This was exactly what I hoped it would be, a fun story that has heart.

Bud and Lou, the hyenas of Harley Quinn, take center stage in this title and find themselves framed for a crime they didn’t commit. They are forced to work with Ace the Bathound and Jumpa the kanga of Wonder Woman in order to get their freedom and Lou’s treasure.

There are lots of fun jokes in this the penguins in particular cracked me up. I could see young readers really enjoying this book.

The book was done by Ben Hed who is known for his Pixie and Brutus webcomic.

DC Comics provided an early galley for review.

This was a super-quick and super-fun read. The story does a great job introducing the various animal cast members and moves the plot along at a good pace. The personalities are varied with distinctive voices (this would make a fantastic animated film). The art style takes inspiration from animation as well, with colors that are more subdued and grounded.

This is an adventure that can be enjoyed by all-ages (both the young and the young at heart).

Short and sweet, and fun to boot. Harley's hyenas are drawn into solving a crime they most certainly did not commit (they commit crimes, but not this one, leave us alone, Ace), which takes them across Gotham to run a-fowl (bird pun) of some familiar faces.

The artwork's great, Ben Hed's webcomic style really shines through here, humanising the animals even when they don't have the most traditional of facial features. The story's simple to follow so it'll appeal to younger readers as well, but there's a nice big heart at the centre of it, even if it's surrounded by two laughing hyenas who just want to do crimes.

Harley's Haynes Bud and Lou get there time in the spotlight with this great graphic novel. This was a fun read from start to finish that had me chuckling. I like how Bud and Lou each had their own distinct personalities. also like that Bud and Lou are shown to be smart in their own ways. the artwork was great as well just what you would expect for the creator of the Pet Foolery comics.

Even though I was kindly given an advance reader copy by Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion, I liked the book so much that I will be purchasing a copy once it is published.

A graphic novel that follows Bud and Lou, Harley Quinn's hyenas, as they set out to try to help Ace, the Batdog, and Thumpa (Wonder Woman's kangaroo-like creature) try to find the Lasso of Truth.

I loved this! It was so fun, and the illustrations were great. The story was easy to follow, and even though it's "for" children/middle grades, I still really enjoyed reading it. I definitely would read more of their adventures if they happen!

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

As a lifelong Harley Quinn fan, Bud and Lou: Trouble Times Two completely stole my heart. Ben Hed perfectly captures the chaotic charm of Harley’s beloved hyenas, giving them distinct personalities and plenty of hilarious, heartfelt moments. The art is gorgeous, the writing is sharp, and the story strikes a perfect balance between fun and meaningful. It’s kid-friendly but never dull—adult fans will find just as much to love. I’d give it more stars if I could. Here’s hoping we get a sequel (or four)!

I loved that this was exactly what I hoped it would be as a fan of Ben Hed’s! DC is really starting to produce quality content for kids and as a comic fan, I love it! When Harley’s hyenas are framed for a crime they didn’t commit, they are forced to work with the super pets of Batman & Wonder Woman to clear their names. Fun story and superb art make this a quick delightful read.
**Thank you to Netgalley and DC for the opportunity to read this early!**

Recommended to me by a friend, a quick and fun read. The art style is very cute and kind of like a cross between the older 2D Disney style and the Harley Quinn tv show. About what you would expect plot wise but still enjoyable despite that. Graphic novels for kids are really hit and miss for me but the silliness of this one kept me from finding it too simplistic or overly childish. Penguin's penguins might actually have been my favorite.

This was such a fun take on the pet sidekicks from the DC Universe. In it, Harley's hyena duo are forced to team up with Batman's Ace and Wonder Woman's Jumpa to track down WW's missing Lasso of Truth. Along the way we run into Mr. Freeze's polar bears and the Penguin's penguins. Just so much fun! I'd love to read more adventures of Bud & Lou!

As a longtime fan of Pixie and Brutus, I was excited to get my hands on a copy of this book. Unfortunately, the artwork carries it. The story & dialogue are pretty run of the mill, even trite and flat at times. I will be keeping the book because I enjoyed the artwork so much, but will likely just stick with the author's shorter content in future.

Everyone has to read it. If you like Pet Foolery (Ben Hed's other comic), if you like animals, if you like DC Comics of any flavor or kind. It is hilarious and perfect.

Got this as an eARC via Netgalley.

Really fun and cute. The various pets all have distinctive voices, with the Penguin's penguins being particularly creepy. It's a simple, straightforward story, but there's enough personality on the page to keep even an adult reader engaged.
