He gave his loyalty to his club, she wanted his heart. Could they work out a deal?

Gizmo Martinez had long since dedicated his life to the Demented Souls and what the club meant. This was no life for a wife or family, and he knew it. But when her sweet charm pulls at something deep inside, can he walk away?

Jill wants something more than her work and video games. What she needs is something or someone to add some excitement. Maybe the tattooed man who ran into her, literally, in the grocery store is just the one to show her another side of life?

When club business comes between them, can Gizmo and Jill find away over the problem or will the cost be too steep?

I'm always on the look out for new MC authors so I gave this one a go. I liked Gizmo and Jill, they had good personalities and seemed interesting. But all the things that would have made the relationship exciting were never really explored. I didn't feel the attraction between them. That is because for most of the book, they weren't together at all. Even after they started dating all they mostly did was think about each other. The main focus seemed to strictly be on the MC and what they were doing. Long detailed conversations between the MC members took up the majority of the book. I have to confess to skimming most of that after halfway through the book. A lot of what was discussed, I felt could have done with some summarizing. What all the MC is involved in, beyond being deeply undercover, I wasn't entirely clear on. That could be just because I didn't start with the first book in the series. If you love the MC part being the the focus of the book, rather than the romance, you should give Melissa Stevens a shot.

GIZMO is the sixth book in the Demented Souls series. Each will stand alone as an MC romance centered on one member finding his ol’ lady.

Jill is perfect for Gizmo, since he is the Sargent at Tech for the club and she is a gamer. They have a lot in common, which is the start of a perfect relationship that smokes off the pages.

Great story; great characters; wonderful romance; light suspense.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

DNF 9%. The dialogue is so awkwardly written, they're like robots. Plus the rest is written like they're trying to hit a word count, like that meme about Kuzco's poison. It's really hard to read, it doesn't flow at all.

Gizmo
Demented Souls, Book 6
By: Melissa Stevens
Narrated by: D. C. Cole

Melissa Stevens never disappoints with the nicknames for her Demented Souls series. When I first saw Gizmo, I couldn't help but think gremlins, but when he turns out to be a tech genius, this nickname is well suited! Gizmo is the Sergeant of Tech for club and runs all things IT for the club. He literally bumps into Jill in a parking lot, and sparks fly. Jill is a bit of a nerd and a gamer and perfect for him. But Gizmo is not interested in a relationship and Jill is looking for her happily ever after. Will these two find a way to make it work? Stevens weaves a suspenseful story into their romance, and it keeps us guessing for a while. This MC is incredibly entertaining, with fun nicknames and I love getting to see the characters we previously met in the series. It makes us feel like we are part of the club! A great addition to the series, you will want to check it out.

DC Cole continues his narration of the series. I love his voice, and he always finds the perfect sound for each of his characters. He hones in on their personality and brings out their dispositions. This is one story teller that always has a wonderful listen and this one is no exception.

Let’s hear it for the Sarge of Tech for the Demented Souls MC...Gizmo!!! Most motorcycle clubs have a Sergeant at Arms, not so with the DSMC...this club is an anomaly, they have a Sergeant of Tech! They are actually a secret government unit who’s task is to crack down on drugs, gun smuggling and human trafficking. Each book in the series details the story of one member finding THE one...this is Gizmo’s story and it did not disappoint. Giz found the girl just right for him...a little bit if a nerd yet hot. Some action, some steam and broody, hot guys...with the funniest road names! Dumb@$$!! Yep, really! Great narration!

This book was very light on MC suspense and more like basic MC every day life. Gizmo doesn't think his life is suited for sustaining a relationship. Between his professional business and club responsibilities, he has too many secrets, takes too many risks and never has enough time. When he meets Jill, he suddenly finds himself wanting to make time and find a way to include her. Good character development and even though there wasn't a lot of drama, the story kept my interest. Gizmo and Jill were perfect together.

He begins to change his mind about his rule. Will she be able ti become a permanent part of his life and club or will it scare her away? Great story with great characters. I love Gizmo. What he works on is cool.
But he is more than a gadget man.
He does not believe in having a serious relationship because he is on the club his girlfriend could be pit in danger.
But when he literally bumps into Jill, he starts wondering if he could have a serious relationship.
The more he gets to know her, he is more willing to try.
But something happens and he is worried she will walk way from him.

Gizmo is the demented souls tech guy and hasen't dated much because of what their involed in until he ran right into jill at the store. Jill don't know what to make of gizmo but the more time they spend together the more she has feelings for him. Will he be able to keep his secrets and have a relationship with her?

I enjoyed this new "Demented Souls" story! It's a little bit longer than some of the stories in the series but just as interesting and intriguing. I like Gizmo and Jill' story! Lots of chemistry between the characters in the MC story. He meets Jill and everything changes. Good addition to the MC series with action, suspense, danger, passion, secrets and good twists.

A bit naughty with a whole bunch of heart!

I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose sleep because I couldn't wait another day to read it!

Jill and Gizmo!

Very enjoyable book, like how these two met,you don't fine that very much. There was action but mild compared to the biker books that I have read but I will read more by this author, this is just my opinion, so please read and form your own judgment,,! But it was great.

Mild and sweet

With most MC books, there is violence and steam. This story was mild and sweet. There is more going on with this MC. As this is book 6 and my first read, there was enough in the story to let you know what is going on. Nothing intense or any obvious triggers. I enjoyed the story. I think it may have needed another edit round.

so so

New author to me and although it’s an mc story it had such potential that I’m disappointed it didn’t pick up. Like Gizmo and every time I thought we were going to get into the story it just meandered along. As for Jill again I was waiting for a bigger impact rather than the tokenism of her being a girlfriend.

Gizmo Good

Really like this series, not violent or overly sexual, but well written with each storyline separate yet including the others also! Gizmo is sweet, tender & protective of Jill! Jill is no shrinking violet by any means but likes that Gizmo is as protective as he is sweet.

What a terrific read. Loved it. Jill was run down by someone in the supermarket. That was a gorgeous man called Gizmo. Yeah, strange name but it fit. Attraction. Motor bikes. Security. Danger. Undercover. Great story and looking forward to the next one.

A great plot that snacks you from beginning to end! The characters are awesome and so believable, you feel like you know them! A different spin on this MC that makes the characters come together as a family and their old ladies support them completely!

Another wonderful addition to this series i have loved them all and with this latest offering we get Gizmo's story Like all the Demented souls he has secrets ones that have to kept from everyone that isn't a brother of the club because this MC isn't what it appears to be They are undercover officers from many different agencies all working to break up illegal trafficking of drugs woman and forearms into the USA

Gizmo is the Tech Sergeant for the club and spends any spare time he has playing computer games He has fun at the expense of his brothers has they have fallen for women recently he believes that the job he is doing is to dangerous to bring a woman into The he crashes into Jill in the local supermarket and he has to eat his words Finally he has found the woman that he can't walk away from and she is perfect for him just as obsessed with video game as him When danger strikes he will have to rely on his brothers to keep her safe as they fight a battle getting ever closer.

This MC is not what it seems but Gizmo still doesn't think it's a place to raise a family and has given up on that. Then he runs into Jill and all bets are off. Their chemistry is explosive but there is danger and suspense and secrets. It was fun seeing them come to the realization of what they truly need.

This one has seems to read as a follow up to #5. There are several typos and at one point in the last chapter the author says the wrong name in print. The female character is Jill and she has Jenny. huh. Some of the sentences have the wrong words so they don't read right, you have to assume what you would say is what she means.
