I should hate her. Instead, all I want is to make her MINE.

AMBER: To catch my twin sister’s killer, I have to join an expedition to another planet and pretend to be her. My thirst for revenge drives me through the alien wildlands, where I home in on my prey.
The alien planet’s strange beauty is getting to me more with every passing day. Stranger yet, I’m becoming more comfortable pretending my sister’s life is mine.
Things become even more complicated by the arrival of another barbarian leader and my attraction to him is instant. When he offers to take the group harboring Dawn’s killer back to the portal, I know I need to join him. Now I just have to figure out how to bring a killer down and resist my growing desire for this alien khadahr.

Ever since the majority of our females died during a tragic cave collapse caused by the damned humans, I’ve hated them. Now, they might just be our only answer to saving my species. When word reaches me that one of my fellow khadahrs has dared the unthinkable and invited human females to Vandruk, I have to see them for myself.
The moment I lay eyes on Dawn, I know two the name doesn’t suit her, and I’m irrevocably drawn to her. She is daring and brave, beautiful and determined. I have to make her mine despite all the mysteries surrounding her. Then again, I’ve never shied from a challenge.

Dzur-Khan Bella Blair Serie Alien Barbarians of Vandruk libro 2

Argumento:

First off, I love this new series. Book 1 was awesome and this one is just as good, if not better in some ways. The things we find out in this book are revelations and answer so many of my questions. Amber is worried about her sister Dawn who is about to go on an expedition to Vandruk. Amber had been in Navy Intelligence and can kick major behinds into next week. Lol. You definitely need to read book 1 before this one. Stop here if you haven’t.

Amber finds her sister had bitten off more than she could chew as she was going to whistle blow. Being twins, Amber takes Dawn’s place on the expedition to find out who killed her sister, plus, from everything she knows, she’d like to see Vandruk. It is Dzur-Khan’s turn to watch over the red fog, aka the Portal to Earth. As Khadar, he wants to find a mate to continue his line, as does every Khadar. He wasn’t sure that Tzar-Than was doing the right thing, by bringing human gallies as mates for their people. Dzur-Khan had already gone to the Temple City to get a mate. Do not let me go there. I was livid over what happened there. It looks like Vandruks aren’t that different from humans in some things. The fight scenes in this book are awesome. My goodness. I knew to put the AC on before even opening my kindle. Dzur-Khan and his two men, who had gone with Tzar-Than after the incident with the Queen Bees and Gwyn. So, it was the three of them who took the unit of fighters under Willis, the Queen Bees and the science team back towards the Portal. However, things did not go as planned. A lot happens and mayhem ensues, but Amber who is pretending to be Dawn, can handle herself. I found myself giggling over how she kicked those who attacked her into next week. I seem to be a bit blood thirsty while reading these books. Lol. I felt so bad for Amber because she lost Dawn and they hadn’t been able to reconcile. Seeing what the humans in charge were really up to made me livid and I wanted to hit something. The interactions between “Dawn” and Dzur-Khan are freaking steamy and hot. I love them, as well as the rest of those who are named in his ‘tribe’. I thought I didn’t like Willis in book 1, I had no idea. I can’t wait to find out what happens next, and Tzar-Than’s brother, Bzun-Lhan, is going to be a lot of trouble, since he wants all the humans dead.

Dzur-Khan is a science fiction, futuristic alien romance by Bella Blair. This is the second book of the Alien Barbarians of Vandruk series. While it could probably be read as a standalone book, I think that this would be best enjoyed reading the series in order.

The story is set in mostly non-descript future, with a bit of a dystopian vibe. Many years earlier a portal had opened and is now controlled by the government. Except the portal is a passage to an alien planet, populated by a humanoid species where the females had been killed in an accident caused by the portal. And so now the aliens need mates and a group of willing human females, along with some sketchy government people, are on Vandruk.

This story is a fun, where of mystery and the need for revenge pushes the heroine forward in her own story. Amber was never particularly close to her twin sister, but she would do anything to find the person responsible for her death, even if that means taking her sister's place as a scientist going to Vandruk. Amber appeared in the first book, and was a good friend to the heroine there.

Dzur-Khan is an alien tribal leader on Vandruk. He wants a mate. He wants children. He had been one of the men that hadn't exactly agreed with taking human women as their mates, but on meeting Amber, he starts to change her mind. Amber is a strong woman, beautiful and intelligent. Everything about her is attractive to him, but he knows that there is something else happening. Between the humans that they are escorting back to the portal and the clear antagonism between Amber and the other humans. There is much to unravel before these two can decide if they do indeed have a future.

Amber (h), a former Navy Intelligence officer, is out for vengeance after her sister Dawn is murdered under mysterious circumstances connected to an interplanetary mission. Amber pretends to be Dawn and goes in her place as part of a bride program where human women are sent to the alien planet Vandruk as potential mates for the Vandruk species, whose population is on the brink of extinction. On Vandruk, Amber meets Dzur-Khan (H), a leader struggling with the possible extinction of his people due to a lack of females, and his internal conflict about whether to accept human women as mates to save their race. Dzur-Khan is initially torn between the traditions of his people and the necessity of survival, but his growing connection with Amber changes everything. The two develop a deep connection as they navigate the challenges posed by both human and Vandruk forces, dealing with treacherous plots, power struggles, and complex cultural divides. Throughout the story, Amber proves her worth as she becomes a trusted ally and partner to Dzur-Khan. Her military background, intelligence, and resourcefulness help her survive and thrive in Vandruk’s harsh environment, earning her the respect of Dzur-Khan and the Vandruk warriors. As Amber and Dzur-Khan’s relationship deepens, they face increasing threats and dangers from the human side, even as Amber works to forge a new life for herself alongside Dzur-Khan. Great to see Gwyn and Tzar-Than again. Ultra-hot and steamy alien-human romance, exploring love, connection, intrigue, politics, revenge, transformation, partnership, survival, challenges, betrayals, resilience, and more.

When Amber finds out that her sister Dawn has been murdered, she is determined to find out who and why. As Dawn's identical twin she takes her place on the expedition to Vandruk knowing that at least one person there knows that she is not Dawn. Dzur-Khan is intrigued by Amber but doesn't entirely trust her. When he is tasked with returning the Queen Bees to the portal, the scientists decide to leave with them, as do the guards and Amber knows that this is her only chance to discover the truth. As Dzur-Khan spends time with her he realizes how strong, determined and brave Amber is and that her skills make her perfect for him. As more secrets and lies are revealed the devastating truth of what the humans plan to do start to come to light and Amber will do whatever it takes to help the Vandruks in their battle with the humans and the potential civil war that is looming on the horizon. This series has everything you need. Great characters and story, strong women who are determined to stand up for themselves and others, a lot of heat and steam, action, drama and suspense. I am loving it and can't wait for the next in this series.

Searching for the Truth . . .

Amber, a strong and capable woman, is determined to find out who murdered her twin sister Dawn. Dzur-Khan is taking a group through the portal, so with Amber pretending to be her sister, she joins the group going to Vandruk to begin her investigation, aware that the killer who will be among the group will immediately realize she is an imposter, putting her in greater danger. Dzur-Khan hates humans but recognizes that “Dawn” is not like other females, strong, relentless, and fearless -- and she intrigues him. Will she find her sister’s killer before the killer gets to her first? Will she and Dzur-Khan fight together when the source of all the secrets, treachery, and lies is finally discovered?

The story is well-written and will hold the reader’s attention throughout as the facts unfold and the tension rises. I thoroughly enjoyed the main characters and their growing respect for each other. Grab your exciting copy and enjoy the action and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

“…it doesn’t matter how we die. It matters how we live.

Dzur-Khan was introduced in the previous book. A strong leader conflicted between holding on to how things have been, despite struggles, and embracing a new way of living - that thus far is unproven, yet offers hope.

Dawn’s entire life has been leading to this scientific mission… but there’s a chance her twin sister Amber, while her opposite in every way, is an equally perfect fit for the job.

In the previous book we got to know the scientists on the mission, in this one we find out which twin is doing the job, and why.

This done in one kindle unlimited book has some really good characters, just the right amount of whodunnit and why, a female lead with a good head on her shoulders and a male lead willing to question and challenge his own beliefs for the good of his people.

Near the end we meet some more characters, one of which will lead the next book, and this story has enough breadcrumbs about what the next book will be about to have me wishing I could turn the page and read it now.

DZUR-KHAN is the second story in the Alien Barbarians of Vandruk series. I absolutely LOVED reading DZUR-KHAN by Author Bella Blair. Author Bella Blair continues to take me by surprise with her amazing storytelling and writing skills. In my honest opinion, Bella Blair is a phenomenal author who writes amazing alien romance stories. DZUR-KHAN has a captivating plot, spectacular characters and a mind-blowing outcome for the main characters. DZUR-KHAN follows the narrative of Amber and Dzur-Khan who are phenomenally written and amazingly executed throughout the book. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these two main characters as well as witnessing their love unfold throughout the book. DZUR-KHAN is definitely a book which I would give as a recommendation to anyone who enjoys reading alien romance stories. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing romance stories by Bella Blair. I absolutely love that Amber and Dzur-Khan have a happily ever after to their love story.

There were a lot of things I really liked about this book. I really liked the FMC and how she did what she wanted. I liked that she was the one who initiated cause she wanted to and nothing else. She didn't have to be seduced, girl saw a hit alien and decided she wanted to ride him. There were a few things that I struggle with. The big one is this book feels like a sequel to the point that it can barely be read as a stand alone. We see the conclusion of the first book and I feel like I was missing a lot of character development. We were told that this person became the FMCs friend but we never really saw their friendship. I also struggled to keep track of all the characters names and their relationships. I also wasn't a fan of how many times they referenced their first time together. Our MMC could not stop talking about it to the point it started to get weird. Overall not a bad read but I felt like it was missing something.

Bella Blair has done it again with Book Two of Alien Barbarians of Vandruk. I am totally hooked on this series. Dzur-Khan delivers everything described in the blurb and more. We start with a mystery of who killed Amber’s sister, and we quickly find out that she is one kickass heroine.

Amber’s previous job in Naval Intelligence has more than prepared her for the rigors of her mission. What she wasn’t prepared for was intense attraction to Dzur-Khan. She quickly finds out that the feeling is mutual and an impulsive sexual encounter. The story is gritty, steamy and fascinating. I could hardly put the book down, and I am looking forward to reading the next entry into the series. The writing, the world-building, and the characters were all wonderful. What a ride!.

“Dzur-Khan Book Two”by Bella Blair crafts a fast-paced sci-fi romance that’s easy to enjoy even if you haven’t read Book One. The heroine, a former Naval Intelligence officer, brings a mix of competence and grit as she navigates the mystery behind her sister’s death. Her connection with the alien hero is instant and electric, and their mutual respect shows as they teach each other their languages. While the punishment for a would-be murderer felt too light, the growing tension between alien priests and the human-alien romances promises more drama. The descriptions of the alien world are detailed and the alien names are different and unique. The book has romance, spice, and strong character dynamics making it an interesting but sometimes difficult read.

This is the second book in another fantastic series by this author. It starts with Amber taking her sister's place in the party crossing into Vandruk for a year. She is a highly practical, capable, strong female lead and as such a great character. Her interactions with the Vandruks and in particular Dzur-Khan are entertaining and quick witted.

Dzur-Khan wanted to see the human females for himself. What he didn't expect was to be so strongly and immediately attracted to one of them.

The group of soldiers sent to keep the women safe turn out to be a major problem.

This is a truly enjoyable, fast paced, action packed alien romance with plot twists, surprise happenings, action and so much passion. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Dzur-Khan and Amber. Omg I love this series! I didn't think she could top Tzar-Than but she did! This book is action from the word go and it doesn't stop. Amber may just be my favorite female character of all time. She is tough, smart, kind and a total BA! Dzur-Khan is what a leader should be. He starts out mostly against mating with humans but his eyes are opened after a visit to the Temple. He isn't afraid to learn and when he meets Amber learn he does. This book has amazing characters...good and bad. The world building is impeccable. And the story is so incredibly good. I haven't read many Bella Blair books in the past but that is going to change, she's a wonderful writer who brings you deep into the story and keeps you there. 5 stars isn't near enough!

This is the second book in the series and you don’t need to have read the first one to understand what is going on in this one.
If you have read the first one, the beginning chapters go over events from Dzur-Khan’s perspective, so it does seem to star just a little slower than the first one.
But once the couple meet up the pace definitely picks up and it is fabulous. I love Amber! She is a total bad@ss and is there to take care of business. And I love how Dzur-Khan loves that about her. He doesn’t try to change her but accepts all this about her and just stands behind her to make sure she is protected.
Absolutely fabulous and can’t wait for the next one!
Yes there are steamy scenes to spice things up. I did receive this as an ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest opinion.

This book is packed with even more action than the first one, and it really builds on the plot introduced earlier. While it can be enjoyed on its own, I think reading the first book adds a lot to the experience!

The female main character was such a delightful surprise! She’s completely different from the one we met before—much more interesting, brave, and just plain awesome. It’s no wonder the male main character is totally smitten with her!

I really loved the story and can’t wait for the next book in the series!.

DZUR-KHAN is the second book in this alien warrior romance series and an excellent addition that has the next couple, Khadahr Dzur-Khan and Amber burning up the pages.
Amber joined the group that entered the portal in the guise of her murdered twin sister Dawn, determined to discover who on the team had taken her life right before the journey to Vandruk.
Another excellent adventure with more detailed world building, captivating writing, intrigue, danger, mystery, and passion that delivered a fast paced dynamite of a read!.

This is the second installment in the Alien Barbarians of Vandruk and it did not disappoint. It follows Dzur-Khan from Vandruk and Amber a human female from Earth who has a backround in Naval intelligence. When her identical twin Dawn is killed after calling her and asking her about possible military involvement on Vandruk Amber takes her place and goes to Vandruk in the hopes of finding Dawns killer and getting revenge. What she doesn't expect however is the intense attraction between her and the Vandruk leader named Dzur-Khan. This storyline kept me thoroughly engrossed and I highly recommend you check it out.

More Intrigue at One Hope!!

I do love an overlapping story. This is the second in the series, and there is a bit of overlap with the focus on new characters, and we find out all is not quite what it seems in story #1. Cool!

We still have an alien race facing extinction. A possible cure is human women. There is an undercurrent of danger from the security forces sent to keep the women “safe”. Delicious, strong, sexy, alpha, aliens, and determined women. Undeniable chemistry, great world-building, relatable characters and all those things which makes a wonderful story.

Loved it!
When Amber, Dawn's sister, decided to take her twin's place on the excursion to Vandruck, she never intended to fall for the second khadahr she met. She did, however, have every intention of finding her sister's murderer and squelching whatever bad intentions the humans may have had towards Vandruck's people. As a former Navy intelligence officer, she's just the one for the mission. She's also one heck of a surprise for Dzur-Khan. Keeping an open mind on human gallies, he never expected a female warrior. These two are perfect for each other. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

This second book of The Alien barbarians of Vandruk rised above my expectations!
While each book is about a couple they share the storyline that's is multilayered, often complex and so addictive with a dash of suspense, of secrets and deception lurking in the shadows.
With a good world building and development of the characters, kept me so enthralled in the plot until the perfect ending....for now.
Highly recomend this series!.

Switcheroo.

What a great story! This one builds on book 1 but is from perspective of Amber and Dzur Khan. The brief overview of the situation on this world and highlights from book 1 would make it easy to read this novel as a stand alone. Amber really is an interesting woman of so many…..skills. Lots of action with many details addressed and some actually resolved made this a satisfying read for me. Hints at yet another couple makes me smile as another story is on the horizon!.

I love this series! This book was so much better than the first one, which had little too much highschool girl drama to my taste. But a bada$$ soldier unaliving enemies on an alien planet and holding her own even when facing a hot alien warlord? Yes, please!
I loved how respectful Dzur-Khan was to her skills and wants. I was worried it would be another of those "you're a woman so you're weak and useless" books, but it was not that at all.
Amber was amazing and they worked really well as a power couple. I can't wait for the next book.

This is Dzur-Khan and Amber's story. This book tells us more of the overall story line. This is a very interesting action packed story with lots of heat and steam. Amber shows the Vandruk that women can be warriors too. I can't wait to read the next book. The story of the next two charcters should be very entertaining and I'm very interested in reading just what the priest have been up to. I highly recommend you read this book and the others in the series.

I am absolutely hooked on this series-it keeps getting better. The second book is Dzur-Khan and Amber’s chaotic love journey. As a reader, you are thrust into the action from get go and the world building is fantastic. Loved the grit, intelligence and determination of Amber. This book is intense and very dramatic. The plot will keep you hooked till the end of the story. To catch her twin sister's killer, Amber pretends to be her on an expedition to planet Vandruk. Dzur-Khan wants to save his people from extinction since their females have died. So when other khadahrs bring human women as their mates to Vandruk, Dzur-Khan begins to investigate for himself. The plot has several twists I didn't see coming, but it made the book better. Excellent book!

The characters are fascinating and so well-developed. The world details invoke clear images with intriguing insights into human and alien cultures. Another great Vandruk book. This time Dawn turns out to be her twin sister Amber who was Navy Intelligence. Dzur-Khan falls for her while taking the Queen Bees back to the portal. One of them, Lexi, turns out to be the mate of one of his men. Amber finally finds out why her sister was killed. Highly entertaining and a must-read.

☆Alien romance♡

I'm loving this series so far! Bella is a great author, and I'm always looking forward to diving into her stories. The worlds and the characters created are amazing every time! Amber is a strong FMC and knows what she wants. She's trying to find out who killed her twin sister. She meets Dzur-Khan, and the romance followed up soon after. I really enjoyed reading this and can't wait for the next book!

This story continues on from book 1 but with the focus on a different main couple. I was engrossed in the story as there was a huge plot twist right at the beginning (if you follow from book 1), and with a murder mystery thrown in as well. There was a lot of action and the relationship between the two main characters was spicy. Looking forward to book 3.
