Alarms go off and the system collapses time and time again. During which, their memories gradually return. It turns out that even at the end of the world where there's only dust left, you're still the first person I met. What's so great about this system? We'll just destroy it. Нічого не зрозуміло, але дуже цікаво. Не знаю як у деяких виходить вигадувати такий сюжет.
Я, звичайно, вже здогадалась плюс мінус про любовний інтерес і що там могло трапитися. Але все-одно цікаво читати і дуже хочеться дізнатися як же все до цього привело. І вже хочу, щоб вони щось почали згадувати і нарешті відтанули один до одного.
Але сюжет дійсно цікавий. Всі ці іспити, загадки. Місцями навіть моторошно буває

According to Qin Jiu, You Huo is a "tough nut to crack" but I'm pretty sure he is a nut he wants to crack. XD

As the group of examinees plus the examiners spend their first day in the village, they have to face creepy, horrendous gossips which turn out to be more than just mere gossip when they wake up the next morning. One examinee is gone with only his roommate left behind in their room which is full of blood everywhere. But they still have to continue the exam and try to solve their given tasks.

Qin Jiu is still messing around with You Huo as usual, trying to make him use his special card which You Huo always refuses. As their second night arrives in the village, You Huo finds out some information regarding the examiners' ranking system. It turns out that Qin Jiu wouldn't be able to tell him more even if he wanted to since he doesn't remember much from those days. His memories are gone due to a supposed malfunction in the system.

You Huo and Qin Jiu wait for that mysterious person, who kidnapped one of them yesterday to catch him, then walk into the forest in the dead of the night to find the missing person. It feels like a scene from a horror film. But in a weird, grotesque way, they still have an exam question to solve by the time is up. Talking about working under pressure.

They're still solving the exam questions frantically, fearing who will be punished by the system next if they fail to do it correctly. Another person goes missing but this time it is none other than You Huo himself. They go on a search hunt in the middle of the forest to rescue him. As it turns out, he is buried underground in a coffin. But no worries, someone will find him and come to his rescue. However unlikely that saviour might be.

We get more interaction between the main leads this time. Their bantering is always fun to read especially because it lights up the otherwise gloomy, creepy atmosphere. It turns out that not only You Huo but Qin Jiu is good at pissing off the system and taking advantage of its loopholes as well.

The examinees find out more information about the residents of the villages and even about previous examinees taking the same exam as they're taking now.

I was just thinking how badass Qin Jiu looks when he appears in his black coat amidst the flames when You Huo had a similar thought:

"...Is this what he's truly like? Unexpectedly, it's a fantastic sight to behold." But he immediately changes his mind after Qin Jiu's usual bantering: "A fantastic sight, my ass."XD

This is the first time Qin Jiu visibly dislikes the system and the way it works and his sadness and anger towards the outcome and the victims of these exams. Perhaps this is why helps destroy the examination centre which eventually results in the termination of the current exam and his punishment. But there's still a long way to go until it truly ends.
