⭐️This is a book that contains twenty fictional speeches from twenty prominent women from antiquity. The speeches might be fictional but they reveal real stories behind historical events and convey thoughts on a variety of subjects. It is up to the readers to judge the effectiveness of their speeches, which is such a unique experience that I have never experienced before.

⭐️This book was first published in 1642 in French. 300 years later, it is such a fortune for us to be able to read it in English 🙏

⭐️Some speeches really touched my heart and left deep impressions on me. There is Mariamne, who pleaded in front of her husband regarding his false accusation before her execution in 29 BC; Panthea, who showed her greatest gratitude towards Cyrus after being captured during the Assyrian war but was treated with great courtesy; Amalasonta, an Ostrogothic queen, who argued against the new king after crowning him and getting exiled by him immediately; Livia, a Roman empress, who gave an impress speech on the greatness of literature.

⭐️Thanks to this book, I get to know the influence of those forgotten women and their wisdom, compassion, loyalty and bravery. In each chapter, the author provides critical context and aftermath to help readers understand the speech better. I was stunned by this amazing work and learned so much from this book!
