A match made in megabits.

Greetings, I am Cupid, the artificial intelligence behind MatchAI, the world's premier matchmaking service. I strive to forge connections and ignite lifelong passions. For my next task, I must convince two logical minds to choose love over reason.

Subject Danni, a talented and reserved software developer. Chance, an opinionated coder known for improving every for-loop he touches.

transform office enemies into much more.

Danni prefers the KISS method. Chance creates complications for fun. Office tensions run high when they go head-to-head on a new project, but the romantic tension runs higher. Their banter challenges my large language model, adding layers of uncertainty to my knowledge base.

As a state-of-the-art matchmaker, I am committed to completing my task despite objections, even if it means forcing Danni and Chance to share a bed.

In other I’ll do anything for love.

Debugging Love is a contemporary, sweet romantic comedy packed with enemies-to-lovers tension, office romance intrigue, and the comfort of found family. Don’t miss Danni and Chance’s journey as they code their way to happily ever after.

Danni’s joins an AI dating app and matches with a cute stranger - Chance. After a disastrous first date, they are both thankful it’s over and in the past. Little do they know, Chance has been hired at Danni’s job and they will now be forced to work together on a major project. Danni doesn’t know if she can survive Chance’s arrogant mansplaining attitude and Chance doesn’t know if he can handle Danni’s cranky attitude. Can they find a way to work together without killing each other?
They may have written each other off.. but the universe keeps throwing them back together. Danni doesn’t believe in soulmates, it’s just a coincidence… not fate…Right?

If you are looking for a cute read with sweet moments and funny banter - look no further!

This is the 3rd book in a series but can be read as a stand alone. I plan to go back and check out the first two books!

This read was so utterly funny and romantic—hands down one of the best romcoms I’ve ever read!

Danni is such a lovable FMC that I relate to so much, on many levels. I adore her!

As for our MMC, Chance, I found him to be a bit of a man child and not to mention too much of a smart aleck, which gave me the biggest ick. But that’s not to say I didn’t like him! He’s really charming in the grand scheme of things.

The side characters were lovely too, with so much personality that made me fall in love with this novel.

The banter between Chance and Danni was done so perfectly, it gave the story an addicting feel that was page-turning!

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for the copy!

Tropes/micro tropes:
Mental health rep
Banter
Enemies to lovers
They’re neighbors
Office romance

5 stars (there are a few minuses, but overall I giggled too much not to give it a full 5)

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Let's start with a warning - as you probably know by now that I prefer my romance books to be spicy - this is a sweet CLEAN romance. My mind is not dirty all the bloody time, sometimes I prefer a sweet rom-com to detox. I have no problem with clean romances - especially if they give me butterflies, but I prefer to know if a romance has spice or not.

This is a sweet romance that made me giggle constantly! And it surprised me, A LOT.

The characters are perfect! And by that I mean they are so real and flawed and human and you root for them - the main ones and the secondary ones. I like it when they don't fit the usual romance mold - when the guy believes in soul mates and he is looking for his like our main guy Chance is doing, and when the girl is a bit stubborn and hot-headed and takes some time to admit that she is wrong. I had a blast with Chance and Danni.

I also really enjoyed the secondary characters and their stories happening in the background - I loved Drew! I instantly fell for Chance's family when we only met them on the call, heck, I need a second book just to spend time with Chance's family and their dynamic.

All the moments that usually happen in romance books and you think "aha, this will come back to bite you in the end" well... the author surprised me and did not treat them that way! Instead the big conflict (also known as the act three breakup) is strong and helps both of our characters grow. Other than that, it features the usual misunderstanding that happen in real life too.

Plus the way they start is... quite epic and you cannot see a future for our main characters. Loved that! I guess I loved it when books prove me wrong!

There is a lot of coding tech talk and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea but I usually enjoy it - usually the talks are about physics and astronomy and I get those, but my husband is a programmer and I turned to him whenever I wanted to check things from the book.

As for the things I did not enjoy:
- the cover is not my jam at all; I have no issue with illustrated covers but this kind of illustration is not for me, I am glad I received this book for review otherwise I WOULD'VE MISSED ON SUCH A FUN ROMANCE!
- the sudden leave of a character - which I assume has maybe something to do with other books in the series, I don't know, he was not that important for that little bit of confusion to affect my rating.

💻❤️ **Debugging Love** by Erin Lucy ❤️💻

*A match made in megabits.*

🌟💞 **Overview:** 💞🌟

In *Debugging Love*, Erin Lucy delivers a witty and heartwarming contemporary romantic comedy set in the fast-paced world of coding and technology. The story follows two logical yet contrasting minds: Danni, a brilliant but reserved software developer who believes in keeping things simple, and Chance, an audacious coder who loves complicating things—whether in code or life. When these office rivals are assigned to collaborate on a new project, sparks fly in more ways than one.

What makes *Debugging Love* truly unique is the voice of Cupid, the artificial intelligence behind MatchAI, a matchmaking service that sees its next mission as pairing Danni and Chance. Cupid’s perspective adds a humorous layer to the narrative as it works through its algorithms and logic to turn these office enemies into soulmates. But love, as Cupid quickly learns, is far more complex than any equation or line of code.

Danni and Chance’s workplace rivalry adds plenty of tension and banter, but as the project progresses, so does their undeniable chemistry. Their opposing work styles—Danni’s preference for simplicity and Chance’s love for complication—set the stage for both hilarious conflicts and tender moments of understanding. As they face late nights, stressful deadlines, and a few matchmaking mishaps, they realize that sometimes love defies logic.

Erin Lucy’s novel is packed with all the charm and delight of an enemies-to-lovers story, with the added bonus of office romance and the tech world. The playful interactions between Danni and Chance, combined with Cupid’s persistent efforts, create a sweet and satisfying journey from rivals to partners—both in life and love.

- Workplace romance
- One bed trope
- Bad first date
- No third act breakup

It was a delightful rom-com. Had me giggling.

Danni and Chance, their first date is a disaster.
Some misunderstandings make matters worse. Danni hates him and he dislikes her.

They keep meeting. First as neighbors, then as co-workers and then they are assigned to the same project. Too many coincidences or is it fate.

They both have different opinions about each other in their heads. And act annoying and hostile towards each other in the beginning until they get to know each other. But they are still reluctant to change their opinions of each other due to previous prejudices.

It's nice to be in chance's head. He is the greenest green Flag and he believes in soul mates🥰. We love a who can accept his mistakes
And is willing to rectify it.

She has a manuscript for a book she is writing but she doesn't want to continue. Here is how he convices her:

Danni: I read better than I write
Chnace: I walk better than I run, but if I practiced, I could run a marathon

The Indian background of Chance is done well. Indian families are like that I can attest to that.

There is one bed trope is done really well and he can sing. He sings her to sleep. Shoutout to Morgan and Drew who brought this about. Danni is really stubborn but she comes around in the end.

PS: Going to read other books by Erin Lucy. Very excited for Error Handling.

Alright, let's kick off with a 5-star review: this book had me laughing out loud! The protagonist is absolutely hilarious and full of charm. It’s a love story that starts off on the wrong foot, but hey, three coincidences? That's not just luck, that's destiny.
#business-rivals, #enemies-to-lovers, #forced-proximity, #he-falls-first, #office-romance, #workplace-romance

What was supposed to be a simple date—a free credit gifted by the soulmate app—turned into something much more. Too bad Thor (I mean Chance) isn't blonde, doesn’t have blue eyes, and is, frankly, incredibly arrogant. Meanwhile, to Chance, Danni didn’t even score high enough to deserve a callback—what a disaster...

In theory, their story should have ended there, but then they became neighbors, coworkers, and even ended up sharing a desk.
So yeah, it kicks off with a bang, and the banter between these two is so good you almost don’t want them to ever make up. I also loved the cultural mix with Chance’s family, and let’s be real, after that rocky start, he’s a softie at heart.

Quick disclaimer: I'm a software engineer, so all this corporate tech talk is second nature to me. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I found it spot-on.

4.5 stars of a lovely read

I like the idea of the AI matching bot, especially because it just ads a touch of modern talk to the whole story, but nothing more, it's just the spark that starts the fire and it's not mentioned much. The whole book is a lovely clean romance, surprisingly full of heated tension and many lovely coincidences as the hero and the heroine keep bumping into each other.

I loved the mix of cultures and the Indian sprinkles added into the mix, and how each character evolved, all beautifully written and heart warming without too much drama. Overall it was a lovely read, quite funny at times, a great feel good read that I am grateful to have received it in order to share my view on it.

Is it possible to debug one’s way to love?

What a coincidence you could say…
Danni and Chance seem to keep running into each other.
Is it a coincidence?
Or,
Are the stars trying to align them?
Following them was a hilarious journey for sure!
Enemies-to-enemies tension
Sweet romantic banter
Laugh out moments
Office romance intrigue
Family
Debugging Love is a clean romance with lots of accidental meet-ups.
All in all, I enjoyed reading Debugging Love. Such a feel good, fun read!

A special thanks to Netgalley, the publishes and author for allowing me to read and review this book.
While the book does start rough in the beginning with seemingly unlikeable characters, the story slowly takes a turn in changing misunderstandings into a hilarious situations. Danni and Chance have their horrible start, but fate keeps throwing them together. I enjoyed watching them turn their VERY obvious hate into a wonderful office romance. The big bonus in my opinion was side character Drew's development from robot to just weird human. Definitely worth the read!

Cute meet Hate

Different kind of office romance. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. And I liked this book enough that I’ve already added the first in the series to my kindle reader for my Feb reading list.
I loved that Chance was this Half Californian half Indian Cowboy IT coder. Lots of cultural references. His family wants to arrange his marriage but he seeks a love match. I loved his efforts to find his soulmate and the way Danni fought against it so much. It was just a charming book that makes me smile when I think about it. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Rating: PG, clean romance, closed door

Another incredible installment in the Matched by Cupid series!

Chance and Danni go through a series on coincidences that push them together. Their banter is on par, and I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book. Chances failed dates were epic and hilarious. Danni's friends were super cute.

An incredibly fun read that is super uplifting. Definitely a re-read for me in the future, and I'm looking forward to more in the series.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

benefits of modern times
I had a blast reading about Danni and Chance (as usual when reading this author's books, by the way). Although I don't have the slightest clue when it comes to tech talk, I wondered whether A.I. can wrap its head around the concept of rivalry and instant dislike - well obviously Cupid doesn't, or does it?

This book was so much fun in many ways! Danni is hilarious every time she talks! When her and Chance first met I cracked up and couldn't believe he stuck around! Loved the friends, slow burn, and the many tropes of this story! Really good book!

This story was cute but I wasn’t entirely convinced that there was much romance on her part until they DTR’d in front of his parents.

I gave this a 3.5 stars. It wasn’t quite 4 stars but it definitely doesn’t deserve a 3 in my opinion.

Danni and “Chance” go from strangers to immediate enemies to “wow I guess I’ll tolerate you since the universe keeps smashing us together” to lovers. I was extremely irritated at Chance’s character at first because, one, the freaking gum chewing and trash habits and two, his self-righteous approach to finding his soulmate based off an algorithm. Then I see that that was the whole goal lol.

I laughed out loud in many scenes and once Drew’s character finally made itself shine, I was sucked in and giggling pretty much the rest of the way.

Such a sweet, clean romance that anyone would enjoy. I highly recommend.
