Squirrels in Frankfurter Highlight

Rate this book
Jing and Gyp used to live a good life with their mother on the moon, but their father took them for a weekend visit and abandoned them on Earth in a dark arcade called Squirrels in Frankfurter Highlight, a 24 hour gamblers’ haven of vidmind games. Jing must save her brother from the arcade's ogre, Base, the security, who hunts the boy to trade him for cash to the cruit-joes who will sell him as cheap offworld labor. A bad gamble costs Gyp his consciousness; now his mind is lost and locked inside a Gamm, the arcade's gaming machines, where bleeders lurk. Gyp can only be saved by Jing, but she's never played a game in void link.

I've always been a writer and reader. Those two qualities have defined my life. I teach and am also very interested in technology. I love cats(sorry to be so cliché) and am developing a love for taking care of gardens, though I've always loved plants and knowing the names of plant species. Love to walk through gardens and places with lots of wild things. I live on the west coast so there's plenty of wet wild space to explore. I've started a small publishing company called RainWood press and am just beginning to venture into self publishing. I've tended to be published traditionally, but as I get older, I realize I don't have enough time left to wait around and see if anyone wants to publish my work.

I've always taken a camera of sorts with me and take pictures(my cell phone has the best camera, ever) and on occasion I've published them, but have never thought of myself as photographer. I like to draw and paint and I do my own book covers, but I don't use my own art work because I don't have enough of it.
