TWO AGAINST ONEMira is finally reunited with Soul Howl, but there's no time to reminisce! The two face the powerful Machina Guardian, a raid boss that required all Nine Wise Men to defeat back in their gaming days. To make matters worse, this enemy now has learning capabilities like never before. Is there an ingenious strategy that will get Mira and Soul Howl out of this bind? Whatever it is, they better find it quick, or their reunion will be short-lived...
Mira finally found Howl. Now it is time to defeat the raid boss. It is here they learn there is more to the dungeon than meets the eye, it might even contain the answers to what happened to the players.
I liked the volume, even though it is a very strong science fiction feel to it. Entertaining characters as always, although not too unique, as expected. Not entirely sure what to feel about what their findings might entail, although I can make a guess based on stories with similar tropes. Curious what it will be. Still, while we get some progress in the main plot, it is very little. Most of the book is filled with a big fight, which was reasonably well written, although not particularly tense.
All in all, an entertaining story that fitted my expectations.
