This spine chilling book takes the reader into the realms of horror all the more believable because it seems reality not fantasy. The Imprints enter the soul of the narrator with determined power and describe each of their emotions in vivid detail. It is impossible not to be deeply involved, revolted and yet entranced at the same time as the linking of the personalities becomes apparent.Desperation, self destruction and fear are superimposed on the beauty of the rose with its blood red petals. Each bloom shows the astral image of the various characters as their lives have been lived, giving some hope for the future and the lessons offered to the soul as it evolves to enlightenment and bewitching knowledge.

Description:

Imprint follows Hercular Rose's journey through the past lives she has lived - her Soul Journal - in order for her to come to terms with her past(s), learn from them, and move on.

Review:

Having heard from other reviewers that Annie Frame's Imprint was a must-read, I knew that I had to get my hands on a copy - and I am very glad that I did! I have always believed that there are people in the world who are more attuned to the souls of the past and the future, so the idea of reincarnation has never bothered me - just interested me. The idea that a person could have past lives and actually recall them is amazing. I have heard of using hypnosis to bring thoughts and alternate consciousness' to the surface, but I have never read about the methods used by Rose's character. The book is very short, ~74 pages, but the way the words and emotional descriptions leap off the pages allows for an amazing visual journey through each life and its connections. That said, Imprint is only a mere taste of the reincarnation experience, unlike Frame's The Quiet Road which delves deeper into past existence. Detailed, well-developed, and realistic characters paired with a captivating plot will leave readers open to the possibility of clairvoyance and past lives. Highly recommended for all readers.

-> I also love the cover!

Rating: On the Run (4.5/5)

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Rose

Annie Frame, a British clairvoyant medium has studied the spiritual side of life for many years and is convinced that there most certainly is a world beyond what the poets call “this vale of tears”.

Annie first began her own journey by writing Imprint in 2006, after she felt inspired to begin work on it.

She has said “My work as a medium influences all I write and I doubt anything else could be a more interesting channel for me personally.” Not only is she an author and a clairvoyant, but she is also a Imara Reiki Master.

The first chapter of Imprint begins with a woman visiting the Library of Souls in an effort to locate a copy of her Soul Journal. Entering ones Soul Journal should not be taken lightly, due to the powerful effect of the journals themselves. If your intentions aren’t pure one could be sucked back into their journal forever.

Intriguing as this may sound…thankfully, this is not the path for this woman. Instead she comes to terms with her past incarnations by learning lessons in order to move on, and through this, it allows the reader to contemplate the very existence and plausibility of reincarnation itself.

However short this book was, a whopping 68 pages, it packs a spiritual punch that opens up ones mind to the possibilities life holds after we are ‘gone’.

The term ‘wow’ silently came to my lips as I read how each of the woman’s incarnations were actually connected. The ‘how’ is quite mind-blowing.

Due to the short length of the book, it is literally impossible to dive any deeper into the characters or the story without giving anything away. To do so would be unfair.

Smart was Frame, in writing the story as fiction as opposed to fact, for I feel that it might not have been taken seriously if placed in that genre of books. Instead, readers are left to their own devices in their thoughts about what transpires and if it is in fact truth. People rarely like being told how to think, and Imprint leaves this up to the reader.

I actually gave this book a 3 and 1/2 Star rating.

I was first attracted to this book because of it's cover. If you have read any of my other book reviews you can tell that, that is a must for me. The cover has to catch my attention otherwise I won't be too interested in starting the book. This book isn't very big at all, but in the pages you will open your mind to other possibilities that this author has given you. Imprint is a story that will take you on a journey of reincarnation. I for one do not believe in reincarnation, so therefore, I have my own beliefs in the afterlife. Still I opened my mind and I was impressed with how this book represents afterlife and how even after your lives end in the world your spiritual being can learn something from the imprints that you leave in the world through your living self. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. Having to do with the afterlife and such I was a little skeptical about reading it, but I'm glad I did. This book is worth buying especially if you are into the afterlife, paranormal or horror. I must admit that I would've liked for there to have been more to read.

Hercular Rose is at The Library of Souls in search of her Soul Journal to take her into her past lives on earth. In need to learn what past lives have to offer, following these imprints back with Hercular Rose you get to find out who and how her earth beings lived and died. Life on earth for Hercular was bitter sweet, but it all comes together to enable her to evolve in the Heaven she lives in. To understand and be shown how the lives intertwine and coincide is remarkable.

Want to buy Imprint........well don't wait!!! Go to http://www.amazon.com/Imprint-Annie-F...

I'd like to give a BIG THANKS to Annie Frame for sending me a copy of Imprint to review. I really enjoyed it and hope you keep writing books which make others open their minds.

Orchid’s Favorite Excerpt:
Joshua Glover was that man-very introverted and beaten down by an alcoholic father, he roamed the streets aimlessly. Bitter and angry, humiliated and shy, a traumatized soul, he was lost in the wilderness of life’s cruel offerings.
Sandrine’s Favorite Excerpt:
Rose turned to me and said “Try to let your sun shine, you never know when life darkens and you have reasons to endure misery”.
What we thought-
Orchid-
Open your mind and journey with Hercular Rose, as her soul visits the human shells she once inhabited. She is on a quest to discover what she has missed in her past lives.
I loved this book, the author writes very poetically. She has such a way with words that you don’t want to put down the book. That’s easy to do because this book is 73 pages with short chapters; it’s a cinch to finish.
Sandrine-
I agree with Orchid, I fell in love with her play on words, her writing is very captivating. This is a dark book, as Rose’s past lives have been lived in nothing but misery. The book opens your mind to the possibilities of life after death.

Having only recently read "The Quiet Road" by Annie Frame and thought it was a perfect piece of entertainment, I was very thrilled to begin Imprint. Imprint is the story of the occult where one soul has a journey through many incarnations that will present it with truth of her original earthly shell. To the exact beginning of its original of its creation. Very heavily emotional in a paranormal atmosphere that is a good read.
The soul mentioned in Imprint is that of one that has seen a lot of awful things but must see the beauty of the good in the world's existence. The style of writing welcomes the reader to escape to another world where you can believe this and not another thing has always been reality. Imprint ,for readers, who have read "The Quiet Road" will also see that Imprint delves into the same world so if your to-read it will add to your experience as a reader but isn't required since as a reader anyone could still enjoy as a standalone novel.
My favorite of Annie Frame's books will have to be "The Quiet Road" and Imprint comes second. Imprint is still a recommended occult-fiction read. In many ways, out of all the paranormal books I've read this is honestly an entertaining, different read.

Imprint delves in to the world of reincarnation. The narrator, Hercular Rose, enters in to the Library of Souls and takes a trip six former lives. She gains a piece of enlightenment with every page she turns in her soul journal. Will she gain the knowledge to make her whole and move on?

The first time I read a fiction book by a writer that is spiritual I wasn't impressed. I won't be saying the same for this one. Annie Frame is a clairvoyant medium, Amara Reiki master and holds teaching and psychology qualifications. Imprint doesn't overly preach at you. As a reader, you become enthralled with the character reliving her past lives.

However, there were a few drawbacks for me. The descriptions are a bit touch and go. In some areas, they're rather strong and others, the same word is repeated so much it becomes a turn off. There's a couple of hiccups in consistency character name wise. The main issue is with the length of the book. I don't recall often wanting a book to be longer than it was. Imprint is a rather quick read being under 100 pages, but I feel the book would have been just that much better if it was longer. The main character's experience reliving each drawn out more. As is, each chapter is more like a snapshot.

This isn't to say the book loses massive points in readability. Furthest from the truth. I put it down wanting more without a huge sense of disappointment, a good trait to possess for a debut novel.

This book is a truly enlightening read. I believed every word, for me this wasn't fiction.

Annie Frame has a real talent making things jump off the page, she has a way with words, that takes the reader on an enlightening journey that they won't soon forget.

The story follows a woman's quest through her soul journal. Each life she visits teaches her something she didn't know before. Each thing she learns fits together, so she can learn from her past lives and her soul can evolve.

Each life she has lived, and now visits are very different, they are all so very interesting and leave you glued to the pages. Each emotion is explained in so much detail you find yourself drawn into the emotional roller-coaster.

The ending of the story is truly beautiful and I am so glad I got to read this entrancing journey.

Annie Frame for me, never fails to deliver a truly amazing read, she is so insightful and her work reads so well, her books so believable that you won't want to put them down.

I cannot wait to see her new up and coming books.

Only one small thing for me, I wish the book was a little longer.

Once you pick this book up, you will not put it down. Not only will you read it in one sitting, but you won't be able to stop thinking about it. This is one of those books which makes you stop and think about what happens when you die. This to me seems possible and chilling at the same time. The cover alone will unnerve you.

The debut novel may be small, but it is powerful. The story is about how the soul evolves from life to another. This starts with Hercular Rose going through her past imprints in the library of souls, from an eight year old girl, to a mother, then a troubled man, to Hercular Rose and then bringing them all together. Some characters are hard to read about, but it makes the person who they are and you understand more about why people turn out to be the way they are.

If you like horror or are interested by the afterlife, this book is for you. It is a short, but powerful and will leave you wanting more.

'Imprint' is the story of Hercular Rose, a soul who has arrived at the Library of Souls and looking through the pages of her soul journal. In the journals are her past souls, or imprints and by looking at her past lives she must learn from her mistakes to move on.

'Imprint' is a definitely a book that gives you a lot to think about and should be read with an open mind, the book is an interesting read and I could relate it in some ways and it did answer some questions I had as someone who does believe in life after death.

An interesting and insightful read.

Annie delivers on creating a captivating story where the darkness that can overtake our souls can lead us to enlightenment and the evil that lurks within us all, can be transformed into something positive; only if we are willing to reflect on our past and learn from our mistakes.

I was given this book to review from the publisher and author. The premise sounded very interesting, but the execution left something to be desired. The over-all feel was a little too new-agey for my taste, but I did like the ideas behind the story.

A brilliant book and one which had a wonderful twist ... reincarnation (a fleeting moment of observing the past through the eyes of eternity) poetic and charming!
