Will of Iron #1

Iron Blade

Rate this book
The Irish Mafia used the Four Art Gallery to launder money. What's good enough for the mob was good enough for us.

My organization has sworn to take down the criminal underground. The Greens reigned supreme over my beloved city, and it was time to burn them down. My job is to launder money for our operations, and gather intel. I was never supposed to be noticed.

But then I marveled at a painting on the wall... a painting made by a true artist. A master of his craft. It made me gasp, "Who did this?"

His voice sent shivers down my spine, as the dark prince of New York City declared, "I'm Eoghan Green. Your master."

Now I'm in too deep, and my own team can't rescue me from the Hell of my own making. I have to rescue myself from the monster... And it's only the beginning.

This is the first of a three-part series that follows Eoghan and Kira. This book leads to Iron Cross, then Iron Crown.

Title: Iron Blade: An Irish Mafia Romance (Will of Iron Book 1)** 🌟

**Tropes and Triggers:**
- **Irish Mafia:** Dive into the dark underbelly of the Irish mafia.
- **Obsessive Male Main Character (MMC):** Prepare for an intense, all-consuming love interest who won't take no for an answer.
- **Art History References:** Passion meets canvas with rich nods to art history.
- **Knife/Blood:** Expect graphic scenes involving knives and blood.
- **Dark Romance:** A gritty, morally gray love story.
- **Parental Abuse:** Sensitive content involving parental abuse.
- **Cigarette Smoking:** Characters who smoke frequently.
- **Spice Level:** 🔥🔥🔥

**Why You'll Love It:**
"Iron Blade" by Molly Briar intertwines elements of dark romance with deep references to art history, echoing Coleridge's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" in its haunting narrative. The story centers on Eoghan, an obsessive male protagonist, and Kira, rich with poignant artistry. Briar skillfully weaves together fate, tragedy, and love into a single, enthralling tapestry.

Throughout the novel, Eoghan's obsessive nature permeates the narrative, underscoring his complex relationship with Kira. Moments after their intimate encounter are depicted raw and hot, showcasing the intensity of their connection. The prose, often structured in threes, echoes the artist's mindset, where perception transcends reality, beautifully captured in lines like, "My darling, my muse, my goddess."

Briar’s narrative delves deep into the artist's psyche, illustrating how they perceive and express emotions uniquely, a refreshing take that resonates throughout the story. Descriptions vividly evoke emotions that cannot be captured by a mere photograph, emphasizing the power of art in expressing the ineffable.

The climax of the novel, marked by a pivotal painting, leaves readers hanging on a precipice, eagerly awaiting the sequel. For those drawn to narratives woven with artistry and dark romance, "Iron Blade" delivers a compelling tale that explores the depths of obsession and love.

**Verdict:**
If you're drawn to dark romance, artistic intrigue, and characters who defy convention, "Iron Blade" is your next obsession. Molly Briar's morally gray world is a thrilling escape—no damsels, just danger and desire. 🖤 I’ll be eagerly awaiting the next book! 😊

With Iron Blade a new series is starting. And damn what an amazing start of this series. In this book we follow Kira and Eoghan, Kira works as an undercover spy in an art gallery owned by the Irish Mafia and in comes Eoghan Green, heir to the Irish Mafia and a painter. And ohhh boy I loved both characters so much!

Written in dual-POV and with the typical writingstyle from Briar your in for an amazing wilde ride with this book, an emotional rollercoaster to say. And if you have read the other books from Molly, you are in for a treat. You'll see some characters from the other books and see some things frome a whole different view!

This book is a must read if you like Irish mafia romance, a tat darkness, yummie spice, art, breeding k!nk and falling fast and hard.

Thank you Molly Briar for this ARC to read and review.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

First off, the ending of this book had me on the edge of my seat and foaming at the mouth in the best way. Also I have NEVER highlighted this many passages in any other book I have read.

We get two perspectives: Kira Keoka, a spy undercover as an art curator, and Eoghan Green, Irish Mafia heir.

Kira is a strong woman who has endured hardships that no one should. Her spy life started when she decided to give no one the power over her that she felt while her father was dying and loan sharks circled her. Art is her therapy and it worked out that she launders money from the art gallery she works at, which just so happens to be owned by our main male character.

Throughout the book you hear about the madness that is the Irish Mafia prince, Eoghan. He is trying to regain the mafia in a more structured and in line group, getting away from the reckless and illegal activities that his father, Alistair, began. We see him as determined, loving, and obsessive through his and Kira’s eyes. He falls fast and hard for Miss Keoka. Knowing above anything else that she is who he will marry.

Fast is the fall in love for these two. As much as it is a cliche to say: it was fate. As much as Kira tries to deny it she gives into the dark eyes and light hair of Mr. Green, ignoring all of the bad remarks tossed her way about him.

Even with many against them and the short time together, they tie themselves together in more ways than one.

Can their love conquer the mafia boss? Will they get their happily ever after? Or will the madness of love brewing inside take hold and rip them a part for good?

You’ll just have to read and find out 😉

Eoghan (pronounced Owen) and Kira’s story is fast paced mafia book where the FMC is an undercover agent planted to observe the MMC who is an Irish mobster.
This book ends leaving you needing to know what’s next! It’s not a cliffhanger per se, but the story will continue on in book 2. I personally cannot wait for it!
I listened to the audio version of this book and can I say, Julio Maxwell delivers one of the sexiest Irish accents! I could listen to him narrating just about anything lol. I’ve been fortunate to listen to and read a couple of Molly’s books and she has this ability to really capture and hold your attention. She is quite enjoyable to listen to. Check her out!

Iron blade by Molly Briar is the first book in her new series, Will of Iron! This book was nothing short of amazing!!! I love a good dark mafia romance and Molly did great on capturing that!!! This story follows Kira and Eoghan. Kira is undercover as an agent trying to discover some secrets about the Mafia. Eoghan is the mafia heir even though his father wishes his cousin, Dario, would be the heir. Eoghan falls fast for Kira but she is not far behind him! Although she knows it’s a dangerous game to get involved with him. After receiving a “go for it” chat with her co-worker, Blink, she decides to stop holding back. Will the truth finally be revealed about Kira and Eoghan?
I cannot recommend this book enough!!! If you love a good mafia romance with morally grey characters then this is the next book you need to pick up! Molly is nothing short of an amazing author and deserves all of the love and support!!

Iron blade releases on July 21st!!! Preorder your copy today!! And check out all of Mollys other books!!

Julio Maxwell and Molly Briar bring Eoghan and Kira to life in this high stakes, mafia romance!

Eoghan Green is a mafia prince who falls hard for Kira, the curator at his family’s art gallery and unbeknownst to him, a spy set to take down the mafia that destroyed her family.

Readers who enjoy the following will like Iron Blade:
🖼️ Mafia Romance
🖤 Espionage
🖼️ Interracial Relationship
🖤 Instalove/lust
🖼️ ALL THE ACCENTS!!!
🖤 Spice
🖼️ Runaway Bride

Julio Maxwell is a new narrator to me and damn, did he conquer every accent in this story! It only makes sense that Molly Briar would deliver on a character she envisioned, so as always beautiful job!

I love when the man falls first and hard like Eoghan and this book is setting up for some serious grovel by our leading man.

A great start to the Will of Iron trilogy! This ends on a cliffhanger and cannot be read as a standalone.

I have been impatiently waiting for Kira and Eoghan's story since the Queen of the Night duet. Eoghan was such a complex and domineering character. I could not wait for this story, and this book delivered so much more than I could have ever hoped for.

I was not expecting Kira to be an undercover agent. She was such a bada$$ FMC. While being undercover and working in Eoghan's art gallery, Kira Kekoa (✨top notch✨ name for the FMC), catches the eye of the future head of the Irish Mafia. Eoghan falls hard and first, and I absolutely ate up their love story. As the book progressed, you saw Eoghan becoming more domineering and like his father, scaring Kira.

I read this book on vacation and could not put it down. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. If you've read any of Molly's other books you kind of knew how this book would end, as this was the backstory of these two characters, and now I will be very impatiently waiting for the rest of this series. If you like romantic thrillers with bada$$ FMCs and some spice, I definitely recommend this book!

This is the first book in what I think is a duet/trilogy, and let me tell you, it's got me hooked! 🎣

Let's talk about Kira and Eoghan Green. Kira is such a badass FMC, and Eoghan? He's our over-the-top, jealous, and possessive mafia heir. My heart can't handle it! 💔❤️

I don’t want to spoil anything, but this book made me feel everything – nervous, happy, and everything in between. There are some heavy topics, especially towards the end, so make sure you read the trigger warnings (TW) before diving in. 📚⚠️

Honestly, I need more of this book ASAP. I can't wait for the sequel! Molly Briar, you've got me on the edge of my seat! 😍✨

Iron blade follows the story of Ms Kira Kekoa and our new Master, Mr Eoghan Green.
Kira’s role is playing the ever so intelligent art curator, spying on the ins and out of the underworld trades. She plays her role diligently until Mr Green forces his way into her life and is left to choose between what she feels and what she knows.
Mr Eoghan Green. The prince of the Irish Mafia. Master Artist in sketches and paints. Well versed in the ancient and soulful languages of the heart (seriously, you will swoon and swoon some more!) His character battles with the hierarchy that is his father, attempting to clean up his ‘family’ out of the gutters, doing so in a new generation kind of way. He is met with multiple obstacles that slowly push him to become the person he most despises.
Though he is all of the above, he is also completely possessive, dangerous and hot headed.
Molly put together a thrilling, book 1 of the Will of Iron series, by giving us view points of the two main MC’s, each with their own hidden trauma and struggles. The plot was a brilliant ride. The ending made it a 5 star for me. The ending. Omg, the ending is all I can say! I am committed to this series and can’t wait to read book 2 when it releases!
Thank you again Molly for such an enthralling ride! ♥️🖤

"Iron Blade" by Molly Briar is a gripping and intense introduction to a thrilling trilogy set in the dark underworld of the Irish Mafia. This first installment weaves a tale of danger, passion, and the fight for survival, all set against the backdrop of New York City's criminal underbelly.

The story centers around Kira, an operative for an organization determined to dismantle the criminal underground. Tasked with laundering money and gathering intel, Kira's mission takes a dramatic turn when she encounters Eoghan Green, the enigmatic and powerful heir to the Irish Mafia. The instant attraction and palpable tension between Kira and Eoghan set the stage for a captivating cat-and-mouse game.

Briar excels at creating a dark, atmospheric setting that immerses the reader in the perilous world of organized crime. The plot is fast-paced and full of twists, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as Kira navigates her precarious situation. The chemistry between Kira and Eoghan is electric, adding a layer of intensity and complexity to the narrative. Their relationship is fraught with danger and desire, making for an engaging and suspenseful read.

One of the standout elements of "Iron Blade" is Briar's ability to craft multifaceted characters. Kira is a strong, resourceful protagonist, and her inner conflicts and determination make her a compelling heroine. Eoghan, with his dark charisma and underlying vulnerability, is equally fascinating. Their interactions are charged with emotion and stakes, drawing readers deeper into their tumultuous journey.

However, the novel falls just short of a five-star rating for a few reasons. While the plot is undeniably gripping, some readers might find certain aspects of the story predictable. Additionally, the development of secondary characters could have been more robust, providing a richer, more immersive experience. Lastly, the book ends on a cliffhanger, which, while effective in building anticipation for the next installment, might leave some readers feeling temporarily unsatisfied.

Despite these minor drawbacks, "Iron Blade" is a compelling and thrilling start to the trilogy. Briar's writing is engaging, and her ability to create a dark, seductive world filled with danger and passion is commendable. The novel's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, making it a must-read for fans of romantic suspense and crime dramas.

In conclusion, "Iron Blade" by Molly Briar is a captivating and intense read that sets the stage for an exciting trilogy. With its intriguing characters, fast-paced plot, and atmospheric setting, it promises an exhilarating journey through the dark world of the Irish Mafia. With a bit more unpredictability and deeper character development, future installments have the potential to elevate the series to a five-star experience.

Kira Kekoa is the art curator for the Four Art Gallery. She is undercover, laundering money and gathering intelligence for the organization she works for. She was never supposed to get noticed. But one day as she was showing some clients artwork within the gallery, a piece catches her eye. She instantly notices it to be the work of a true artist. Kira audibly gasps, “This was painted by a true master. Who did this?” The voice of the dark prince of New York sends shivers down her spine as he speaks, “I am Eoghan Green. Your master.” Now Kira is in far too deep, and her team cant rescue her from the hell she’s making. She has to rescue herself from the monster……And its only just the beginning….

Wow! Molly blew me away with the first of Eoghan and Kira’s three book series!! I loved getting more of the backstory of Eoghan that you don’t learn in other books. I was so captivated by their story that I read it in a day! Of the Briar verse books so far, I’ve got to say to say this one is my favorite (though it is impossible to pick because they are all so phenomenal in their own way and are a favorite for their own reasons!). There were nonstop twists and turns, so many surprises that catch you off guard, a giant ten mile long list of accumulated jaw droppingly romantic things that Eoghan that that will melt your very existence!! It was so well written and had a bunch of hilarious bits. Molly is truly one of my all time favorite authors and she always will be.

Tropes are:

He’s mafia, she’s undercover, art as therapy, breeding k!nk, he falls first, and harder, trauma recovery, forbidden romance, romantic thriller

Another great book by molly Briar. This author had kinda sneaked up on us! She has a vivid imagination, a great way of delivering her storyline and leaves you hanging on each word.

Iron blade is a tale of  Eoghan, the son of a hated mafia boss, Alistair Green, who is trying to please him and also trying to be better.

They own a gallery that launders money thru it that is run by a complex character called Kika. She is pretending to be a curator, while being a fraudster of one of the arts they sell for millions. She's also undercover investigating the Greens. Yep... Many sides to this poor girl!

What gets more complicated is that Eoghan takes a strong shine to her. Within a week he proposes.
She tells her partner in the police expecting them to pull her from the position.. Not encourage her.

The honeymoon goes so well, the rose tinted glasses are firmly on for kika.... Until she meets her father and things begin to unravel from then.

The key moment is when she saw him beating up a man in the basement. Finally solidifying that he wasn't the innocent, clean hands businessman she'd been trying to picture him as.

The problem here was Eoghan wasn't going to let her go
He kept her trapped in a room, locked in, with a bodyguard.

There's a reason she needs to escape... There's a small wind on of opportunity at a get together that night...
And a cliffhanger to keep us seriously hanging on.....!!!!!

I really hope that's not too far away!!!
As I said at the beginning, a well written beginning of a trilogy that I can't wait to see how it ends!

“I’m Eoghan Green. Your master.”

First off the ending and the cliffhanger had me in fecking knots!! The wait for book 2 (Iron Cross) will be brutal! So go in knowing this book doesn’t “end” yet!

Kira Kekoa - undercover spy watching a mafia prince. Art curator, forger and a traumatic past make her a multi layered, strong FMC.

Eoghan Green - Irish mafia Prince, artist, wants to do better, but is he the monster they say? An intense MMC who is a beautiful troubled soul and a masochist.

Their chemistry from the first meeting is electric. She doesn’t want to get pulled in but his beautiful words and sincere eyes draw her to him. It is a whirlwind relationship, with very tender moments. But Eoghan is also insanely obsessive and possessive. Kira finds herself feeling comforted and protected by those tendencies. And while she knows who his family is and what he does, she is still drawn in.

Molly drew me in to their insta love story with the words Eoghan spoke and the way he cherishes Kira and what their bond means. But in the end, he is a cruel, masochistic mafia prince who will stop at nothing to protect what is his.

The cliffhanger will make you HUNGRY for book 2, Iron Cross

"Don't underestimate me, Miss Kekoa." His black eyes were like an abyss that I wanted to fall into. He was a snake, and I was the stupid mouse, caught in his gaze. "I am not one who falls for simple delights. I don't fall for cheap thrills. I pay a high price for what delights me."

There's a very confusing timeline flow to these stories. You can't 'read them in order' because the timeline across the stories is mixed together. Iron Blade, published in 2024, is about Kira and Eoghan's marriage and her escape helped by Shiny who is in Steel Rain. Steel Rain was published in 2023 before Iron Blade, yet that timeline is later than Iron Blade because Shiny is back with the Irish Mafia and Eoghan is looking for the missing Kira. In Iron Blade, cousin Dairo is unwed, but hello Iron Rose, published in 2023 when he and Rose get together. Then, the 3rd book in the Kira/Eoghan story was just published in Jan 2025. Iron Blade is set after Kira vanishes from Eoghan's life, so I already know what happens to them. Kira is some kind of undercover agent & art forger. She's inserted in his art gallery/money laundering business to learn more about it & the Irish Mafia. She's supposed to stay away from them, him. But of course his instant animal magnetism practically renders her mindless. For an agent, she is strangely naive about gangsters. "How can a man who knew art and beauty be as cruel as they said? Gangsters didn't know about Delacroix." etc. I have liked how this author writes strong female characters, but am disappointed in Kira. This story is too strange; melodramatic, bizarre. Per this site, this author rates her own books as 5 stars, which seems manipulative. I skipped half the book, just skimmed to the end.

Molly Briar’s Iron Blade slices deep—and the immersive audiobook experience cuts even sharper. Molly Briar and Julio Maxwell breathe life into the dangerous dance between Eoghan Green and Kira Kekoa from the moment their eyes meet. The contrast between Eoghan’s obsession and Kira’s quiet defiance is richly performed, the narration capturing more than words—each intense silence, each reluctant confession, each razor-edged promise lands with a mesmeric clarity.

Our brooding antihero and secretive femme fatale's collision is multi-layered. Eoghan, heir to Ireland’s Mafia empire, is painted with tenderness beneath the brutality, beautifully echoed in Maxwell's performance. Kira, meanwhile, is no pawn—wearing her trauma like a shield—Briar bringing a brittle strength to her that makes you ache for her. Their twisted arrangement unfolds with an almost cinematic rhythm, with every rise in tension underscored by an incessant threat of emotional or physical destruction.

This isn't your typical high-stakes mafia romance—it’s more introspective. The only thing keeping me from giving it a full 5 stars is the degree of predictability and a middle act where tension briefly dips before roaring back to life. But make no mistake, this audiobook is a brutal lullaby—hypnotic, harrowing, and strangely hopeful—and I was GRIPPED. Iron Blade lingers like smoke and ink; if you’re looking for a love story that will bite your clavicle and take hold, this one will indelibly mark you.

Having read other books in the Briarverse I have been on edge waiting for story of Eoghan Green and Kira Keoka, and Molly Briar didn't disappoint. This book was gritty and pulled out all the emotions - lust, rage, fear, insecurity. As with other books where the main character's stories span more than one book, the plot feels so complex and the characters nuanced. With Kira, we are shown both her strength and insecurities, and with Eoghan we see both a tenderness and brutality. Knowing where they need to end, I cannot wait to see the wild ride that will happen. I wish there were words to explain how much I loved this book - Am I obsessed? Yes, and I have no shame.
As this book does take place in the Briarverse, characters from other series - I especially loved seeing more of Aoibheann's back story. Additionally I feel like new characters are being introduced and it will be interesting to see how that all plays out.
This is easily one of my favorite books and I would highly recommend. This is not a standalone and readers will need to read Iron Cross and Iron Crown to completed Kira and Eoghan's story.

I received this book from the publisher/author at no cost to me and volunteered to read it; my review is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.

“I’m Eoghan Green. Your master.”

I finished this in less than 24 hours so that should tell you all you need to know 😂

Kira and Eoghan’s story was such a fantastic read. I don’t highlight often but for this one, Eoghan just had way too many good lines not to.

Kira is so badass to me. She’s also very relatable. There were conversations she’d have with Cosa or Eoghan and I couldn’t help but feel the same way. Her story on why she’s independent and never wants to rely on another person again was a hard one to read about. It was just so sad😭 but understandable given what she was put through in order to pay her debt. When Gio started talking about her in THAT scene I quite literally wanted to jump through my screen and take him out myself. The spice 😮‍💨 Eoghan’s confidence, assertiveness, and his way with words… Kira is a better woman than me because I would’ve been down for him within the first five chapters😭

Everything was going great until I got about 70 or 80% in and I was just like DAMNN. I knew something was gonna happen, but the way it ended had me staring into space for a while bc I just NEED more.

Overall such a great read! I enjoyed every page. Especially when Eoghan compared Kira to a fine piece of art or when he’d draw her. 5/5⭐️ read!

Kira and Eoghan’s story was such a great read, it was definitely one of those unputdownable stories for me. If I didn’t have to work I would have read it in one sitting.

The way Eoghan falls for Kira so quickly and the way she fights her feelings on every turn. Had me screaming and giggling at the same time..

Everything in this book was so well described it really made you feel like you could see what they saw and that you were inside the book with them! That’s one of my favorite things to have when reading books!

I NEED the next book asap because the ending had me rethinking my whole life. I cannot wait to see where the story goes and what happens next!

"Let me taste you, and I will buy you this gallery and everything in it"

My all time favorite line from Eoghan Green.

Iron Blade made my heart swoon. Eoghan is a man who loves to look and art but most of all creating it. So when he visited his gallery and saw a master piece he needed to have it. That master piece was Kira. Kira lived a different life than most women have. So Eoghan stroke up a deal that she could not turn down. The moment she signed the contract to be his wife and have all the money at her finger tips everything was up hill from there. She felt loved again. But when she finds out who her husband truly is and capable of she needs to get out. With the help of a girl who was declared lost 6 years ago randomly shows up to her mother's funeral, questions are being raised. Kira has an out. Can Eoghan find her before its to late.

This book had me on the edge of my seat with every chapter. I loved how intrigued the MMC was and how he persuaded the FMC into becoming his wife and both of them falling deeply in love with eachother. This is my first ever Molly Briar book and I will continue to read her stories.

IRON BLADE

Iron Blade is the first book in the new Will Of Iron Series and boy oh boy is this gonna be one hell of a series if book one is anything to go by!!

This is the story of Kira Keoka, an undercover spy and Eoghan Green, an Irish Mafia heir. That combo, to me, doesn't automatically scream epic romance but OMG was i wrong.... from the very first chapter they had me hooked. Its written in a dual POV which along with the amazing character development helps you really connect to each of the MCs and is a great way to introduce some side characters that no doubt will play a mega role in the upcoming books.
Its got everything you need to keep you enthralled throughout..

🗡 Obsessive MMC
🗡 Forbidden Romance
🗡 He falls first
🗡 Trauma Recovery
🗡 Violence
🗡 Blood Pact
🗡 Morally Gray
🗡 Parental Abuse
🗡 Plenty of spice

The ending of this book had me begging for the next installment!! Well don't Molly Briar, I think this could be your best one yet and that's saying something cause they are all amazing!

If you love mafia romance then this is your book. I loved this book so much. Kira has had a rough life that led her to being a spy posing and an art curator in a gallery that launders money for the Irish mafia family the Greens. The heir to the throne Eoghan is trying everything to bring his family out of the darkness and be nothing like his father Alistair. The love between Kira and Eoghan was fated and fast. Kira is determined to never be controlled by anyone ever again but all Eoghan knows is control. Can their love last? I have so many questions that need answers. The end of this book left me reeling and on the edge of my seat in best way. I need to know what is going to happen next for our love birds. It’s my absolute favorite to watch a tough guy melt for his woman and Eoghan was a puddle for Kira and I loved watching him bend to her. He loved her so much and fell so fast I can’t wait to see what comes next. The spice was hot the build to it I think may it so much better because the desire and need you could feel. I can’t wait to read more.

~Iron Blade~Will Of Iron Book 1~Molly Briar~

~Duet Narration~Molly Briar & Julio Maxwell~

"I should run. I should run far, far away, but he smelled so good. He felt so warm, and I couldn’t move. He may as well have bound me to him. I was drawn to his magnetism. I didn’t know how to lose his attention now that I had it."

♡This is my first read by Molly Briar & it did not disappoint! I love a m@fia book & Molly executed it perfectly!! Eoghan(Owen) & Kiras's story is fast paced & will keep you on the edge of your seat begging for more!! The ending to this book had me immediately ready to jump right into book 2!!

The duet narration for this read was phenomenal! Molly did a phenomenal job at voicing our strong-willed, independent, & sassy FMC Kira. Julio did an impeccable job at voicing our stubborn, won't take no for an answer, obsessive m@fia prince Eoghan! I could listen to that accent all day!!

If you love dark m@fia romances, banter, spice, a dark MMC & a strong FMC that puts herself first this book checks every box!!

~As Always Happy Reading~

✨I received an arc for an honest review. These opinions are my own✨

During this story we follow Kira and Eoghan. Kira is an art curator who has a dark past and many hidden secrets. Eoghan is an Irish mafia heir who’s fighting against the current.

Eoghan falls for Kira pretty fast, but Kira doesn’t follow suit as quickly. She fights against all her instincts but eventually she falls into it. Their story is one of fate, as they so thought. Can they go against all odds and make things work?

I loved how fast but also slow paced this story is, it keeps you interested and the details of their surroundings and the people around them is described so well. I also loved all of the art history that is described. We really got to see just how entranced these characters were with art and the story that it tells.

I cannot wait for the next book to come out because that ending has me absolutely SCREAMING! I need to knowwww!!

I’m starting to think that I’m not a fan of Insta love. I felt like their relationship was super rushed there at the beginning. But I did start to enjoy it more in the last half because they slowed down a little bit and that’s when the drama started getting more interesting. I loved the concept of this book and will be picking up the next one to figure out what happens next because it did leave off on a bit of a cliffhanger. I was reading through it and then all of a sudden it ended and I’m like no it cannot stop there.

I love both characters but I feel like a little more bickering back and forth or flirting in the beginning would have made this a five star review for me. I would have loved it to see more of a back story on Kira like we did on Eoghan. It feels like there were some missing pieces that still need to be revealed on her behalf.

Over all I thought this was very enjoyable. I will be looking in to her other books because they seem to tie together to each other and I want to see what that’s about. So I’m excited to dive her to get back list and she what she comes up with in the future.

5 STARS for Iron Blade by Molly Briar

I wish I could rate this more than five stars as Iron Blade kept me enthralled from the very first Chapter. Ms Briar has such a way of drawing the reader in with an excellent storyline - characters and in this case we are also learning about the art / forgery world.

What this book has is :

Mafia Irish and Italian ( with warring families )
Main characters that are perfect yet imperfect for the other
Obsession , hatred , greed , betrayal , lies , deceit
Sizzling chemistry , passion and attraction that is off the charts

Black is the color of my true loves hair but bright flaming red is the color of their twisted love affair. Kira and Eoghan are caught up in a mad obsessive relationship ! Can’t wait to see what happens next !

Loved it ! I knew Kira and Eoghan’s book was going to be epic and it certainly is ! A favorite read for me this year !
