I enjoyed this book. The relationship is cute and Kate’s relationship with Ellie is adorable. I like the story but I’m not going to think about it that often. It was good entertainment but if you want plot then this may not be for you. I do recommend it.

This is another one of Audrey’s “An Enemies to Lovers Nanny Romance Series” that are thoroughly enjoyable reads. Kate is hired to look after Peter’s adorable and precocious four year old daughter Ella. Kate and Ella hit it off straight way, Peter and Kate are finding it very hard to control their physical attraction, but oh boy, when they finally succumb to each, the sparks do fly 🔥 When he asks her to be his “fake” fiancé to help cover some work issues, she readily agrees.

It does not take long before they fall in love with each other - they have fun as a family and with each other. With Ellie’s grandparents trying to get full custody of her, then someone trying to destroy his company that he built from the ground up and on top of that, someone is trying to destroy Kate’s reputation, can they survive all this. Will they be strong enough to survive everything that is going on?

This is a lovely book that will keep you hooked! It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, physical attraction and heat 🔥 I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story 💗 From page to page, chapter to chapter, you will enjoy this beautiful story - from cover to cover! This book will not disappoint! Highly recommended 😊

Peter gets a second chance at love

Peter hired Kate to be a nanny for his four year old daughter. His wife died three years ago.
Lacey, his former nanny, recommended Kate for the job.
Ellie and Kate hit it off from the beginning. Peter was also attracted to her.
She was loving and very attentive to Ellie. She adored her.
Things were going well until Peter took Kate to one of Ellie's friends' birthday party. Sarah and Zack are functioning drunks, and they create a scene. Sarah accuses Kate of having an affair with Zack. Kate has never met these people before. The situation gets worse, and Peter gets Kate out of the house.
It doesn't stop there. Someone is slamming Peter on social media and hurting his career as Ceo of his company. Plus, his ex-in-laws want custody of Ellie. They are also functioning drunks. Peter has done his best to keep Ellie away from them. They are persistent in taking Ellie away from Peter. To the point of taking her physically away.
Peter has them arrested because they are both unhinged and crazy. There is no way he is going to let them see her or take her away.
Peter has his hands full with fixing his image and to win Kate back from all this turmoil.
When Kate's Grandma gets sick, she flies home to be with her and her parents. She doesn't want to leave without talking to Peter, but she doesn't have much time. Her Grandma is dying. Lacey steps in to take care of Ellie. When her Grandma passed away, Kate was sad and devastated. She wished that Peter and Ellie were there. She wondered if he really cared about her.
They are both conflicted on how to approach the situation. They both love each other.
He surprise her by showing up at the cemetery and letting her know how much they missed her.
Great story of two people learning how to trust and love each other.

It Takes Two to Succeed -
Kate and Peter may have met for the first time because of Marshall’s antics, but they didn’t know at the time it was the beginning of their adventure together. However, Peter and Kate’s tension filled working relationship became complicated when they had to pretend to be in a relationship to mitigate a potential disastrous situation. Even though their relationship was meant to be on a pretend platonic basis, their attraction for each other led to them engaging in steamy sexual activities.

Unfortunately, their relationship ruse didn’t stop the catastrophic events from happening, which led to their relationship being continuously tested, as their professional and personal lives were being affected. Thankfully, the issue posing a threat to their happiness was resolved, but the effects on their relationship was still evident. Regrettably, there was an emergency in Kate’s family just before they could resolve the rift between them, but luckily, they got the opportunity to get back on track towards their happily ever after, where they received a miracle.

I was hooked on this sweet and emotional story, that broke my heart, but Audrey Robert did such a phenomenal job of piecing it back together, by the time I finished reading the book. I have no doubt you will love this story just as much as I did, so grab a copy now and indulge yourself for a few hours.

So far, this is a pretty good story. However, a few goofs in the story timeline confuse me a bit, simply because they don't make sense. For example, he put Ellie to bed after Lacey left. He goes downstairs, sits on the couch, and converses with his friend. Immediately after, in the middle of the night, after Ellie is in bed and Lacey has gone home, he calls out to Lacey, who is miraculously coming down the stairs with Ellie, to help him with something. The author either didn't catch these snippets, or the editor did a poor job.

As I said, the story is good, but the editing needs some work, back to reading now.

Now that I'm done reading, I can say that this was a pretty good story. It's longer than all the previous stories by this author that I've read, so there was more time to become invested in the outcome. The characters were great, the story unfolded nicely, and the ending was sweet.

There were a few things that irked me about it, though. First, I didn't like how, when they went on their mini vacay together, Kate kept saying everything was beautiful and magical, and all Peter could do was reply, " Yes, it is." It's like all his intelligence was left behind when they left their house. There was also the fact that it seemed at times that a conversation would repeat twice before moving on from it. It made it difficult to stay engaged with the story.

Other than that, I enjoyed it.

FAKING IT WITH THE DAMAGED SINGLE DAD by Audrey Robert is a romance filled with chemistry, heat, love, misunderstandings, mean-spiritedness, sadness, friends, family, an adorable four year old and more.

There are multiple stories being told and Kate, the new nanny, and Peter, her boss, tell the story in alternating chapters. There is a good flow to the story with a lot of details. There are a few unlikable characters but they add another dimension to the story. Peter and his daughter share a lot of heartwarming moments since he works a lot from home. The epilogue gave nice closure and a wonderfully satisfying happily ever after. But there seemed to be a few loose ends.

Ms. Robert is an author whose books I enjoy even if they are filled with more heat than I’m usually comfortable with.

I gave it 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars here and on other sites.

This book was well written and I truly enjoyed it. Though I would not consider it as an enemies to lovers romance, I really enjoyed the story of Kate and Peter as their relationship unfolded .

Their attraction is instant but how can it turn into something more and she is his new employee. Added to this is the fact that there is now someone is out to ruin him. Will this also have a huge impact on what is building between them?

SPOILER ALERT

The only flaws for me are a questions like how did Peter manage to become that wealthy so quickly when he was too poor to even pay for his wife's funeral and now owns his own jet.

Despite some minor issues with the story line, the book is a delightful read with well-developed characters and a satisfying ending.

Reality

Being told you can't have children, feeling there are other ways she can enjoy children was to be a nanny. Turns out she was a good nanny. She accepted an assignment where she took care of an interjected 4 year old. But the father was stand iffish towards her. When he realized he intimidated her and she was excellent with his daughter, he started to relax around her. Turns out, they enjoyed being around each other. But when they attended a party and a situation happened, things were being questioned.

I felt the age difference in this story or something was not clicking for me. How did the wife die, and what was the outcome of the couple who started the first incident that made them question their feelings. I did like the story talking about a disease that is affecting many in the US.

This book was absolutely great. It was a fast paced story, and it was filled with many complications, but amazing characters. Kate is Peter’s nanny for his young daughter Ellie. They both are extremely and immediately attracted to each other, but of course they fight it for a while, but then things get complicated when they give into the attraction and in the midst, Ellie’s grandparents start to come up with accusations against Peter to take her from him. Add in the drama of a married man hitting on Kate gone bad at a friends gathering, and this was the perfect story to read. I really enjoyed it.

They first meet when his dog gets loose and knocks her down. Sparks ignite right from the beginning for these two but when they learn that she is his daughter's new nanny they fight their feelings, but it doesn't take long for them to give in especially when he gets Kate to become his fake fiancé to help him keep his daughter. Will their fake relationship turn into the real deal especially when two pink lines come into the picture.

This was a great read.

I love when a grump turns out to actually be a marshmallow. That's what happens in this book.

Kate agrees to be a nanny for Peter's daughter Ellie. Peter is a grump.. right? Turns out he's just a bit... wary. He doesn't trust easily.

With these likable characters, we have forced proximity, rotten former in-laws, the looming threat of those in-laws taking Ellie, the catching of feelings on both sides, and a surprise pregnancy. Whew!

It's a great story with all the feels!.

This is an amazingly written book, interesting characters, amazing chemistry and very self-centered ex in-laws (or should I say outlaws!) This is Kate, Peter, and his 4-year-old daughter Ellie, oh, don't forget the dog!! They meet when his dog knocks her over. Imagine her surprise when she knocks on his door only to realize that she will be his nanny. Their attraction: off the charts! but she now works for him. Thus begins their story. So sit back and enjoy the ride!

Kate works for Peter as nanny to Ellie , they get along great and he’s in a bit of a bind so he asks if she’d act as his fiancée, fake of course and she agrees but it might end in misery …they’re having real feels but is it too late because someone got wind of their fake deal… brilliant story told succintly with brilliant characters and awesome writing from this fine author.

This is an entertaining story between a nanny and her boss with the added element of faking a relationship. The storyline is intriguing as the elements unfold and reveal the barriers they face. The characters are well written and have depth to their personalities. Their magnetic chemistry helps them deal with challenges. I enjoy this book. Highly recommend.

OMG this was another great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. The chemistry between them was sensation and the physical attraction was off the charts and they were falling in love with each other in a magic moment. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed.

This was a good read that has a lot going for it.
It has a well developed plot that had my attention.
Characters that have chemistry between them and
add a sweet little girl in the mix and you know you
are definitely on a winner.
The only reason for the four stars instead of five is
it didn’t seem quite believable at times.

Complications of the Heart

Kate meets Peter when his polar bear dog runs her down not realizing he’s the father of the girl she’ll be nanny for. Their attraction is immediate but how can it proceed? She works for him. And now someone is out to ruin him. Will this also ruin the love they now share?
