Lyra Atlas was born in Oakland to an English mother and Scottish dad who passed on to her their fascination with the Arthurian Legends and other tales of famous kings and queens. Unsurprisingly, Lyra developed a penchant for court love and everything that’s magical and mystical—and this seeps into her writing. Her stories often feature powerful alphas braved by quietly seductive females and other unexpected, inspiring heroines.

Lyra lives with her partner Mark in San Diego, and cherishes their daily strolls along the Strand. So far, all the books in this series are a copy/rinse/repeat. They all follow pretty much the same plot. Angry male kidnaps h and forces her to marry him. He’s angry at her and treats her badly. Over time, h changes him. H realizes he’s been wrong about everything.
The books are alright for a quick shifter read but I wouldn’t expect to be blown away. 🤷‍♀️

This was an enjoyable enemy to lover story the fourth in this enjoyable series. This story is about Jasper the alpha from a new pack called the Dark Moon he formed after leaving his previous pack who kidnaps April from Sparkle Hollow pack. She first sees her fated mate Jasper when he was kidnapping Madi for the Moonstone pack. A year later, April is in town standing outside the bridal shop when she gets kidnapped. This starts their entertaining story. Both were flawed and likable characters that found themselves in this shifter story. Their romance was steamy, and their drama kept me engaged in this copy I'd volunteer to read and review.

3.75 ⭐️ not my fave shifter book i’ve read. i really didn’t like jasper in the beginning but as the story progressed you find out the trauma of why he is the way he is. after everything he put april through i wanted more backbone from her. it felt a bit instalovey, she should have given him hell for how he treated her. i did enjoy the other aspects of the packs though.

April is kidnapped by the violent alpha of the Dark Moon Pack who had previously rejected her. His intent is to incite conflict because he mated her cruelly. However April begins earning the respect of members of his pack and Jasper begins questioning his intent.

Seeing this story unfold was a joy. Finding love in the most unlikely manner. Showing how love can change people when given the opportunity.
