some serious continuity errors
While I love the plots and emotions in Luna’s books, many have continuity errors that drive me bonkers. In this book, Slate drops Grier off at her job early in the morning. They talk about 20 minutes after that and she decides to leave. She packs her stuff and hikes out to a local state park, something the book has made sound is a few hours of walking, max. As she’s leaving the campground, she hears Slate howl.
When we go back to Slate, he says to his friends she’s been gone about 1.5 hours (page 51). So maybe mid morning, maybe lunch time, but not after that.
Yet, when she’s still hiking (so somewhere in the page 40-49 range, if I’m guessing correctly), she indicates night has fallen while hiking out.
Is it lunch or is it dinner? These authors (this is a pen name for a duo) have taken all their books off Kindle Unlimited and they charge $3-4 for an 80-100 page long book. For that kind of price per page, I expect better editing. So since they’ve separated from KU, I *very* rarely read their stuff. They need to get a better editor or have beta readers focus on continuity, lower their prices, or raise the page count. At least 2 of those, tbh, to really help readership grow.
