Parody business advice book presented as if written by Brian Butterfield, the Peter Serafinowicz character. Sold during Brian's 2024 "The Call of Now" tour and on his website.
This book was very educational and I learnt a lot from Brian’s mistakes about what not to do in business. An excellent follow up to his informative seminar The Call of Now, this is essential reading for any budding businessman, entrepreneur, or business man.
Being retired and living in Canada, I mistakenly believed that this book would have little relevance to me and my animal skinning business here in Alberta. I was wrong. It had absolutely no relevance whatsoever. However, I feel that I must point out that Mr. Butterfield has some of the most beautiful prose that it’s been my privilege to experience. Surely it’s just a matter of time before Mr. Nobel comes a knocking at Mr. Butterfield’s Weymouth, UK residence. Bravo!
Five stars out of 100. I tried several of the tips and ideas in this book, and now me, my family, my friends, my neighbours, friends and family of my neighbours, neighbours of my friends and family, family of my friends and neighbours, and someone I met at a train station, are all in severe debt.
The five stars it does earn are for the excellent use of black ink on white pages. To be fair to Brian, I think that could catch on.
I read this book from cover to cover. Although my knowledge of business has not increased, it at least makes an adequate drinks coaster or wacky chopping board. Unfortunately, my copy was signed which has drastically reduced its resale value as this is no longer like new. The paper used was lovely though. Perhaps the author should focus on their strengths and sell blank notepads?
Such a clever and funny book. Written so well you’ll find yourself reading it in Brian’s voice. I got the signed copy from the Apollo earlier this year and it’s one of the best books I own.
A funny book about the record breaking bankruptcy businessman with ruses guaranteed to fail in the modern age and for that matter the oldern age. Lolz.
