A little about me; I am from Texas, born and raised. I have been writing since I was 10 years old. When I was younger I used to write fan fiction(hey b2klovesyou.com). My first book was published in 2017.
I write emotionally charged Black Romance/Women’s Fiction with a sprinkle of my real experiences added in. If I'm not writing, I'm reading, decorating my Kindles(it's an addiction) or spending time with my family.
Whewwww this story takes you through it and brings out all the emotions so make sure there are tissues nearby. The story is the saddest one read to date. The story between Theory and India shows the importance being present and telling people how you feel while there’s time. Loved the growth from Theory and the support India received from Ashley. Neema is really strong for going through that a young age.
I am literally sobbing at 1:30am after finishing this book! I love theory and Indy story. I don’t even wish it had a different ending! Neema was so strong to be 13!
Theory losses his only sister through suicide and that breaks his 13 year relationship with the love of his life Indy. They met and instantly hit off after Indy was stood up by her date whilst in college. They got married and build a nice life until tragedy struck Would they be able to reconcile or is it too late ?
Theme explored Loss , grief and a brief mention of suicide
I wasn’t prepared for how much this story would hurt, but it was such a beautiful story of love and forgiveness. If you need a good cry, this one has you covered.
I am sooooo impressed and simultaneously now crying at how beautiful this story was. I went in sort of blind and did not expect it to be so good. Highly recommend but also highly suggest considering the trigger warnings before reading.
This was short but sooo good the things you go through with grief and losing yourself through the process just when to think you can start again bam life happens…awesome read
I wasn’t expecting this book to end the way that it did and most definitely didn’t expect that it was going to have me deep in my feelings about to shed tears. India was supposed to meet a guy that she met online but he stood her up. Theory had seen her at the same bar a few times previously and he felt like that night was the night to approach her. They shared a kiss and then ended the night at Theory’s place which started their journey into a relationship, marriage, and parenthood. It was sad that Theory pushed Indy away when his sister unalived herself leading up to them divorcing. The love they shared even after divorcing was magical especially when a cancerous tumor was found on Indy’s brain. I almost cried tears when Neema told Indy that it was okay to go and then encouraged Theory to let Indy know it was okay to go🥹😭😭 Even though I wanted Indy to beat cancer, I like the way that she took her last breath with Theory and Neema in the bed hugging on her.

What can I say? This story took me back to memories of my aunt 🥺. I didn’t want to cry, but it was inevitable 😢.
Theory and Indy shared an amazing love—when it was good ❤️. Indy stood by Theory and fought hard for their marriage while he was dealing with a tragic loss 💔. Unfortunately, her efforts weren’t yielding the positive results she hoped for 😞.
In the end, Theory found his way back just in time to be there for Indy and their daughter, Neema 💞.
*3.5* (BRAE ‘25 option) I decided to read this novella last night and went in blind. I thought this would be a nice little romance novella, but this story was heartfelt and heartbreaking all at the same time.
The way this is my first read y this author... and I ran through soooooo many emotions. I was looking for something heavy-ish but not too deep. I love how this was short (novella?) but didn't miss a beat!
