This was a quick 103 page novella by Ms. Maven..

This one was a bit different from her other reads that I love.. In this one, the male is the the human or rather half human-radian breed. And the female is the full blooded alien.

It was a suspenseful read throughout the entire story, with splashes of erotic couplings and semi-poignant revelations.

The driver of this tale is prejudice, racism and oppression. And how love and our true destiny is often found in the most unexpected of places, with the worst timing ever. But how it is important that we follow our hearts, our guts, and to trust the process. No matter how difficult that may be for us to do at the time.

I liked Zanner (Prisoner 032) and Taki was sweet as well. No matter that she was a privileged princess on the surface, she had grit and a strong sense of survival, which served her and Zanner well here.

Zanner's story will break your heart and make you angry on his behalf. It also makes you so proud of him at how well he has survived this life, without letting his moral code fade away in the process.

I loved their ending and how things turned out for them. I wouldn't mind seeing how all the other things that were set to be addressed, later, actually turns out overall..

I would recommend this quick read.

Argumento:

La encuentro magullada y maltrecha entre los escombros de una cápsula de escape. Su especie me odia por lo que soy y, aunque ella no tuvo nada que ver con enviarme a este planeta, mi corazón se ha endurecido para todo lo que no sea la supervivencia.

Los monstruos de este planeta la devorarán y la escupirán en pedazos. Y yo, el prisionero 032 del planeta prisión Xal, podría ser el peor monstruo de todos. Pero el destino y nuestros cuerpos tienen otros planes. Y ahora, para mantenerla a salvo, arriesgaré todo... incluso mi propia vida.



Mi humilde opinión:.

Saved by the Prisoner es una lectura rápida en un planeta prisión con una historia de amor entre un hombre y una mujer alienígena.

Zanner y Taki no podían ser más distintos, ella proviene de una familia privilegiada y él es un prisionero sentenciado por un crimen que no cometió. Cuando ella accidentalmente cae en un planeta de prisioneros peligrosos, él la rescata a pesar de que es una especie que odia pero después comienza a ver que Taki no es la princesa consentida que pensó. Amé la pareja, él es gruñón pero protector, ella un rayo de sol, disfruté todo el desarrollo de la relación de estos dos, si bien son pocos capítulos y me hubiera gustado más, se nota el cambio de corazón de Zanner al no poder resistirse a la dulzura de Taki. Una vez que ella lo elige como su compañero las cosas se ponen alienígenamente picantes.

La historia tiene aventura y acción, me gusta mucho cuando el escenario es un planeta prisión y los protagonistas tienen que ayudarse para sobrevivir y este tenía todos los condimentos para quedarme enganchada.

Me hubiera gustado ver un poco más de Zanner adaptándose a su nueva vida en el planeta de Taki. Me dio pena lo abrumado que estaba cuando le concedieron el perdón y luego encontrarse con una especie que lo ve como inferior pero tenían que aceptarlo porque era el compañero de Taki.

Ojalá continúe la serie, hay más prisioneros inocentes atrapados en Xal, el amigo de Zanner era uno.

Captivating and heartwarming

I recently had the pleasure of reading
Saved by the prisoner: An alien prison planet, romance, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The author's ability to explain everything clearly once the story delved into exile was particularly impressive. While the beginning may have contained some unfamiliar verbiage, it only added to the intrigue of the narrative, making it all the more captivating.

One aspect of the book that truly stood out to me was the connection between the two main characters and the prisoner whom the protagonist encounters. The prisoner's unwavering strength and his dedication to protecting the protagonist were truly remarkable. His willingness to sacrifice everything for her safety was both heartwarming and awe-inspiring, adding a layer of depth to the story that I found incredibly moving.

Overall, I found saved by the prisoner an alien prison planet Romance, to be an excellent read. The intricate relationship dynamics, the characters' development, and the captivating storyline all came together seamlessly, creating a truly engaging and memorable book. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a compelling and well-crafted story that keeps you hooked until the very end.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it and would eagerly look forward to reading more works by this talented author in the future.

This book takes a look at a prison planet. I appreciated being reminded of the problematic nature of putting people in prison and forgetting about them, and the seeming inevitability of corruption. From the MFC’s point of view,

“You curse a lot.”
His eyes bugged out. “Live my life for just one hour, princess, and you won’t know anything but a curse.”

Often prison turns people into, or underscores, the criminal they were accused of being, encouraging the legacy of violence to go on rather than actually putting a stop to anything.

I also liked that hybrid people are addressed. I love alien abduction romances as much as the next girl but I do wonder about all their hybrid kids. Are there signs in the alien culture that they will be accepting of these offspring that are only half the alien species? Humans normally handle difference in the most atrocious manner.

I really loved the premise of this book. It's so common to see alien romance where the FMC is human and the MMC is a big, strapping alien, and this story flips this idea on its head by making the FMC the alien (of a species apparently smaller than humans) and the MMC is the big strapping one because of his human ancestry. I also enjoyed these characters, who kept my interest despite this being a fairly common romance trope (FMC is stranded on prison planet protected by prisoner MMC). I think my only complaint is that the story ended fairly abruptly for me - it felt like the author was laying groundwork for more plot points but then the story just ended. Still, overall I very much enjoyed this story.

Interesting

In that the FMC is alien,and markedly so,and that kind of irritated me because she is repeatedly described as brown,and brown is not a color typically found in sci Fi romancelandia FMCs,and one of the few times (this book) she had 4 boobs,an uncommon vag and suction toes,and a rando prisoner mate. But she's filthy rich,and her dad is a good guy,and there is some recognizing of her benefiting from privilege,so it's a unusual. This may be my least favorite EM book,but an HEA will smooth over some dissatisfaction with me.

Who doesn’t love a standalone prison planet alien romance? And SHE was the alien? Lovely.

She is privileged and he was wrongly sentenced. It was formulaic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.


Alien. Virgin FMC. Alien vagina. 4 breasts. Mating. Fated mates. Forbidden relationship. Half human MMC. No OWD. Slight OMD (her fiancée betrays her). No cheating (between MCs). No breakup.
Epilogue with them safe and accepted on her home planet.

Nail biting!

I was on tender hooks whilst reading this book, constantly worrying about imminent capture by the bullies. It was nail biting! I liked the characters, the fated mates trope, and the suspense! A really enjoyable read….I liked it so much I want more. The ending left a few things yet to be resolved so I’m hoping there’s more to come in a follow - up book. Well done, Ella! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Novella that is a great fast read

This novella had a twist from the usual SFR plots the alien was the female Taki and the male, Zanner was only half human. Interesting and refreshing.

Seemed Familiar

This was a nice quick read with an enjoyable HEA. MMC was half human. MFC was very alien with an odd physiology and four breasts. That part really bothered me, but mating worked between the two species.
