Este bărbatul care le-a fost alături celor patru nepoți ai săi: Mason, Leo, Roman și Luke în tot ceea ce și-au propus și a luptat alături de ei indiferent de consecințe, dar mai ales a fost figura paternă pe care nu au avut-o, chiar dacă nu este cu mult mai în vârstă decât ei. Ultimul lor război cu familia conducătoare a mafie italienei, conduse de nemilosul Toni Carcetti, o aduce în viața lui Jake pe tânăra Antonia - Nia Carcetti.
👑Nia este o tânără retrasă, o tânără supusă, care nu vrea să iasă în evidență, care a suferit nespus în casa tatălui său și pentru care o invitație la masa este oportunitatea perfectă de a-și pune în aplicare planul de a pleca cât mai departe de tatăl său și de tot ce însemna mafie. Numai că întâlnirea nevinovată cu tânărul și fermecătorul Gris, are un alt substrat și o duce direct în brațele inamicului.
👑Jake o răpește, ca să zic așa, pe Nia, și speră să obțină de la ea informații care îl va ajuta să-l distrugă pe tatăl ei. Dar socoteala de acasă nu prea se potrivește cu cea din târg, așa cum zice o zicală autohtonă, și Jake este fermecat de frumoasa Nia, ea răscolind atâtea în sufletul lui, și după ce petrece timp cu ea, descoperă că este femeia care îi face inimă de piatră să bată pentru prima dată, dar mai ales află ca ea nu se ceea ce pare, având la rândul ei multe secrete, care o dată dezvăluite, vor schimbata cursul evenimentelor.
👑Cei doi se văd prinși într-o mare de secrete, traume ale trecutului, familiile lor care se războiesc de atât vreme, dar mai ales într-o mare de sentimente și atracție intensă.
👑Ce ascunde Nia și cum va reacționa Jake la aflarea secretelor ei? Cum va gestiona Jake sentimentele pe care Nia le trezește în el? Ce va spune restul familiei Kincaid când vor afla adevărul despre Nia? Ce va face Toni, va acționa împotriva dușmanilor săi? Cum îi suprinde Nia pe ceilalți Kincaid? Răspunsul la toate întrebările, dar și deznodământul poveștii, le veți afla voi.

Nia a fost un personaj surprinzător, care sub masca de femeie timidă și supusă, ascunde o femeie puternică, care știe ce vrea, și care luptă cu toate forțele pentru a obține locul care i se cuvine. Jake a fost pus efectiv la pământ de uraganul Nia, care din momentul în care a intrat în viata lui a schimbat tot cursul ei. Mi-a plăcut latura lui protectoare față de Nia, mi-a plăcut cum a apărat-o împotriva băieților, mi-a plăcut cum a pus-o pe primul loc și cum a văzut mereu ce ascundeau ochii ei. Relația dintre cei cinci Kincaid este spumoasă, iar în momentul în care realizează valoarea Niei, o acceptă în viața lor. Eu mă opresc aici cu scrisul, vă recomand cu mare drag această serie și abia aștept să descopăr următoarea poveste, cea a lui Roman.

when the kidnapper falls for his captive…
Lots of swoon! I loved how the hero went from using the heroine to ready to burn the world down for her.
The heroine was wary and broken, hiding the wounds of abuse and betrayal, and it took a minute for her to trust the hero and what her heart was urging.
My only complaint was no real epilogue and no babies
Safe. Heros past is briefly mentioned, he was a
Manwhore but nothing explicit is given. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No ow/om, no cheating or sharing. Hea but no epilogue

I was so ready for Jake’s story! Heather always had such a tough exterior and I loved how we get to see a whole new side of him.
Oh Nia, my heart broken for her and the trauma she went through. She was so strong and brave and feisty. I especially love a certain scene on a plane where we really see how smart and fierce she is.
Jake and Nia were forced together (well, ok there is a little kidn@pping involved) but I loved the tension between them!! They have wild chemistry together and it was so much fun to see their relationship grow and develop. Jake was willing to do anything to protect her and I loved how she slowly started to open up to the idea of trusting him.
Be sure and read the epilogue! At the end we get not only a sneak peak into the next book King of Ruin but also we are going to see more of the Duke’s in 2025!!

this book was icky. the FMC calling the MMC daddy was weird and forced. every other chapter the MMC calls himself an “old gangster” but nothing about him screams “gangster.” i skipped through the sex scenes after the first half of the book bc they’re cringeworthy and i truly didn’t care to read that filth.

Jake Kincaid has a plan to help his family – kidnap Antonia Carcetti & ransom her to her doting father after learning all of her secrets. However what he didn’t know was that Nia was planning er own escape
The third book in this brilliant series & whilst it could be read on its own, when a series is this good I’d recommend reading from the start. I must mention that this series is the author’s first writing this genre & she’s taken to it like a duck to water. I loved both Jake & Nia, the chemistry between them was electric but they also had a connection from the start & this quickly deepened & Jake realises that he’ll do anything to protect Nia & that his plan needs to be drastically changed. Nia has led a very sheltered life but is intelligent & has a backbone of steel. I loved their journey to a HEA which was going well until a text, of all things, nearly derailed it. A very well written, engrossing book that was tender as well as steamy with drama & action.

Tammy!! I held off reading this one for so long because everyone in your books is like Jake is super old. Even when I started reading it he’s like I’m an old school gangstah, old cranky man, etc….. he’s 35! WTH?! lol now I feel old by proxy. 😅 I would have read this sooner if I knew that… I thought you were gonna be trying to serve us some 50 yr old man. Glad I was wrong but also slightly offended. 🤣

Couldn’t put this one down! So, so good! I love Nia’s fire and innocence, her steel and her weaknesses. She’s so human and she has it all. Jake is old school and it’s going to take a lot to bring him to his knees. Wonderful story!! I can’t wait for the next one!

Another great read! I love Nia's fire. She never was a victim but a survivor. She always was fire and brimstone. She just needed someone who could bring it out of her. Someone who would defend and love her. Someone who wasn't afraid to be burned. I look forward to watching Nia rise as a queen.

The third story in the Lords of Las Vegas, Jake Kincaid the uncle and patriarch of the powerful Kincaid family of Las Vegas and Nia Carcetti, an enemies to lovers story. I found their story to hold my interest and kept me turning, it is well worth reading.I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Everyone thinks that Nia's mother's death was an accident, but Nia knows the awful truth. Because Nia was there when it happened. She also knows the reason her mother was murdered. Now her father plans to get rid of her... by selling her into a marriage to a man she has never met to not only send her to the other side of the world where he doesn't have to look at her, but to cover all his debt.
But her weekly get-together at her dad's casino with her sister and her friends had given Nia the opportunity to escape her father and start a new life away from the mafia.
Only she had been played. She wasn't the only one who hated her dad and she was being used as bait.
I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book has it's own HEA this series is intended to be read in order as it revolves around the Kincaids and their goal to get vengence against Toni Carcetti.

Nope!
I thought I was going to like this one. Jake seems like a grumpy, hot, older (they keep saying this but he’s only 35) guy, who’s going to fall for the 15year younger Nia. Pure, sweet Nia who acts like a naive ninny part of the time and like a cold, vixen part of the time. Then towards the end, mafia queen comes out strong. Nia makes no sense. I wanted to like this book. But it was just wrong. I couldn’t get into these two together, less so than all the other couples so far in the Dukes and Kings books.
Jake kidnaps Nia which starts this off rough. Oddly enough I could’ve been ok with it and I guess I was for the most part since the guys are always so “we don’t hurt women, ever.” But the high tech house in the middle of nowhere where they’re sharing one bedroom, I mean🙄 seriously!?
And the whole snake in the shower where suddenly Nia loses all inhibitions about her nudity. It was just so “bad romcom.” Especially if the snake was harmless, yet Jake killed it.
Then there’s the whole tortured princess act she puts on at times and I get it, her “dad” beats her, but she doesn’t want to tell Jake. I just didn’t get her reluctance to part with things that didn’t seem so secret and weren’t all that damning for her anyway. It was so dramatic and when she tells the secrets it was just a big letdown. Like, that’s it? Who cares!
And her stupid “escape” from Jake plan where she can’t even drive a car in an empty desert! Why they gave Jake a little girl with daddy issues - don’t get me started on how she starts calling Jake “Daddy” and of course he like it.🙄🙄🙄 can my eyes roll any further back at this point? But I just wanted better for Jake. And in the end they try to make like Nia’s some genius mafia queen, and the character just doesn’t fit with all she’s been doing in this week she’s been with Jake.
And then there was a gross moment where Jake is wondering if his brother is Nia’s bio dad. And ew!
And that comes up again later when Jake is telling his nephews that Toni wasn’t Nia’s real father and they think for a second that she’s their sister and this is AFTER watching Jake make out with her. Like really??!
So I’d say skip this one, you aren’t missing anything.

Each story in this series gets better, and once again, I was hooked from the first page. The plot immediately drew me in, with its secrets, behind-the-scenes drama, and high stakes. The suspense, intrigue, and thirst for revenge kept me on edge, and the uncertainty of what would happen next made it all the more thrilling.
If you’ve been following the series, you’re already familiar with the Kincaid men. Jake, the uncle in charge of security, is a ruthless but protective figure, someone I’d describe as having an old-school gangster vibe. Despite his tough exterior, he has a softer side, especially when it comes to protecting women.
Jake is driven by the need to avenge his brother’s murder, and his plan is to kidnap Nia, the mob boss’s youngest daughter, get close, gain her trust and uncover her father’s darkest secrets. But Nia, who is desperately trying to escape her father’s grip almost succeeds in fleeing, until Jake’s abduction derails her plans. Now she finds herself at the mercy of the Kincaid family.
Though the plan seemed foolproof, Nia is not what Jake expected. Sweet, innocent, and far removed from her father’s criminal world, she wants to be better than the life she was born into. With her knowledge of where the bodies are buried, it’s up to Jake to uncover the truth in addition to a secret Nia isn’t willing to share. Their tension is like a tightly wound spring, ready to snap with the slightest touch.
In previous books, Jake came off as cold and unfeeling, but Nia manages to break down his walls, revealing a softer side. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the love scenes are sizzling hot! The author did a fantastic job in her transformation of Jake and made it believable. The feelings he develops for Nia weren’t anything he experienced before and losing her was not an option.
This story of revenge is packed with action, unexpected twists, and a few surprises that will leave you reeling. Nia’s strength and cunning develop beautifully throughout the book, and she proves to be far more smart and devious than the Kincaids had imagined.
Though I don’t typically gravitate toward mob-themed stories (historical romances are my go-to), Tammy Andresen is definitely changing my mind. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

She now has published three contemporary romance books, set in Las Vegas and dealing the the Kincaid family. These men have a firm hold on the city, who owns what, who owes them and who is trying to put them out of business! This author has manged to move into this new lane with each of these mafia book getting better and better!
King of Wrath is the story of Jake Kincaid and Nia Carcetti. Jake is the oldest Kincaid. Older and a lot wiser when it comes to their rivals. Jake was raised in the old time mob way of doing things; he is also a security and tech whiz. He’s taken on the job Leo had promised to do and that is to remove Toni Carcetti, the man resposible for the loss of several Kincaid family members. His idea, take the one thing all of Vegas knows, Carcetti’s daughter Antonia (Nia) is the apple of his eye! Or is she?
From page one until the last page in this book Andresen has given readers a story that keeps one sitting at the edge of their seat! The suspense begins and it runs throughout the story at a pace which makes one wonder who is in charge once Jake gets Nia out of Vegas. What he learns about her makes him rethink his actions, rethink what he thought he knew about Nia and build his hatred towards Toni Carcetti.
Add to this the almost immediate attraction between Jake and Nia. He might have fiftteen years on her age wise but that the heat, the steam, the spice that follows them around is one where you either need a fan or turn the A/C up because, boy that cabin has smoke coming out of the chimney on those 100 degree days in the desert.
None stop action, Jake thought changing his plan when he finds out what Nia’s life has been like. Nia knows her father’s weekness…will she help Jake and the rest of the Kincaid men? She is broken but holds her own when need be.
This Lords of Las Vegas series just keeps getting better and we haven’t seen much of the Smith brothers….but they have gone from sitting on the sidelines and are now on Jake Kincaids lists of men to watch! Five stars for this story!

King of Wrath (Lord's of Las Vegas #3) by Tammy Andresen is Jake's story. He is the uncle and the patriarch of the Kincaid clan. Still at war with Toni Carcetti, the Kincaid's come up with a plan to kidnap Toni's youngest daughter. They are hoping to gain some Intel from her that will help bring Toni down once and for all. Antonia, aka Nia, is the youngest daughter of Toni. She is a natural beauty who is a sheltered, pampered mafia princess. Her life isn't as glamorous as everyone is lead to believe. She has secrets, and all she wants to do is escape her gilded cage. You see, Toni is not her father. She saw Toni kill her mother. Toni has been physically abusing Nia, and he is planning on marrying her off for a substantial amount of cash, which will get him out of debt from the Kincaids. Jake, as he calls himself, is an OG, aka old-time gangster. All he wants is to get the information needed from Nia, keep his family safe, and start his own security business. Falling for a girl over a decade, his junior was not his plan. Yes, she is beautiful and sexy with the singing voice of an angel. What started out as a job for Jake turned into much more. For me, this story was not as enjoyable as the other books. I couldn't see how kidnapping Nia and getting information from her was going to solve their problem with Toni. However, the journey of Jake and Nia actually falling for each other was enjoyable. I give this story 3.5 stars

The perfect read to satisfy your all your mafia romance cravings! You get a plot to take down the psycho head of a rival family, a little mafia princess kidnapping, truths that turn feelings on a dime and force a jump from plan A to plan B, a woman who is far more valuable than anyone ever guessed, sooo much tension, and that age gap thing that turns hot into raging inferno. It's a little bit of that old school Vegas mafia vibe, with a mafia king who's ready to get out, a princess cunning enough to become queen, all the forced proximity, and an absolutely dynamite read!
I love the vibe of this read! Jake brings that old school vibe that reminds you of all the glitz and glamour of Vegas during the height of the mafia there and it is fantastic. It's in his mannerisms, the way he takes care of business, and how firm he is in the rules on who you can go after and it's the perfect match to Nia's need to feel safe and cared for. The plot is so great, it's all the devious mafia secrets and plans, but all that forced proximity gives it a whole lot of intimacy that is absolute fire and works so well between Nia and Jake. This is just a well plotted and executed read that is start to finish fabulous.

I can’t tell you how in love I am with this series. Each book in the Lords of Las Vegas series is more action packed, gut wrenching, and spice filled than the last and I am fully living for it.
Oh Jakey, where do I even begin with you.The toughest boy with the toughest heart and yet when it comes to Nia he is as soft as can be. Jake is willing to do absolutely anything to protect Nia, which of course is my favorite trait in a MMC, but on top of that, their chemistry is off the charts and I just loved reading about their relationship so much.
Nia was a character that my heart broke for over and over again. She has been through some of the most tragic things and yet she always found the grace and strength to keep going and persevere. The spice in this book, oh man its a hot one! I can’t tell you how many times I was blushing while reading this one!

Nia is from a family who works outside the law, and while society thinks she's her father's favorite, behind closed doors is a different story altogether. She knows her father's secrets, and just as she's about to leave her family behind, she's kidnapped by Jake Kincaid, from an even more powerful family than hers. She's not sure what's going on, but she's learning to trust Jake as she's very drawn to him, and while he was doing his best to get her to trust him as part of the plan, he finds he's drawn to her as well. The sparks are flying like crazy, but Jake is starting to feel guilty about the plan as she'll suffer greatly. They can't keep their hands off each other, and it doesn't take Jake long to figure out that he's going to keep this girl no matter what, but those who are after her aren't nice at all including her brutal father. Will he be able to keep her safe, and get her to stay with him? I LOVED every minute of this book with the heat, sweet, and suspense with twists coming in hot. I CANNOT WAIT for the next book in this new series and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Kincaid men have come up with a plan to take down Toni Carcetti and Uncle Jake is the man to take action. He kidnaps Nia while she was trying to escape her father's clutches. Nia's character is fierce but so innocent she has been kept close and her father had plans for her. uncle jake is an old school gangster with plans of his own, one was that he would never get married, but his softer side soon comes out for Nia. These two have an instant connection and it was fun to read, fast paced and steamy with some action and suspense. Nia truly comes into her own and becomes the Mafia Queen Jake needs. this series has been a great read so far and I can't wait for the next book. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

This is the third book in this impressive series, and this is Jake and Nia’s story.
Jake is cruel, cunning, and a ruthless billionaire, and when his family is crossed by another, he is out for vengeance. Nia is the youngest daughter in her family and is a pawn in her cruel, manipulative, and physically abusive father’s game. Nia is hiding dark secrets, and all she wants in to escape this life, until she is kidnapped by Jake, who is hoping to get intel from her about her father and his dealings.
This is a well written action packed story, with emotions, kidnapping, challenges, an age gap, enemies / lovers, forced proximity, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, revenge, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and captivating page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is the tale of Jake and Nia. Nia, the youngest daughter of Tony Corcetti, belongs to an Italian Mafia family. Her older sister is Jessie, who has seen their father murder their mother. Now, Nia is desperate to escape the abuse she has suffered at her father's hands. It is revealed that she is not actually Tony's biological daughter, and she bears a striking resemblance to her mother, who had an affair with Jake's brother and was murdered by the Corcettis. Nia is known for her beauty, but her skills as a negotiator are unexpectedly impressive. Jake constantly assures her that he will protect her with his life, yet she struggles to understand why anyone would want to protect her, and thus their story unfolds. Nia is torn, trying to discern whether she is being kidnapped or safeguarded by the Kincaid's, as Jake insists. Reading Uncle Jake's story was a satisfying experience.
