Informational opinion

This had a lot of information as well as opinion. Everyone's views are different, and I feel this book had facts.
There was nothing in this book that was slandering Trump based solely on opinion. When people say they dislike someone, it is based on opinion and not facts.
There was enough facts this author gave to support their opinion.

When I saw this book, I was immediately intrigued. The reality is that I’m an American who didn’t vote for Trump but was curious to see the step by step comparisons of Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

The read was interesting, seeing the comparisons was eye opening even though it’s become even more apparent that you can closely compare the two of them since he took office again.

An important thing to note about this book is that it was written leading up to the election as what seems to be an attempt to get Americans to open their eyes to the dangers of who they may be electing as President.

I am not willing or able to say that this book was written in a nonpartisan manner - the mere comparison to the current President to an infamous Dictator means that he isn’t nonpartisan. But he is honest and level headed as he discusses Trump’s life - including both his failures and achievements.

I must admit that I found myself wanting to hear the thoughts of the author on the current administration- including DOGE which is barely mentioned and Elon Musk’s role in the current administration as you have to remind yourself that this was released months prior to the election. In fact, the book was published in the same month that Kamala announced she was running. That being said, it can be a bit dated.

This book is an interesting read if you want to hear the beginnings of Donald Trump, a thorough review of his actions as 45th president, and a in depth analysis comparing the former Dictator and current President. That being said, I would like to hear the author’s thoughts on this term at the end of it all.

When I saw this book I was immediately intrigued and knew I wanted to read it. As a Canadian watching the news and paying attention over the last several years to everything happening in the states. I’ve always had a very strong visceral reaction to Trump - that he was a bad man - but I was eager to read a researched comparison of Hitler and Trump.

The book does a fantastic job comparing the two and listing side by side the way they are similar and different, and their different backgrounds and journeys to power. The author was biased at times, but despite that I felt the book was laid out in a very factual, in depth yet concise way.

I will say - I went into the book expecting more on what has happened in 2025, but it was clearly written prior to 2025, so be aware that it covers history and is written as more of a warning / guide. I’d be very intrigued to read a follow-up by Geir Sivertsen following Trump as president in 2025.

As someone who reads fantasy and fiction, this book is out of my preferred genre. I, however, decided to pick up this book on a whim. As someone who was too naive to understand / recognize the implications of Trump’s 2016 presidential run, I found this book full of extremely valuable information. Despite being infused with the author’s bias at times, there is a lot of factual information presented to the reader in an objective way. The comparisons to Hitler, while concerning, provoke a much needed (albeit too late) intellectual discussion on threats to democracy and what differentiates Trump from other presidents.

I really don’t like the title of this book, I’m really not in to politics but I do try to keep up with it a little. This book in my opinion has made trump out to be something he’s not but you can read it for yourself and make your own opinion.
