This book is part of a great series. I have really enjoyed reading it and happy to find this great author.

Oggi desidero parlarvi del quinto volume della serie Crescent Moon Ranch, firmato da Tess Thomson, un'autrice che in ogni sua pubblicazione, sa sempre come sorprendere e accarezzare il cuore delle sue lettrici, bilanciando la parte drammatica e ricca di suspense, con il valore e il peso dei buoni sentimenti e di quel calore familiare che riesce a diventare il vero protagonista di ogni sua storia. Unione, comunanza, sostegno, partecipazione, sono questi i valori riscontrabili nella realtà di Bluefern, un piccolo centro del Montana e a misura d’uomo, circondato dai verdi pascoli e dalle Montagne Rocciose. Un paese dove si conoscono tutti e nel quale la solidarietà è un sentimento condiviso, soprattutto dai componenti della famiglia Moore, che hanno fatto della fratellanza, dell’altruismo, della generosità e dell’aiuto reciproco, così come della giustizia e dell’istinto di protezione, il cardine attorno al quale ruotano le loro vite e il tratto distintivo dei loro rispettivi caratteri.
Mi sentivo piccola e femminile accanto alla sua presenza solida e confortante. Un’ancora nella tempesta. Un’ancora che avevo cercato fin dalla morte dei miei genitori.
“Grumpy Moon” racconta la storia d'amore tra Soren, uno dei fratelli più giovani della tribù dei Moon, il burbero e taciturno sexy cowboy, che si occupa dei cavalli del ranch. La controparte femminile è Finley, la bella, frizzante e loquace inglesina, dal passato tragico, da due anni responsabile dell’accoglienza, sotto le direttive di Thad. Li abbiamo già conosciuti nei volumi precedenti, figure che hanno affiancato i personaggi principali, in una serie di romanzi che possono essere definiti corali, in quanto le vite di ogni personaggio si mischiano tra loro, portando avanti un progetto comune, ovvero il ranch e il benessere della famiglia, senza dimenticare quello di tutti coloro che entrano a far parte della loro realtà.
Hai mai pensato che io sia quella normale e tu quello strano?» Lo guardai dritto negli occhi, pronta alla sfida.
Se Finley con il suo calore umano, la positività, l’estroversione, la disponibilità e la pazienza, occupa la posizione più adatta all’interno della struttura, anche Soren è l’uomo giusto nel posto giusto! E’ il mandriano di poche parole e dal grande cuore che sa occuparsi dei cavalli e del maneggio, come nessun altro! Ha la capacità di interagire con i suoi amici a quattro zampe, con estrema dolcezza, attenzione e delicatezza, cosa che invece non riesce a fare con le persone, con le quali sembra non avere feeling al punto da essere privo di tatto e sensibilità. La comunicazione non è proprio il suo forte, ed è impossibile creare un rapporto con lui, almeno per Finley, perché l’intrigante mandriano, non fa nulla per nascondere la sua avversione per una donna, fin troppo entusiasta e loquace per i suoi gusti! Senza contare le espressioni dubbiose e contrariate, compresi i continui borbottii con i quali si lamenta ed esprime il suo malcontento.
Lei mi guardò con i suoi occhioni e mugolò. «Non c’è motivo di sentirti nervosa, Miss Mabel. Lo hai già fatto, ricordi? So che andrà benissimo. E non vedo l’ora di conoscere il tuo nuovo piccolo.»
Il Crescent Moon Ranch, con le sue strutture e i suoi pascoli, è diventato il fulcro e l’ambientazione ideale per dare il giusto risalto a ogni storia, e anche questa volta è stato così. Negli anni si è trasformato in un complesso turistico, ricco di comfort e con le giuste attrattive, per regalare ai suoi ospiti soggiorni rilassanti nel paese dal grande cielo, a contatto con la natura e i cavalli. Ma se fosse possibile aggiungere altre attrazioni per richiamare turisti anche nei periodi di meno afflusso? Perchè non sfruttare una situazione che ha gettato nella desolazione il paese, per creare al ranch la Fiera di Natale in una versione ancora più ricca, grazie alle idee e alla creatività di Finley? Chi mai potrebbe essere in disaccordo, quando invece tutti sono favorevoli? Che domande!… Soltanto Mister Brontolo! E’ così che Finley ha soprannominato Soren, l’unico ad aver sollevato dei dubbi, convinto sia un’impresa impossibile. Per fortuna esiste Thad, che con il suo ottimismo (e la vista lunga), sa come spianare la strada per far combaciare i sentieri anche di chi sembra appartenere a pianeti opposti!
«Questa terra ce l’ho nel sangue, mi è familiare come il dorso della mia mano.» «Ti sei mai pentito di essere rimasto?» «Qui? Dio, no. Questo è il posto a cui appartengo.»
Soren è un trentenne, ma si comporta come un vecchio musone scorbutico, sempre pronto a provare fastidio per l'entusiasmo mostrato dalla frizzante receptionist, che in realtà, non fa nulla per contrastarlo, anzi! E’ così di natura, pertanto cerca di creare un rapporto anche con l’uomo che, al primo sguardo, è stato capace di rimescolare il suo cuore, anche se poi una volta aperto bocca, ha tramortito ogni farfalla che stava svolazzando nel suo stomaco! Sembra una guerra persa in partenza, ma Finley non si dà per vinta, perché per quanto trovi l’uomo insopportabile, lei è simpatica a tutti, dovrà esserlo anche per lui! Ma cosa si nasconde dietro alla volontà di voler vedere il bello ovunque e di essere ottimista e propositiva a tutti i costi?
Buon Dio. Questo piccolo raggio di sole sembrava essersi fatto strada nel mio cuore. Perché mi sentivo così bene quando ero con lei?
Nonostante il passato tragico, che l’ha segnata soprattutto negli affetti, la ragazza non vuole che le brutte esperienze, arrivino a definirla, tanto da farle perdere la fiducia nel prossimo e nella vita. Per questo motivo, esercita e alimenta quotidianamente, la bontà, l’ottimismo e la positività. Cosa cela invece Soren? Perchè mostra tanto malcontento e rancore, specialmente nei confronti della sorridente inglesina? In cuor suo, desidera lo stesso amore grande, che unisce i suoi genitori e i fratelli alle loro mogli, ma non si sente “abbastanza”, per poterlo ottenere. Esiste veramente una donna che accetterebbe di avere accanto un uomo che è un tutt'uno con la terra alla quale appartiene, così come lo è con i suoi animali? Sì, perchè Soren non può vivere lontano dal ranch, abituato alla fatica, alle lunghe e dure giornate di lavoro, che sono la sua realtà, l’unica che vuole e conosce. Un uomo dai gusti semplici, che ama le piccole cose e che parla soltanto quando ha qualcosa da dire. Lo stesso che sa amare profondamente e per sempre, anche se non sa dimostrarlo con dichiarazioni altisonanti, ma soltanto con piccoli e grandi gesti, che a loro modo sono straordinari, autentici e romantici.
Dietro il suo atteggiamento stoico, percepivo tristezza. Perché doveva essere triste? Mi chiesi, in modo poco caritatevole.
Il cowboy triste, sarà disposto ad accettare le diversità, tanto da accorgersi che proprio nelle differenze si cela la donna perfetta per lui, l’unica in grado di riempire i vuoti della solitudine e rendere reale un sogno? Ma ci sono degli ostacoli che rendono problematico il cammino della coppia, pronti a sporcare un assaggio di quella felicità, finalmente accarezzata. Sono incubi del passato che gettano ombre sul futuro, mentre la serenità da poco raggiunta da Finley, sembra avere i giorni contati. Proprio adesso che stava raccogliendo i frutti del lavoro fatto su se stessa! Quello che l'ha aiutata ad emergere dalla disperazione in cui era sprofondata, dopo un tradimento da parte di chi, non si sarebbe mai aspettata e che l'ha costretta a pagare per degli errori non suoi. Un romanzo pieno di alti e bassi, che si anima con la vita del ranch e con i tanti personaggi che si alternano per offrire un aiuto concreto per fare chiarezza nella situazione ingarbugliata in cui torna di nuovo a dibattersi Finley.
«Ho sempre voluto appartenere a qualche posto. E a qualcuno» disse lei piano. Volevo dire: Appartieni a questo posto. Appartieni a me. Non lo feci.
Un romanzo che mi è piaciuto, merito della storia, della sotto traccia stringente e dei personaggi centrati, senza dimenticare lo stile narrativo fresco e scorrevole, capace di trasmettere l’intensità degli eventi, che mi hanno regalato momenti emozionanti. Rispetto agli altri volumi però, l’ho trovato un po’ breve. Forse perché avevo tante aspettative riguardo Soren, un personaggio che mi ha affascinata e incuriosita già dai primi romanzi, così diverso da tutti gli altri Moore. Mi sarebbe piaciuto leggere qualcosa in più riguardo le sue complessità caratteriali, perché di fatto sono state appena accennate, così come episodi della sua vita da mandriano, o collegati al passato, magari in compagnia di Jasper, il padre adottivo, come è successo per gli altri fratelli. Mi sono sentita anche un po’ "orfana" dei preparativi della festa al ranch e degli altri percorsi messi in moto all’inizio. Invece, ho trovato “Grumpy Moon” il più frizzante a livello di attrazione tra i due, attraverso le atmosfere che sanno creare le giuste attese, in quanto è un romanzo adatto a tutti, privo di scene ardenti o esplicite. La traduzione impeccabile di Isabella Nanni, ancora una volta, si è rivelata esemplare, anche per questa ennesima bellissima storia.
«Siete la mia gente» disse Finley. «La famiglia che stavo cercando.» Sorrisi tra me e me, oltremodo compiaciuto di sentire le sue dolci parole. Fu allora che capii. Avrei sposato questa donna.
Una lettura che consiglio a tutti coloro che amano le ambientazioni suggestive del Montana e i romanzi country, per scoprire le vite e i caratteri dei cinque fratelli e della famiglia Moore al gran completo, impegnata a gestire il ranch e a sventare minacce che rischiano di mettere a repentaglio la loro realtà e serenità, mentre nel frattempo gli amori nascono e si evolvono, regalando tante emozioni a ogni volume! L’unico fratello ancora scapolo, è il terzogenito Rafferty, che dopo aver conseguito la laurea in medicina, ha aperto il suo studio in città. Tra lui e Arabella, la veterinaria amica di famiglia, è guerra aperta da sempre! Ma ora è arrivato il momento di scoprire tutti gli altarini e cosa si nasconde dietro a questa antipatia reciproca, perché saranno proprio loro i protagonisti dell'ultimo capitolo! E io li aspetto al varco! Buona lettura e alla prossima!

Quello che l'ha aiutata ad emergere dalla disperazione in cui era sprofondata, dopo un tradimento da parte di chi, non si sarebbe mai aspettata e che l'ha costretta a pagare per degli errori non suoi. Un romanzo pieno di alti e bassi, che si anima con la vita del ranch e con i tanti personaggi che si alternano per offrire un aiuto concreto per fare chiarezza nella situazione ingarbugliata in cui torna di nuovo a dibattersi Finley.
«Ho sempre voluto appartenere a qualche posto. E a qualcuno» disse lei piano. Volevo dire: Appartieni a questo posto. Appartieni a me. Non lo feci.
Un romanzo che mi è piaciuto, merito della storia, della sotto traccia stringente e dei personaggi centrati, senza dimenticare lo stile narrativo fresco e scorrevole, capace di trasmettere l’intensità degli eventi, che mi hanno regalato momenti emozionanti. Rispetto agli altri volumi però, l’ho trovato un po’ breve. Forse perché avevo tante aspettative riguardo Soren, un personaggio che mi ha affascinata e incuriosita già dai primi romanzi, così diverso da tutti gli altri Moore. Mi sarebbe piaciuto leggere qualcosa in più riguardo le sue complessità caratteriali, perché di fatto sono state appena accennate, così come episodi della sua vita da mandriano, o collegati al passato, magari in compagnia di Jasper, il padre adottivo, come è successo per gli altri fratelli. Mi sono sentita anche un po’ "orfana" dei preparativi della festa al ranch e degli altri percorsi messi in moto all’inizio. Invece, ho trovato “Grumpy Moon” il più frizzante a livello di attrazione tra i due, attraverso le atmosfere che sanno creare le giuste attese, in quanto è un romanzo adatto a tutti, privo di scene ardenti o esplicite. La traduzione impeccabile di Isabella Nanni, ancora una volta, si è rivelata esemplare, anche per questa ennesima bellissima storia.
«Siete la mia gente» disse Finley. «La famiglia che stavo cercando.» Sorrisi tra me e me, oltremodo compiaciuto di sentire le sue dolci parole. Fu allora che capii. Avrei sposato questa donna.
Una lettura che consiglio a tutti coloro che amano le ambientazioni suggestive del Montana e i romanzi country, per scoprire le vite e i caratteri dei cinque fratelli e della famiglia Moore al gran completo, impegnata a gestire il ranch e a sventare minacce che rischiano di mettere a repentaglio la loro realtà e serenità, mentre nel frattempo gli amori nascono e si evolvono, regalando tante emozioni a ogni volume! L’unico fratello ancora scapolo, è il terzogenito Rafferty, che dopo aver conseguito la laurea in medicina, ha aperto il suo studio in città. Tra lui e Arabella, la veterinaria amica di famiglia, è guerra aperta da sempre! Ma ora è arrivato il momento di scoprire tutti gli altarini e cosa si nasconde dietro a questa antipatia reciproca, perché saranno proprio loro i protagonisti dell'ultimo capitolo! When I started to read Grumpy Moon I was thrilled to be back on Crescent Moon Ranch, but also a little sad because we’re running out of Moon brothers. After this we’ve only got Rafferty left. We’ve already seen Atticus, Caspian and Thad find their happy-ever-afters. And honestly, it all started with Stella and her blessed luck in finding her soulmate Jasper Moon – “Pop” to all of the boys. They demonstrated love and trust and faith and the importance of family each and every day. Crescent Moon Ranch became a place of joy and happiness and beauty.
But let’s get to Soren and Finley’s story. The ranch became a place of refuge and safety for Annie, Elliot and Sammie. And for Finley. Her year in prison in England, falsely accused and convicted of a crime her twin sister committed, was the worst time of her life. But honestly, her sister always created chaos and spread unhappiness, and Finley never felt seen or appreciated; her parents were always dealing with some trouble Danielle was in, and their belated assurances that they just never had to worry about Finley weren’t enough to make up for the loneliness. A lawyer works for her release, and she realizes she has no life or future in England and moves to America, settling in Bluefern working at the ranch resort for Thad. She hasn’t heard from her sister and doesn’t expect to. And that is fine with her. And she has decided that there is no room in her life for any more negativity: she will look for the silver lining and something to be thankful for in every situation. So that means if you’re looking for complete opposites, look no further than Finley and Soren.

Quando ho iniziato a leggere Grumpy Moon ero entusiasta di tornare al Crescent Moon Ranch, ma anche molto triste perché stiamo per finire i fratelli Moon e non sono pronta a lasciare questa serie meravigliosa.
Dopo questo libro ci rimane solo Rafferty.
Abbiamo già visto Atticus, Caspian e Thad trovare la loro felicità. Tutto è iniziato con Stella e la sua fortuna nel trovare la sua anima gemella, Jasper Moon.
Stella e Jasper hanno mostrato ai ragazzi ogni giorno l'amore, la fiducia, la fede e l'importanza della famiglia. Il Crescent Moon Ranch negli anni è diventato un luogo di gioia, felicità e bellezza.
Ma veniamo alla storia di Soren e Finley. Il ranch è diventato un luogo di rifugio e sicurezza per Annie, Elliot, Sammie e per Finley.
Finley ha dovuto passare un anno in carcere. Accusata e condannata ingiustamente per un crimine commesso dalla sorella gemella. Grazie a un avvocato che si adopera per il suo rilascio lei si rende conto di non avere una vita o un futuro in Inghilterra e si trasferisce in America, stabilendosi a Bluefern e lavorando al ranch di Thad.
Finley ha deciso che nella sua vita non c'è più spazio per la negatività: cercherà il lato positivo e qualcosa per cui essere grata in ogni situazione.
Quindi, se siete alla ricerca di due persone completamente diverse state cercando sicuramente Finley e Soren.
Tutti i fratelli Moon lavorano sodo, si impegnano, sono leali e premurosi, e sono di una bellezza disarmante. Soren però, è quello scontroso. Non ha mai lasciato il Crescent Moon Ranch e non intende farlo. Il lavoro è la sua vita, non rimpiange di non essere andato al college come i suoi fratelli. Non si è mai sentito a suo agio a scuola, ma è fiducioso e sicuro nella gestione del ranch. Ama gli animali e la terra. L'unico problema nella sua vita sembra essere Finley, sempre sorridente e felice.
Si sa, la vita è strana a volte e Soren finisce per affittare una stanza nella fattoria a Finley. I due iniziano a conoscersi meglio.
Soren, Finley e Cane entrano in una routine confortevole e quelle piccole scintille che probabilmente hanno sempre sentito iniziano a sembrare un principio di incendio.
L'incubo e le paure di Finley si ripresenteranno? O la famiglia che ha trovato è molto più preziosa di quella in cui è nata?
Come ho già detto amo ogni libro della Thompson più del precedente.
Sono sempre stata attratta dal personaggio di Soren e la sua storia non mi ha affatto delusa.
Col ranch in versione natalizia a farci da sfondo Soren e Finley vi faranno battere il cuore, promesso.
L'autrice riesce sempre a tenermi incollata alle pagine con la sua scrittura scorrevole e lineare.
Ogni personaggio è perfettamente costruito. Amo tutti i cameo degli altri fratelli e vederli felici con le loro metà mi riempie il cuore d'amore.

Una storia che dimostra che bisogna prendere del tempo per conoscere chi ci sta vicino, la prima impressione non è sempre quella corretta.
📖 Avevo torto su di lui. Torto marcio.
Spesso quello che vediamo fuori è per nascondere qualche insicurezza che abbiamo dentro. Solo scavando troviamo i tesori nascosti.

Volume 5 di una serie gia avviata, probabilmente nei precedenti volumi alcuni protagonisti hanno avuto la loro presentazione ed in questo non vengono giustamente approfonditi. Tutto sommato si legge comunque facilmente (letto in un giorno). Motivo in più per recuperare i precedenti.
♀️Finley una giovane donna sola. Ha perso i genitori e ha trascorso un anno in prigione, ingiustamente dato che il crimine era stato effettuato dalla sua gemella. Si trasferisce dall'Inghilterra al Montana dove lavora in un ranch a conduzione familiare. Una di noi " Booklover"

Ma la loro pace e tranquillità sarà interrotta quando il passato di Finley busserá alla sua porta.
Resisterà il loro nuovo rapporto?
Soren riuscirà a non spegnere la scintilla di speranza in Finley?

Eccoci ritornati al Crescent Moon Ranch per scoprire che cosa il destino ha in serbo per Soren. Si potrebbe dire che Soren sia l’uomo che sussurra agli animali, che sa come stare in compagnia di cavalli e cani, ma che ha qualche problema quando deve interagire con le persone. È di poche parole, sembra burbero e disinteressato, ma, come i suoi fratelli, ha un cuore d’oro. I fratelli Moon hanno imparato cosa significa ripartire da niente, cosa voglia dire avere un’opportunità per rinascere. Ci sono passati quando erano bambini e Jasper Moon era diventato il loro papà e gli aveva donato una possibilità di felicità. Sembra che abbiano ereditato questo potere e anche loro riescano a donare seconde opportunità a chi ne ha bisogno perché vittima innocente del fato dispettoso.

In Stella, Jasper e i loro figli ha trovato una famiglia amorevole e accogliente che la fa sentire meno sola, che le fa capire cosa significhi essere amata. La vicinanza con Soren è una sorpresa destinata a sfociare in nuovi sogni.

Soren è sempre rimasto se stesso nella sua integrità e naturalezza, non ha mai cercato di impressionare Finley o si è voluto mostrare diverso. Nella sua semplicità ha lasciato che lei si abituasse, che trovasse naturale fidarsi e affidarsi.
E ora manca solo Rafferty… chissà se alla fine capitolerà con Arabella?

Questo nuovo volume dei fratelli Moon è dedicato a Soren, il vero fratello cowboy al cento per
cento, silenzioso e lavoratore, che ama i suoi cavalli e il ranch e la sua vita in Montana.
E proprio a Soren si affianca la storia di Finley, la giovane donna intravista anche nei volumi
precedenti, arrivata al ranch per un lavoro, ma che abbiamo percepito nasconda altro.
La sua è stata infatti una vita dura, con una parte anche passata ingiustamente in prigione, ma
soprattutto una vita dove il suo ottimismo, la sua speranza e la sua voglia di vivere sono state
quasi azzerate.
Sì, quasi perchè è proprio al Moon Ranch Finley sta ricostruendo se stessa, in quella famiglia
allargata che l’ha accolta senza chiedere, che le ha dato anche nuove amiche, e dove solo
Soren la prende in giro o le riserva spesso silenzi.
Due caratteri diversissimi, dove al silenzio di lui si contrappongo le parole di lei: l’improvvisa
condivisione di un progetto di lavoro sul ranch li porterà a passare molto più tempo insieme:
Soren capirà che, nonostante tutto quello che ha passato, Finley non è una donna rancorosa, e
la sua personalità, così vivace, nasconde una grande forza d’animo.
«C’era qualcosa in questa donna che mi toccava l’anima. Era pure bontà e luce.»
Non c’è un colpo di fulmine, ma un sentimento che nasce tra loro proprio sulla base della

cento, silenzioso e lavoratore, che ama i suoi cavalli e il ranch e la sua vita in Montana.
E proprio a Soren si affianca la storia di Finley, la giovane donna intravista anche nei volumi
precedenti, arrivata al ranch per un lavoro, ma che abbiamo percepito nasconda altro.
La sua è stata infatti una vita dura, con una parte anche passata ingiustamente in prigione, ma
soprattutto una vita dove il suo ottimismo, la sua speranza e la sua voglia di vivere sono state
quasi azzerate.
Sì, quasi perchè è proprio al Moon Ranch Finley sta ricostruendo se stessa, in quella famiglia
allargata che l’ha accolta senza chiedere, che le ha dato anche nuove amiche, e dove solo
Soren la prende in giro o le riserva spesso silenzi.
Due caratteri diversissimi, dove al silenzio di lui si contrappongo le parole di lei: l’improvvisa
condivisione di un progetto di lavoro sul ranch li porterà a passare molto più tempo insieme:

Finley, dopo il tradimento della sua gemella, decide di lasciare l'Inghilterra per trasferirsi in America.
Giungerà nel Montana dove troverà lavoro in un ranch di famiglia, precisamente in quello della famiglia Moon.
Al ranch Finley viene ben accolta da tutta la famiglia, che nonostante il suo passato turbolento solo uno dei fratelli Moon non sembra accettarla. Soren la guarda sempre con disapprovazione, ma tutti sanno che lui ha un carattere scorbutico ed arrogante.
Finley è consapevole che Soren non sopporta il suo essere solare. Inoltre, è infastidito dalla sua parlantina e dal suo ottimismo.
Insieme lavoreranno ad un grande progetto, che li avvicinerà prima come amici e poi come coinquilini, per poi darsi infine una possibilità che va bene oltre l'amicizia.

Siamo arrivati al quinto volume della serie, e come sempre Tess Thompson non mi delude mai. La sua scrittura riesce a trasmettere emozioni incredibili; non è mai noiosa e neanche scontata.
La lettura è scorrevole e le descrizioni sono sempre ben dettagliate, rendendo la storia coinvolgente.
Il Crescent Moon Ranch è diventato il luogo delle seconde possibilità, un rifugio per chi ha bisogno di cambiare completamente vita.
Tanti complimenti anche per la traduzione di Isabella Nanni.
Non vedo l'ora di leggere il sesto e ultimo volume della serie!

Soren and Finley's story is amazing! It's endearing, heartbreaking, and healing all in one.
I was worried I wouldn't get to see Soren get his HEA from the other books. He was always quiet and reserved, what some might refer to as standoffish, and I was worried he'd be destined to live alone. I'm beyond glad that I was wrong. Getting to watch the grump fall in love with Finley was almost like magic. He broke out of his self-imposed shell for her. He specifically went and got a book that they could both enjoy together (absolute perfection). He didn't run when her evil twin showed up (literally). Soren is an amazing MMC. I love his character and know that he has taken residence in my heart along with the rest of the Moon family (women included).
Finley is such an incredible character. She has every right to be hardened, gloomy, or mean. Instead, she's this perpetual ray of literal sunshine everywhere she goes. I want to be like her when I grow up minus the evil twin trying to ruin my life bit.

Soren Moon è un cowboy molto scontroso che si trova meglio con gli animali che con le persone. Infatti si occupa degli animali al Ranch Moon, che gestisce insieme ai fratelli.
Finley è una ragazza inglese che dopo mille disavventure ha deciso di ricominciare in America, e ha trovato lavoro al ranch della famiglia Moon in Colorado.
Soren e Finley non potrebbero essere più diversi: lei dalla parlantina sciolta e vivace, lui chiuso e burbero.
Ma forse gli opposti si attraggono, no?
Peccato che qualcuno voglia ancora regolare i conti con Finley compromettendo la sua occasione per essere finalmente felice.

La convivenza tra Soren e Finley fa emergere dei sentimenti inaspettati e credere ai due ragazzi che è giunto anche per loro il momento della felicità.
Ma Finley non ha ancora chiuso i conti col passato.
Forse questo è stato il libro che mi ha convinta meno. Soren passa da dire che non sopporta Finley a pensare che è la donna della sua vita. Anche tutta la storia della gemella e della pessima figura che ci fanno le forze dell'ordine non mi è piaciuta: ti dico che c'è la gemella e tu comunque condanni l'altra?

Tess Thompson has done it again. The Crescent Moon Ranch series is one of my favorite series and all of the characters have wonderful traits. In Grumpy Moon, Finley is little Miss Sunshine, a bubbly young lady from England who works as Guest Services at Crescent Moon Ranch for Thad, a Moon brother. Her personality is perfect for Guest Relations. She crosses horns with another brother Soren Moon, who is happier dealing with animals than people and just seems grumpy to Finley. When they are forced to work together on a Winter Wonderland project it’s like water and oil. Eventually it seems that opposites attract and Soren stands beside Finley when her evil twin shows up from her past and starts to make trouble. The Moon family is quite remarkable as the brothers all stand together. We have watched each brother find love and grow in this series and will see what becomes of Soren and Finley.
I received this copy as an ARC from Tess Thompson and all of these opinions are my own. It is wonderful to find an author who writes such intriguing stories that you just don’t want to put down. Kudos to you, Tess for another wonderful series!

If you have followed this series, you've seen the 5 Moon brothers as children, and watched three of the brothers find love. Even as a child Soren was the quietest and perhaps most intense of the boys, and that hasn't changed. He loves the ranch and his horses. He doesn't like people who need to talk all the time, and keep suggesting changes to the ranch. People like Finley, the Guest Services Manager, who has proposed that they hold the Town's Winter Festival on their property. Forced to work with her so he can protect the ranch's finances and resources from her wild ideas, Soren finds that there's more to Finley than he thought. This is a story about learning to see another point of view and being open to change. It’s also about finding balance between caring for others and taking care of yourself, as Finley is learning.
This is a HEA and a standalone, with no cliffhangers, but as the fifth in a series, there will be spoilers for readers who are new to the series. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion. Mama Moon, the series opener, is still my favorite, and I recommend that one along with Grumpy Moon.

Soren is one of the Moon brothers and is in charge of running the ranch itself. Finley helps out with guest relations and event planning for the guest ranch the family runs. Soren has always seen Finley as too bubbly and happy and talkative. He is not a talker. Finley sees Soren as a prickly man who doesn’t like her. Until she finds herself moving into the family home because the house where she rents a room is in serious need of repairs. Plus the two have been assigned the main planning of the Christmas festival that the town used to host. It is for them to host or there is no festival this year. There is also some problems that come up when Finley’s twin sister shows up. There are issues between them and Finley has trouble believing that her sister has changed. Suddenly, Soren realizes that he has feelings for this woman. He hadn’t thought he would ever have feelings for any woman. And Finley finds that Soren is much nicer than she had thought. Will these two work out their differences and find their future together. Another great story of the Moon family.

Soren and Finley are complete opposites but somehow fit together like they were meant to be together. I always enjoy watching the strong silent characters fall, because they usually fall fast and hard. They have known each other for awhile, but he found her annoying and she found him too grumpy. They were always pleasant but never thought they would find common ground.
I enjoyed them getting thrown together to work on the festival. It gave them a chance to talk and get to know each other better. Her background is truly horrible and her sister isn’t much better. He is starting to realize that he wants more and maybe he hasn’t given her a fair chance. Their relationship is slow, but impactful. History comes back to bite Finley, hopefully the Moon brothers can help her.

This is the first book I have read by Tessa Thompson but it certainly won’t be the last. After meeting ranch manager Soren Moon I need to meet to get to know the rest of the wonderful Moon Family. Grumpy Moon is the 5th book in the series but I’m prove that this book can read and loved as a standalone. If you love small town family romances look no further than this gem of a read.
Soren Moon is a quiet, broody man and Finley is Miss Sunshine and this is the perfect opposites attract love story. Finley came to Montana for a fresh start and working for the Moon family gave her exactly what she needed including a family and a romance she didn’t see coming.
I loved this book and I can’t wait to read the previous books in the series as well as the books yet to come. A great introduction to a very talented

Grumpy Moon is the 5th book in the Crescent Moon Ranch series by Tess Thompson, and it’s definitely another winner. This book oozes the grumpy sunshine trope so well, and I loved it!
This book is about Soren, the more grumpy of the Moon brothers. In previous books not much was revealed about him, so I really enjoyed getting to learn about his personality. Of course, where there is a grump, there must be a sunny person to offset them - that is found in Finley, the guest services representative for the ranch. They are such opposites that their interactions are really fun.
Grumpy Moon also has a lot not so happy things happen, the conflicts of story. There is a sad backstory, and something tragic happens in the book as well. The conflicts always add so much to a story, and that’s true in this case as well.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Tess Thompson torna e ci regala un nuovo romanzo collegato alla serie "Crescent Moon Ranch". Protagonista questa volta è Soren dal carattere scontroso e arrogante. Sulla sua strada incontrerà Finley, una giovane solare e sempre sorridente nonostante sulle sue spalle pesi un passato doloroso. Due caratteri opposti che si attraggono e si respingono dando vita ad una trama appassionante, intrigante e ricca di supense. Una storia, coinvolgente e ben strutturata che tratta temi importanti dedicati all’ambito famigliare. Ritornano sempre con piacere i personaggi conosciuti nei volumi precedenti le cui storie s’intrecciano abilmente con quella dei protagonisti. Stupende come sempre le ambientazioni che ci proiettano nella magica atmosfera del Montana. Lo stile narrativo è fluido e la lettura risulta scorrevole. Complimenti a Isabella Nanni per l’impeccabile traduzione.

What a lovely read this 5th book in the Crescent Moon Ranch series was! This is the story that puts forward Finley and Soren.
The book takes us back to the Crescent Moon Ranch, where we meet with the other family members. A dog that shows up, the past of Finley needing to be dealt with.
There is mystery and drama going on this time, putting a bit of pressure on the main characters in the book. The storytelling was excellent and as previous times the book was difficult to put down!
There are preparations going on for the holiday festive season, traditions to fulfill and projects waiting to happen.
This is the kind of book that makes you feel good having read it!

After a betrayal by her twin, Finley is lonely and vulnerable, and she moves for a fresh start in America working on a dude ranch. Soren prefers animals to humans, and he offers Finley a room to rent in his house, which she snaps up, and when Finley past come knocking, Soren offers his help.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, opposites attract, grumpy / sunshine, betrayal, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, redemption, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Opposites attract
Grumpy Moon invites us to join the amazing Moon family again for the fifth time and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent in their company.
This time the story focuses on Soren and Finley’s not so easy relationship. There’s no more different people than these two. Soren is grumpy, reserved and couldn’t care to speak less and Finley is a sunshine inside and out, so positively oriented and sees the best in everyone around, an absolute bubbly person.
Miss Thompson lets us get to know and understand Finley’s story deeper revealing the past events that led her to the Moon ranch.

This book can be read as a standalone but seriously you’re missing out because you will want to read all five books anyway. You’re going to love it as much as I do.
Grumpy Moon invites us to join the amazing Moon family again for the fifth time and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent in their company.
This time the story focuses on Soren and Finley’s not so easy relationship. There’s no more different people than these two. Soren is grumpy, reserved and couldn’t care to speak less and Finley is a sunshine inside and out, so positively oriented and sees the best in everyone around, an absolute bubbly person.
Miss Thompson lets us get to know and understand Finley’s story deeper revealing the past events that led her to the Moon ranch.

Finley ran away from her life after her sister let her go to jail for a crime she didn’t commit. Thankfully a sweet attorney believed she was innocent and after a year of being in prison, and getting beat up a few too many times, she was free to live her life again. Moving to Montana was supposed to be her fresh start.

Once again we return to Bluefern, Montana. I have loved meeting the five Moon brothers and their parents in the previous four books. They felt like old friends as I stepped inside the pages of Grumpy Moon. Crescent Moon Ranch feels like home to me. The Moons seem to attract and embrace people who need a place to call home, and Findley is one of those people. She is hired to work at the ranch in hospitality and her sunny personality makes her a favorite at the ranch except for Grumpy Soren Moon. This is Soren and Findley's story and trust me, it is filled with upheaval and tumultuous moments. Tess Thompson is a master storyteller, and Grumpy Moon is a perfect example of her magic pen weaving yet again a perfect story. I loved this story and look forward to #6 in the series.

Grumpy Moon, the fifth book in the Crescent Moon Ranch series, definitely did not disappoint! In earlier books, it was hinted that Finley had a secret past which is now revealed. Luckily, Finley has a support of the entire Moon clan while she struggles to understand her current life circumstances. While the romance between Soren and Finley seemed quickly rushed, the relationship is believable and together their love perseveres. It is not necessary to read books 1 thru 4 prior to reading this book but I highly recommend you to do so in order to fully understand the family dynamics behind the story. Another great book in this series. So far no information on the next book but there is another brother, the doctor, whose story hasn't been told. One can hope!

Gli eventi di questo romanzo riguardano lo scontroso e burbero Soren, e la dolce e sorridente Finley, che arriva al Ranch dei Moon da Londra per ricominciare una nuova vita, dopo aver scontato ingiustamente la pena di 1 anno di detenzione al posto della sua sorella gemella che l'ha incastrata.
La scrittura è, come per gli altri romanzi della saga, fresca e moderna, molto scorrevole e le descrizioni sono ben fatte: si percepisce la meraviglia del freddissimo inverno del Montana, con i magnifici colori delle decorazioni che adornano la Fiera del Natale che i fratelli Moon hanno deciso di tenere nel loro Ranch. Ma sono soprattutto le emozioni di rabbia, e pericolo, come quelle di sicurezza e amore ad essere palpabili durante la lettura. La trama è ben strutturata e tocca elementi familiari particolari che fanno empatizzare chi legge con la protagonista, e dove il ritmo degli avvenimenti drammatici invoglia a continuare la lettura, senza annoiare in alcun modo perché l'autrice è abile nel costruire situazioni intriganti e con una bella carica di suspence e azione condite da forti sentimenti. Inoltre, i personaggi, anche se già noti, continuano a mantenere la loro unicità nonostante il passare del tempo.
Una bellissima continuazione questo 5^ capitolo, assolutamente consigliato agli amanti del Romance. Attendo l'uscita del sesto volume!

I am so in love with the entire Moon family!! Grumpy Moon is the 5th book and quiet ranch manager Soren Moon is the hero. Yes, he’s grumpy….until you get to know him. His perfect “opposites attract” heroine is none other than Finley, their customer service manager & also Miss Sunshine. She came to Montana to start over, and ends up finding a family she never had. These two are perfect for each other in their own imperfect ways & Tess Thompson is the marvelous storyteller who pulls it all together. You can read this book without reading the others that came before…..but if you do, I think you’ll find yourself going for the whole series!

Grumpy Moon is a fabulous read. I loved this one so much. This is a grumpy sunshine read that you will not want to miss. I adore the Moon family. Soren is in charge of the animals on the family ranch. He is a little grumpy and protective. Finley works for the Moons and is filled with ideas. She is trying to start a new life since her sister set her up. You feel for Finley with everything her sister put her through. I love the banter and slow build between Soren and Finley.
