The Gods Made Me Do It #10

Suffisamment Spécial (Les Dieux m’y ont obligé t. 10)

Rate this book

Lovely, low angst romance

I thought that this book was nice that we didn’t have some huge misunderstanding, or miscommunication between our MC’s (that could have easily been avoided) which separated them for a time. This book was fairly low angst, but rather, was sweet and sincere. I loved that Loki wasn’t able to sway Evan against Odin, and that Evan was so accepting of his mate, and their lives together.

I know it won’t happen, but what if our two chaos bringers ended up being mated? Would that be a disaster of epic proportions? Or would Seth possibly be the only being in creation that could forever keep Loki from boredom, and vice versa? It will be interesting to see how things turn out...

I loved it.

I loved seeing how Odin softened. I loved that Thor still came to help his father even though he’d been mad at him. I wish we could have seen more of what their missions will be when Evan had a vision. I think the only sad part for me was Evans dad. It truly sounds like he lost his mind when his mate died. I hope they can talk again. Is he with Evans mom in the afterlife? Are they going to be reincarnated? Another great addition to the series lisa! Kentucky!? Not nice at all! You’ve given me nothing to go on! Lol. I’m looking forward to the next one.

My deat Lisa, what shall I say. I finished "When Tree Points Collide" and remained of the condition that the new book will be about Seth - wasn't so sure, how his story will turn out - we will see :-) But reading Odin and Evan's story made me smile the whole time while reading. Lovely, absolutely lovely this couple.
Thank again for sharing your unfatahonale fantasie with us.
Love and of course the DOUBLE HUGS for you too

By the way - you can see how fast i read, couldn't put my kindle aside :-)

Complex story, low angst, uplifting resolution

I was prepared not to like Odin after the way he treated Orin but the way he treated Evan won me over. I enjoyed the Norse myth elements (lifelong reader of Norse sagas, the prose and Poetic Eddas in English)

Evan suffered so much early in the book and that was hard to read. It worked well that Odin never really turned his back on Evan; there were few misunderstandings between them. But there were plenty of issues with the local Coven, the wolf pack, Loki, etc.

I am hoping the unnamed demon gets a story at some point, he feels like a bridge between Gods and Cloverleah.

Oh, and the final scene with the Coven is perfect. No one does justice (or maybe comeuppance) like Lisa Oliver.

Absolutely brilliant!

This is the 10th - can't believe we are at 10 books, in the Gods Made Me Do It series, and this time it is the Norse God Odin and his fated mate Evan who is half wolf and half witch. Evan is such a sweet character who has had a horrible life up until Odin steps into it. With Odin's help and love Evan overcomes the evil that has been in his life without him realising. With the help of Odin's wolves and ravens and a demon who doesn't want to be there they get their much deserved HEA. Can't wait for the next book, we know it will be in Kentucky and Loki involved but what other God will be there.

I picked this book because it fit for a challenge, but I didn't have a moment's regret! I loved meeting all of the wonderful characters and seeing Evan become the man he was meant to be. Not to mention the occasional visit from Loki! *grin*

This is the first book in this series that I have read, and I loved it so much that I am almost afraid to read the others for fear of being disappointed! ;p

Many questions were answered about Evan's horrific past, but Odin is making sure that they will have a lifetime together making happy memories! If you are looking for a feel-good story, choose this one!

Surprising

I was really prepared to hate odin for what he did to orin and Thor but i was very surprised by how he turned out. It did kind of come out of nowhere though, and i found that to be a bit unrealistic and kind of annoying. Still odin turned out to be a wonderful mate and evan sure deserved one.

Great story and one that did justice to the rest of the series. I cant wait to see whats next!

As always she never disappoints. Another one to love

I love the gods series. The big guys falling for their mates. Who are always the one who needs help but the big guys are sent to love them. And this is one of the stories. And evil never wins. And the best part is when the Cloverleaf pack is mentioned. That series started me on my love of Lisa Oliver. Read the book its so worth the time

Great story

Odin and Evan were perfect for each other. Evan broke my heart so many for everything he went through but still being such a good and open man.
Odin was perfect for him, loving on him and taking care of him without being too overbearing or smothering.
Lovely and sweet story

Lisa Oliver is my fave author and a one click buy. This story is about Odin and his mate Evan. Evan is half mage and half wolf who went to stay with his aunt when his parents passed away. Odin disguised himself and met Evan in his aunts diner. This is another great book with some angst, love and believing in oneself. Cannot wait till the next book.

Lisa's books rock

It was interesting to see how she personified the Norse god Odin. She gave him a personality that drew the reader's attention. Evan was his polar opposite at the beginning. Evan had no life and this added a touch of mystery. It was the most interesting use of the fated mate trope I've seen. Good read and an excellent audio book.

Another hit by Lisa Oliver. I loved both Odin and his mate Evan. The protection Odin provided Evan from everybody around was the happiness and joy I was looking for. Whilst the book was completed I did feel that there was a few things that could have been addressed like Evan's Aunt Rosie.

I love this series because these characters just touch my heart. They go through such intense situations but can still laugh and love. I always look forward to the next book and can't wait to see how some of these difficult twisted gods can be altered by love.

Perfect!

As usual, Lisa Oliver delivers a story with all the feels. I love how she writes her characters with all the good, bad and ugly, so they can get their HEA. This book was no exception. Totally worth reading as part of the God series. Highly recommended

hooray for Odin

Finally the mighty Odin is felled to a wolf!! Evan is adorable! Such innocence and openness…paired with Odin. Opposites attract? The Fates are definitely busy, but canny too. Tut, tut, tut Loki…

Finding your worth

Evan has struggled through life but he has no idea how much that will change when an older man sits at his table at the diner. Odin and Evan are a perfect match for each other and I loved watching Evan blossom after Odin makes his move. Lovely story!

Another success

Evan and Odin were a great combination, a lighter story after Ra’s book. Lots of action, hot characters and fun take on these gods. Keep them coming Lisa.
