A real-life thread on an internet forum started it all. A nerdy otaku meets a girl on a train and posts an urgent query on the web--How the heck do you talk to girls? What should he wear on the date? Where should they go? The forum's response was amazing, and the thread grew incrementally longer as the nerd's relationship with the woman developed. Eventually published in book format to become a best seller, the thread spawned a blockbuster movie, a hit TV series, as well as this heartwarming manga adaptation of an entire internet community rooting for love and romance.

I loved this story. I've read several reviews about the dorama, that it is one of the best, it is so funny, etc. I thought it was overrated. And it is not! It is and and at the end I was a bit

I loved the thread and the virtual friends... awesome, hilarious characters!

One thing I did not like: there was no need for Densha to give up his otaku life. I don't like that he felt he needed to change, he being an otaku was part of his charm!.

Densha and Hermes' romance is really sweet, but the netizens are the heart of the story. No wonder there is a movie, a tv series, several mangas and books of this real-life story.

Ah, such a feel good boy meets girl love story!

I usually hate boy meets girl love stories. I prefer books where everyone dies in the end.

But this - I just couldn't help myself! Train Man and Hermess continue their relationship with the whole Internet community rooting them on. I was rooting for Train Man. Go, Train! You can do this!

Well, anyway, I had a soft spot for the geeky guy who gets a really smart chick.

I just don't like the idea of him letting go of all his otaku stuff. He really changed for someone but isn't it wrong to repress himself of his passion and interest? Isn't it better if Hermes accept him for his true self?

What an ending! The manga does not end with a sudden plot twist but ends as I expected, which is good. The story is simple yet wholesome. I, too, aspired to have a Hermes in my life. Someone who is a simple, sweet, and charming girl, but reality does not equate to fiction. Nonetheless, I felt kilig and joy as I rooted Densha-Otoko to pursue Hermes. Cheers to the boys who love so much!

Un chico un poco antisocial defiende a una chica de un borracho en un tren. Ella,muy agradecida, le envía un detalle muy especial. El protagonista, con la ayuda y apoyo de un grupo de usuarios de un foro, decide superarse y conseguir volver a ver a la chica de la que se ha enamorado. Parece el típico argumento de manga de romance pero esta historia, además de estar basado en una historia verdadera, es muy fresca y emotiva. El detalle de que él se apoye en gente que no conoce y que ellos sigan su historia, apoyándole...me encanta. Seremos un testigo más del principio y final de la historia.

I decided to read this after reading the derivative Chikan Otoko, which felt funnier and closer to the chan experience. This one is "cuter", and I'm not sure how I feel about the choral fellow channers being fully drawn in the panels, although they have their shining moments like the replication attempts in trains.

Artwork Hara sensei sangat menunjang sekali untuk menggambarkan novel manis ini. Denganpemilihan panel yang tepat dan penggambaran ekspresi tojkoh yang baik, pembaca serasa hanyut dan puas menikmati kisah cinta sederhana ini.
Overall 7.3/10 menurut saya.

I like how this series shows the positive things that can come out of interactions online. Not every person is toxic like some social media would lead you to believe; sometimes, even, you can make lasting friends who will cheer you on even though they’re far away. This actually sums up all the three volumes, it was about an Akiba boy who got all his courage (to date/confess to a girl) from his VIRTUAL "friends" and damn, even all of them just meeting at one thread made it sooo BIG than getting all personally meeting up. And yeah, I think it was about it and not him and the girl. LOL

Nice artwork. However, the poorly characterized female lead (we learn roughly two things about her in the entire book: she's pretty and likes tea) combined with an overall simple plot makes me wonder if I didn't accidentally end up reading a book from the teen section of the library.

A 3 volumes Manga! I couldn't add the other 2 as the books' search is going all weird on me again :P
Anyways, I really enjoyed this manga. A sweet love story that started in a train, grew through the help of cyber-friends and ended the right way.
I totally loved and admired the cyber-friends. How they reacted towards the story, their amazing and funny advice, how the story affected their lives and how they stood by the main character :)
