Witness Protection
The only way Liz and Jen, marked women, will ever find peace is if they can find a way to literally disappear off the face of the Earth. And by some strange coincidence, and a set of clues that lead them to a secret extraterrestrial coverup, that’s what they end up doing. Follow their adventures into a strange and quirky alien world where they achieve planet-wide stardom, and stumble upon a message from the future and a threat not just to humankind, but the entire universe.
WITNESS PROTECTION is a tale of karaoke, spiders, uncomfortably sweaty places, and cheese and onion crisps paired with the odd tipple. The story follows a couple of regular folks who’d honestly prefer to be sat gossiping in front of the telly over a few bottles of bubbly, as they’re dropped into a heavily science fiction storyline. Mildly humorous in nature, it should appeal to fans of the more light-hearted side of the genre.

Too much drinking but mostly quite ok
The boozing bothering me may be a personal issue - and to be fair, it was stated in the intro. Mostly quite an intriguing story, though the utopia is a bit too easy and perfect - I mean, such a smooth ride reads a tad boring. However, will surely read the sequel; gotta know if we're saved or not!

Absolutely loved it. A proper near-future sci-fi book that should appeal to fans of Stargate, The Orville, and AbFab!
