the food out."

The table was already laid, so I got out the oven gloves and directed them to the food in the oven.

By the time the pork and all its trimmings were on the dinner table, we were laughing about the way I said "Shiraz" and everything felt so much more relaxed.

I put myself at the head of the table, with my boys on either side. When we sat down to eat, I took their hands and just had to say something to mark the occasion.

"Ben. Ethan. I hope you know how much I love you." I don't know if it was the wine or the company, but I started to tear up.

"Well, we love you too." Ben caught Ethan's eye across the table.

"Yes. I think we should have a toast."

I let go of them and blinked away the unshed tears.

"To the happy three." Ethan raised his wine and we did the same, echoing his toast and clinking our glasses together.

"Now let's eat," I said and heaved a sigh. The evening was going better than I'd dared hope.

The conversation flowed along with the wine and the laughter came easily. We finished our main course and Ben opened a second bottle.

“Is there any pudding?” Ethan asked.

Ben and I exchanged a knowing look. “I made fruit salad.”

“And there’s whipped cream.”

Ethan looked at Ben, then at me. “What’s the joke?”

“Help clear the table and I’ll dish up.” I said.

“No. I’ll dish up.” Ben winked at me and Ethan raised an eyebrow.

This was the bit of the evening I’d been looking forward to most of all. We cleared the table and I told Ethan to wait in the dining room while I helped Ben with dessert. I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face.

I found the writing to be decent. I found the preamble to be satisfying. It wasn't a tawdry jump to hump story. It did offer some building of the characters. I did however feel that the intimacy was a little low on the heat scale. I am not one to base all my review on that heat factor, but this wasn't warm enough. The novelty of the fruit play in the kinky post dinner dessert serving was okay. It wasn't wow. That was what it was for me.

For a supposed sexy, filthy story it's very unsexy and not a whole lot of filthy. It's been a while since I read a menage story this bad. The characters are flat, the setup for the sexy romp is...meh. There just isn't anything sexy about a girl being able to shoot fruit out of her vag, only to have a couple grapes to get stuck in there. The guys are pretty bland, and I wouldn't be able to tell one from the other.

The whole story is pretty much about the tell instead of the show. There is no chance to connect with any of the characters since we really never learn what any of them feels. There are better dirty menage stories out there.

"Standard fare from a skilled hand"

There's a typical format for this genre of book. What I found puzzling with this one was the writer can clearly write to a good standard. Other books can be littered with typos and the prelude to the inevitable action is brief and bland. I suspect this writer publishes under another name and I've read a better than average novel by them. I suppose there's more money to be made in this genre at present, but it's a shame.

A decent though odd kink erotic quick read some of the character build was good though the writing and story seemed off.
Pros
Good character build, it seemed good with three people in an open relationship though the reaction of them meeting each other was perfect.
Cons
Erotica was shit like adding a strange kink and then 1 page for the actual erotica was pointless.
Writing was off and brought the mood down I did notice a few spelling errors as well like nigh for nine.

It was okay. It needed a little more description of things. Just glad I got it for free. Not sure I will read more.

This book. I am not even quite sure where to start with this book. Basically, Julie’s two boyfriends are going to meet for the very first time in order to see if the three will work in a more poly type of relationship. The sex scene wasn’t that great and I felt could have been much better. I have read some really great sex scenes, even for free books. I felt that I couldn’t wait for it to be over and it was just uncomfortable. Not so much uncomfortable because I am a prude (I mean, just give a scroll through some of the erotica I have read or listened to and you will know and understand that I will read or listen to just about any book...smut or not.) I just thought this was more on the trash side, and not the good kind of trash.
Sometimes my boyfriend will say things like “you and your books” after our own sexytimes, because that is what “those books” should elicit out of it’s readers, and this book did nothing of the sort. If an erotic book cannot make a reader feel tingly inside, even in 12 pages (let’s face it, porn mag ‘articles’ are shorter), then maybe a re-work and re-wording of the story should be considered.

Synopsis: A short story from the sizzling hot Filthy Quickies series.

A very very short story of a dinner party with a difference. Julie has cooked a fabulous dinner for her boyfriend and has invited her other lover that Ben has never met, to join them so she can tell them she wants and loves them both.

Okay, whilst this may be a fantasy for some, with some very innovative ways to using whipped cream and fruit, it was basically just a “chapter” of sex, which was pretty hot and erotic…but nothing else going on.

If you like a short erotica shot, then you might enjoy reading Julie’s seducing recipes.

I downloaded this as a freebie from http://www.allromanceebooks.com/ . It had 4 heat flames for steaminess, which is really why I decided to go with it. It’s a very short story, so the action starts rather quickly. Other than one innovative way to serve fruit the sex scenes were sort of typical. I also didn’t care for the euphemisms used for sperm. The terms used were mainly “spunk” and “jizz”. I don’t know why, but it just came off as very highschoolish terms that a grown woman wouldn’t normally use when narrating at story. Overall, it was a fun read though.

Not really my thing but some people like it I am sure. One man is enough for me. Not a fantasy of mine.
