I haven't read a KC Crowne book in a while, it was a great adventure back into the world. I generally don't like Mafia stories but this one had a little bit of mafia, but it wasn't the main focus. I love the story, how they met, the conflict, and the ending. I highly recommend this story. All the components of a good story was there.

When I started this book thankfully it wasn’t late at night or it would have been a late one. I couldn’t get through it fast enough. Loved the mystery and the little bit of dangerous excitement as well. The chemistry between Patrick and Allie sizzles right from the very start and continues through the entire book. Loved it!.

Allie and Patrick were electric throughout the book. Aside from his adult son they felt like equals and age didn’t seem to be an issue. They were flirtatious throughout and make you root for them throughout.

Asking for the mop was an A+ moment I chuckled at.

I definitely would recommend for those interested in cooking dynamics, it paints a very vivid scene.

This was a surprise 5 star book. I was expecting this to be the average auction/age gap romance. Yes, this trope was alive and well. Yes, it definitely had the ex's dad thing going on. But wow, did it all come together really well. The characters were awesome together. There wasn't a ton of tension as this was an insta love book, but the execution was on point.

We have inner conflict and relationship conflict, but the external main conflict was surprisingly well done. I initially was rolling my eyes at it, but then it kept going. I was like, "Okay. This is coming together really well." We had a lot of predictability in the trope aspect, but I was surprised with how the main conflict went. This was a well-reviewed story for a reason. Crowne stories can be hit or miss, but this one was an amazing hit. I'd recommend it, and I've been getting increasingly pickier and jaded with what I read. This was well-worth the time.

Sold To My Ex's Dad was truly remarkable story to read and was filled with plenty of intensity, emotion, angst, drama, sultry heat and action-packed moments, that had me on the edge of my seat. KC Crowne has a terrific ability to craft a story that is engrossing, engaging, and fun to read. Allie and Patrick are both dedicated to their professions, seeking innovation and perfection in the food they prepare. They also can't deny their growing attraction that is only increased by their mutual dedication to the culinary world. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun book to read. I can't wait to see what will be next for KC Crowne.

Cute

This was interesting, short and sweet.
I was surprised by the sudden Inclusion of mafia which gave it a touch of danger.
The initial idea of being bid on for charity and her desire to do so because she grew up in the system seemed fun. I felt the author could've expanded a bit more there I don't recall her ever telling Patrick she agreed to the auction due to being raised in the system.
The romance hit quick and took off mentioning they had sex in the restaurant a lot. Author doesn't show us moments in bed when they share past experiences, at no point do we know if Calebs mom died, they divorced or never were an item added Patrick never once is curious how long she was with his son or details.
Yes they shared the chef passions but I felt like it sounded like they worked all day, when everyone left the had sex ahs she went home because Caleb lived with him. No mention of one date or outting.
When Caleb walks in catching them it's been three months since they've been together it sounded like that's only the 2nd time she visited his place for an overnight.
They never explain to Caleb they met before he introduced them, nothing about the charity auction which would've made sense to him.
Normally romance has a climax after the couple falls, something tears them apart that never happened...we think his reaction to her pregnancy is going to be that but she forgives him in five minute so the story is a little flat romantically, if the mafia shoot out scene wasn't included
I wanted some fluff to read between my heavier mob romance and darker spicy books this wasn't all fluff.
Also the inclusion of very light bdsm bondage ans spanking seemed almost added for no reason, there were two short scenes but did nothing for the characters.
I would've liked to see him a tad more Dom, her expressing longing desires to try these things...It just felt oddly out of place.
Worth a read for fun, not my favorite but definitely a HEA, no cheating and an end two years later to wrap it up so that's a plus.

We start off with a charity auction and I'm always ready to see the adventure that involves a auction because it's so much fun seeing such wealthy men clash against each other, all for wanting the same thing.

So Allie meets Patrick through this auction date but actually right from the moment their eyes meet the first time, there's a awareness and just something that pulls them both towards each other.

What was supposed to be a auction date turns out to be the hottest one night stand of both their lives and definitely an unforgettable one for them.

Allie is a sous chef and looking out for a better opportunity when a wild one lands in her lap and turns out to be exactly what she's looking for.
But the same career changing opportunity brings her smack dab back to Patrick in the most surprising way.

I was intrigued how it was all going to play out what with Patrick being Allie's ex's father but you just can't stop when there's amazing and irresistible chemistry like these two have.

It was really fun, watching the hustle and bustle of restaurant life and getting to see the magic that chefs create through their foods.
Add in a conflict involving the mafia and also family drama and this one makes for one intriguing ride. ❤️❤️

Wow the fact this started out "for th kids" really had my skin crawl.

This type of man starves kids by existing and never stopping hoarding money.

But Allie isn't a person.

Allie is a manifestation of those who sit safely behind white picket fences as their government genocides foreign nationals and lets Israel bombs the fuck out of Gaza.

Can't relate to being so privileged you ignore the trauma it does to children, being raised as the second family, and by a much older man.

Hint: being her Golden Children and his Spares, fucks them up.

But this isn't romance.

This is a Patriarchial Nuance for the toxic, emotionally stunted Unseen, Unloved and utterly Unfucked to live through the idea their men haven't matured, instead of toddlerised being a condition of manhood, all men, no exceptions.

Hes pathetically abusive, she's pathetically enabling, because this shit doesn't happen to the Neurotypical safe white woman, the boring bastards that they are, they target neurodiverse women to abuse, and I can't imagine what its like being envious of sexual violation like this.

The story begins with an auction to generate funds for children in foster care. When it comes time for Allie to auction off her date, a bidding war breaks out, and when Patrick sees her, he knows he has to win. Their date was great, their night was unbelievable, and the next morning she was a ghost.
When her ex arrives at her workplace with the perfect new job offer at his father's famed restaurant, she knows she has to apply. When she goes to meet him, she discovers that it is Patrick. The ideal date, the man who possessed her body, and the man she's been thinking about on repeat. She had no idea he was Caleb's father; they'd never even swapped last names.
This is so terrible, yet it feels so perfect. He is now her supervisor; they can't be more, yet their time together proves differently. These two were attracted to each other from the start. Nothing could stop their love for each other, and the work was fated to be. If you're looking for a forbidden/workplace romance with a hint of suspense, this was an excellent read.

Every time I read a book by this author I’m never disappointed and I’m always up late reading it because I just don’t want tto put in down. Allie is a sous Chef and is now being Auctioned off for a good cause thats close to her heart the Local Orphanage because she grew up in the system and will always help out and has just been sold off to the highest bidder for $25,000 and a record for the highest amount. Patrick is a world class Chef and owns the restaurant Savor and is now at the charity Auction for the local Orphanage when he see’s the most beautiful woman on the stage and start a bidding war with others but wins a date with her in the end and pay $25,000. On there date it’s perfect and they have a hot and steamy night together and they both decide they want more and start seeing each other all the while not realizing that Allie is his son’s Ex girlfriend and he is her Ex Caleb father and now her new boss but how will it all turn out when they can’t keep their hands to themselves and there is a baby on the way. Fantastic book.

This was a really good story, full of romance and action, and a hint of danger with a mafia tinge. Allie is a sous chef who participates in a fundraiser auction and her winning bid is the father of her ex-boyfriend, Patrick, although she doesn’t know it at the time. They go on their date and have a one night stand, but little does Allie know, she is soon to run into Patrick who is the owner of a restaurant and a renowned chef and is also looking for a sous chef, as his current one is going on maternity leave. Pretty soon she’s working in this restaurant, and they start a romantic relationship which is full of spice and before you know it, she’s pregnant. Her ex-boyfriend walks in and discovers it. They are in a relationship. Things happen, and some excitement happens with the mafia and the restaurant and they have to close the doors. Allie and Patrick discovered they are having twins. They go on to have a happy ever after.

Allie had quit her job at another restaurant and her ex-boyfriend told her about a sous chef position at his father's restaurant, neither one realizing that she intimately knew Patrick. She brings in her resume and both Patrick and Allie are shocked to see one another. Sie is hired and their affair continues. Their life gets complicated when a mafia boss and his "businessmen” choose Savor for the monthly meetings. It gets even more complicated when Patrick's son finds out about their relationship.

Ms. Crowne has given us a wonderful older man/younger woman story that takes us on the journey with Patrick and Allie and does not let go until, you get to the end and you heave that heavy sigh and say “whoa, good book!” The story keeps will keep you turning pages as fast as you can absorb the words that are filled with instant chemistry, secrets, anger, hurt, confusion, and anxiety. Allie is up on the auction block for a very good cause…donations for a local orphanage and since she grew up in the system this is near & dear to her heart. She ends up being bought by Patrick…she’s also the history maker of the night being the absolute largest donation draw ever for the local orphanage. Their date is amazing and they decide to go further to see where it can take them. What a roller coaster ride full of surprises, twists and turns are around every corner for them. Allie and Patrick

This was an unexpected read. Allie was a child of the system and the story starts out with an auction to raise money for kids in foster care. When it's Allie's turn to auction off her date, a bidding war insues and when Patrick sees her...he MUST win. Their date, perfect, their night unbelievable and the following morning she's ghost.

When her ex shows up at her job with the perfect new job all wrapped in a bow at his dad's popular restaurant, she's got to apply. Only when she goes to meet him - it's Patrick. The perfect date, the man that owned her body and the man she's been thinking of on a loop. She didn't know he was Caleb's dad - they never even exchanged last names.

This is so wrong but it feels so right. He's now her boss, they can't be more, but the time together says otherwise. These two were drawn to each other from the beginning. Nothing was going to stop their pursuit of one another and the job was like the fates deemed it so. If you want a forbidden/workplace romance, with a bid of suspense thrown in, this was a pretty good read.

Many readers don't realize how talented an author has to be to write a great steamy novel. This author has that talent. She combines an interesting story that grabs you from the first page with the high steam that unexplainably exists between two people.

Unfortunately, the title is a little misleading. The heroine was actually participating in a charity auction for a good cause. The title makes it sound like she was kidnapped and trafficked. At first I was hesitant to read the book until I realized what was what. But I know titles are important and designed to draw the reader in. Setting that aside...

What I loved about this novel were the surprises. Just when you thought you knew where the story was headed...brake hard! Because it would then take an entirely different turn.

The storyline was also believable throughout. The attraction (and the whys behind it), the following doubts, the messy relationships that everyone had to learn to navigate. Wow. Everything was handled with skill as I kept reading until the end.

This will not be the last novel I read by this author.

Beginning with a charity auction, sous chef Allie feels instant chemistry with Patrick, the man who bought her for a date. They have a torrid night, but Allie leaves before he wakes up. When her ex-boyfriend tells her his executive chef dad is in search of a new sous chef, she walks in to the job interview to find Patrick. Things get complicated.

I really liked this story. Allie and Patrick are both dedicated to their professions, seeking for innovation and perfection in the food they prepare. They also cannot deny their growing attraction that is only increased by their mutual dedication to the culinary world. When issues arise and crises hit, they handle what comes at them by working together and supporting each other. Expect a HEA and plenty of spice!

Another great book from the Silver Fox Daddies Series from KC Crowne. Allie is helping in a charity auction for orphans and foster kids. Patrick is fascinated with Allie and out bids everyone for her. The date becomes more but Allie and scared and left before anything can get started again. Allie's ex comes back and lets her know that there is new sous chef with his dad, and she is looking. She found out that her ex's dad is Patrick. It gets a little weird, but he gives her the job. They tried to keep it professional, but it didn't last, and Allie's finds out she is pregnant, and all blows up on their faces with Patrick's and Allies Ex finds it all out. In the meantime, they have big problems with the NYC mobsters. Its twister of emotions, drama and danger. A great story and you are going to love it as much as I did.

This is part of the Silver Fox group of stories but is a stand alone read. It is fun and enjoyable story with a passion for cooking, some thrills, mafia, suspense and good twists. The story is a an ex-boyfriends dad plot about Allie and Patrick. Patrick is at a charity event where ladies and gentlemen are auctioned for a themed date night. He is the higher bidder on Allie. They meet and the attraction is immediate. They have their planned date that gets more passionate then either had bargained for. When Allie sees Patrick next it is when her ex-boyfriend, Caleb, is introducing her to his dad, an Executive Chef. Patrick is looking for a new Sous Chef for his restaurant. They are both shocked but pretend they don't know each other. dates for a themed Caleb, my ex-boyfriend. Things get hot in kitchen! The characters are combustible and toss in a little mafia action to add to the fire.. I enjoyed the plot and really like the main characters.

A fun story to read as Allie is a sous chef who participates in a fundraiser auction for charity. Patrick Spellman is fascinated and intrigued by her. Both hope for a new budding romance between them or not. I love this age gap romance as fate brings them back together when her ex-boyfriend Caleb introduces her to his father the owner and chef of his own restaurant for a job. A captivating story as their relationship grows so does his business. There's a few twists and turns to keep the story interesting at his restaurant, some mafia involvement, and finds out she's pregnant. How does Caleb take the new his father is dating his ex? How does Patrick feel about the baby? Every relationship has its struggle, will they survive when life throws them a few curveballs? I loved Patrick and Allie's story. Allie agrees to enter a charity auction with her best friend and roommate, Stacy. Allie ends up getting "brought" by Patrick, the owner of Savor Restaurant. She ends up with a hot date with Patrick and, although she is attracted to him, is scared to have feelings for him. Before long, her ex Caleb came up with a job offer for her at his dad's restaurant. She is mortified when she turns up with Caleb to meet his dad for the interview, and it's Patrick. They manage to see each other, work alongside each other in the restaurant, and carry on their relationship. KC keeps you turning the pages with their steamy relationship and some twists and turns that you don't see coming.

K. C. Crowne is an amazing writer. I love the way she skillfully weaves her characters in her story. This book is part of tye Silver Fox Daddies Series that can be read as a standalone. Patrick's owns a restaurant and agrees to attend an auction that will be for a good cause. It's a good thing that he went because that's where he met Allie, whose friends encouraged her to be one of the people being auctioned off. Patrick and Allie ended up going to dinner as part of the auction but sparks started to fly and they ended up spending the night together. When Allie's ex boyfriend agreed to introduce her to his dad who could help her out, she was shocked that the person she spent the incredible night with was her ex-boyfriend's father. Will these two be able to keep their relationship secret, and for how long?

This was a light read. A very very very light read. There was so very little depth to it at all. Luckily, that was what I was expecting, so I wasn't too terribly disappointed. But it could have been so much more.

It felt like the author wanted to throw in as many tropes into this book as possible. So, we end up with age gap, ex's dad, surprise pregnancy, Mafia, auction, a night with future boss... did I miss any? Probably.

I always want more from my books. This one didn't feel anything but surface level, so it was hard to take their feelings seriously, too.
Not to mention, the blurb said her ex was still infatuated with her, and I didn't feel that at all. Not even a little.

I'm not continuing the series. I may read others if they pop up now and again, but I won't read them on purpose. I don't recommend it either.

Allie agrees to participate in a charity auction where an evening with her on an adventure is the prize. As soon as Patrick sees her he knows he will bid whatever it takes to win the date. When their eyes meet Allie feels the draw as well and the date ends with her spending the night. Things get very complicated from there when Allies’s ex, Caleb, stops by the restaurant she’s working at to tell her his fathers hot spot resturant is in need of a Sous chef and offers to introduce her to his father. Both Allie and Patrick are shocked when they realize the connection to Caleb and don’t mention they know each other. Now they are working together and can’t ignore their attraction which leads to unplanned changes in their lives. To complicate things more a local mob boss wants to rent the restaurant out for 1 night a month which brings danger and unease to their lives.

I don't know what took me so long to read KC Crowne, but I was obviously missing out. This book was amazing! I was drawn in from the first sentence and had a hard time putting it down. I am a huge fan of cooking shows, so I loved they were both chefs. What starts out as a charity auction date turns 'real' pretty quick. Allie quickly finds out that her charity auction date is actually her ex's dad. Crowne gives us angst and drams without it happening between the main characters. Which was great!
Her writing kept the book flowing and I cannot think of any issues with spelling or grammar. Overall, this book is a 5/5. It's defiantly a spicy fill good read. I will recommend it to everyone. Recommend 18+ age. 4 on the spice scale.

Great story.

When Allie went to the charity date auction with her friend Stacy she didn't expect to be bought by her soul mate.
When Patrick saw Allie on the stage he knew he had to win the auction & it wasn't for the free helicopter ride. It was love at first sight for them & after just one night together they both knew it wouldn't be enough.
When her ex Caleb told her about a job at his dad's restaurant she had no idea that he was Patrick's son.
Celebrity was angry when he found out & but they a new deal he made with a client at the restaurant put their happy ever after in danger thar nobody could have predicted.
It's sweet, steamy, funny & twists that keep you glued, I loved it.
