The only thing shielding me from the shadows...is the beast.
Fate has intertwined Dante's and my lives in ways I never imagined.
I've always lived under the shadow of my destined to end the war between my Fae kingdom of Aurelia and the human realm of Havern.
Trained to wield my luck as a weapon, I roam border villages, protecting them from the Fae beasts plaguing their people.
But when I become the hunted, captured by the infamous Grim, I'm forced into servitude.
Now imprisoned by my Fae captor, I'm closer than ever to the weapon I've trained my whole life to control.
Yet the prophecy holds another twist, and as fate tightens its grip, I find myself dangerously drawn to the one man who could either fulfill or thwart my destiny.
enemies to lovers - forced proximity - stalker - chosen one
4 stars Y'know what? Even though the plot hasn't been that consistent and the FMC's personality is sort of weak I can say I enjoyed this read. I wish this was longer and revised maybe even republished into a longer book cause the premise is there.
MMC was a standard shadow daddy, FMC was fun before she was kidnapped and suffered an identity transplant all of a sudden, i just wish she could stay the same and be more difficult instead of joining the other side immediately at the first given clue. There's not too much backstory given, not that many characters and it can get confusing because the story was crammed into a short read when it could be so much more!!! So my review and stars are basically encouraging and full of wishful thinking about this author to fix this series with the next book, maybe?
(Oh and the Stalker tag is definitely misleading since nobody was stalking anyone just sayin')
