Any Kind of Life

Rate this book
Their life together is a dream come true—but a nightmare is waiting to strike.

Paige’s life is the stuff of dreams. Now the support act for a breakthrough artist, she has it all. Except her touring schedule means long periods of separation from Juliet, and the beautiful life they’re creating together at home. Realising that she never signed up for nights alone without Juliet, Paige is beginning to question if the musician lifestyle is really what she wants.

Juliet couldn’t be prouder of Paige’s accomplishments, and The Hideout’s growing popularity keeps her busy every minute of the day. But the lonely nights without Paige by her side—and the social media frenzy surrounding her girlfriend—aren’t making it any easier. Yet she refuses to ask Paige to abandon her dreams to stick close to home. Besides, their passionate reunions make it all worth it. Almost.

In the grand scheme of things, the conflicts they face are nothing that can’t be resolved with a lot of love. But an unresolved threat from Juliet’s past is waiting for just the right moment to strike. And when it does, Paige and Juliet’s world could come crashing down around their feet…

This is part two of Paige and Juliet’s story from The Hideout.

Any Kind of Life is a beautiful story of unconditional support, healing, and resilience with tons of love. It’s emotional, powerful, and filled with well-developed, relatable characters who never shy away from the hard stuff. The way Paige and Juliet navigate their challenges and solidify their bond through communication, vulnerability, and honesty makes their story truly special. I love everything about this book! So grab your copy (after you read The Hideout), settle into your favorite reading spot, and enjoy this incredible love story.

We meet up with Paige and Juliet about a year after they've been together. The Hideout is doing great, and Paige has been accompanying a famous singer on tour. When she's asked to accompany her during her Great Britain tour.
Also at home The Hideout is getting an expansion. But Henry is still around guarding Juliet because of the threat on her life. So is Cara who they hired 8 months ago, she's really stepped up and they trust her. Or should they?
A beautiful continuation of Paige and Juliet's love story. Plus a mystery is solved! This is definitely a FAVORITE! 5 stars!

I love Juliet and Paige. I was so happy when I heard we were getting another book of them. They had already been through so much in the hideout, I was a little nervous to start this book. I’m so glad I did tho. The love they have for each other continued to show in this book but of course it’s not perfect. Paige was perfection ✨🤌🏽

It was so nice that we got to go back to Juliet and Paige!
Wow this was a ride!! That being said, it was so nice to see them get their HEA, but also to see the other two couples from the series make an appearance. A nice way to wrap up the series.

Written in third person with 2x POV’s. Age gap
Femme/Femme, Insecurities, Nursing her back to health. Narrated by KA Walsh. 5x Spicy Scenes.

An Intense and Beautiful Sequel!

Melissa Tereze has been on top of storytelling with love so deep it hurts. In this sequel to “The Hideout” get your box of tissues, settle in and absorb yourself in the next chapters of the lives of Juliet and Paige. (Reread the Hideout to refresh how they met and where they left off). Paige is now on tour as a supporting act for a popular singer who requested her to join the UK part of their tour. Juliet is home watching over their bar as it goes through a remodeling project. After fighting so hard to be together, being apart has taken some getting used to for both of them. Gossip and photos from the tour are getting to Juliet, her fears of being older and holding Paige back are surfacing. Paige who is enjoying herself, just wants to be home with Juliet. She is being pulled into drama on both sides. Just as they both were relaxing their fear of James reappearing ever again, a threat gets in and threatens the chance of their lives becoming what they dreamed of. As Paige and Juliet try to navigate through trauma and fear, the unraveling of their relationship and the love they have for each other has pulled them apart. As Juliet did for Paige when she was down, Paige needs to do the same for the women who has her heart but will Juliet let her. The supporting cast in this story are people we all need to have around us. This is a winner and Melissa just keeps killing it.

Any Kind of Life ❤️

Juliet and Paige have had quite a roller coaster of a life!

I loved them in the Hideout, which was quite a ride of its own. In this book, everything happens right away. And what I mean by that is that it was a page-turner from beginning to end. Seriously, what these two have been through in two books... they are absolutely perfect for each other. So much love between them❤️

Juliet and Paige first appeared in The Hideout. That was the first Melissa Tereze book I read. I loved it.
I was therefore eager to see how their story continued. This is also Hush Liverpool Book 4 and has a lot of shared characters etc - you should read them all.
Paige has been touring with her music. Juliet is expanding the bar.
There is uncertainty with the touring - Paige likes to be at home, Juliet also likes her to be at home, but also wants her to tour and succeed.
When you tour they talk about you in the press and online - and it is not necessarily what is actually happening.
Anyway, Juliet has other things to keep her busy and her criminal defence days catch up with her.
This upsets everyone and reinforces what is important in life for them. After a minor hiccup from Juliet when she appears to have lost her mind.

There is of course an epilogue - set a month after the main story.
Then the book carries on.
Then there is ANOTHER epilogue after 6 months!

Now I know I love an interesting epilogue - but 2?! Amazing.

In case you cannot tell from this brief overview - I loved this book.
I was invested in the characters from the beginning, wanted to know what was happening, laughed and gasped a few times and then gave serious thought to reading the Hush Liverpool 4 again.

Sequel part to "The Hideout" and continuing on with the narrative between Paige, wannabe singer/pianist and mixologist at "The Hideout" an exclusive club, and Juliet was never one for committed relationships before Paige.
So, it is all new to her the first time around, especially with how Juliet turns down a long-time escort and friend of hers, Rachel, who wanted more than she could ever give her (her own story of finding love goes deep, and hot, in Book 3 in this series), and so Juliet finds herself surprisingly happy with Paige despite the horrific past Paige had to escape before.

This time around, Paige is touring with someone she always wished to be with, and doing what she THOUGHT she would always like doing, but then when she's away from her year-long girlfriend, Juliet, things begin to change in her.

Same goes with Juliet, until something horrible happens to Juliet in a brutal attack, that leaves her and Paige distraught and unsettled. They have to come to terms with their relationship's growth and natural change.
I thought that was really cool to see that natural progression.

She (the brilliant Melissa Tereze ;) has a knack for creating inconspicuous villains that really get on my nerves.
I say inconspicuous because, they are not what I would classify as classic villains.
But they still surprise me every time with their evilness, their intrigues and their hatred.
I won't give away any more, but I can say this much:
it will definitely be a surprise for everyone.
Apart from that, this book is nerve-wracking, tender, sweet, hot and beautiful.
Just like Paige and Juliet and their beautiful live together.
I was very happy that the story of the two lovers continued and we got an insight into what Paige can achieve with her voice, when she wants to and how Juliet makes her own changes at the Hideout to make it an even bigger success.
These are all things that i enjoyed reading, but everything that came next... absolutely not!
But, with a lot of love and support from friends, everything can be overcome, right?
Anyone who knows the Hush Liverpool series will love this book!

I'm sure no one else is gonna make this mistake but just in case, don't start reading this and being confused because you didn't realize this was book 2. I got back to back double shots of these characters though and I absolutely loved it!

One thing about miss Tereze that I adore is her ability to recall her character's personalities and their overall vibe when writing her sequels. I've read a couple authors who have difficulty doing that where you're left wondering why would that character do or say something that seems so out of place from the first book. But some how, Melissa has this magical power that allows her to conjur up her characters back into existence from where they've left off with their developments, flaws and love. They'll do and say things that make sense to the first story and even if new faults or problems come along, you understand how they got there.

I would highly recommend this book and series. Never a disappointment when jumping back in to these people's worlds.

my heart

Before I get into how absolutely amazing this book is, I’d like to make it known I’m first in line to slap the author.
This book is just, I don’t have the words. Having met the main characters before in The Hideout you would hope they had a slightly easier second book. Unfortunately Tereze likes us to suffer. My heart dropped through the floor with this one. Even though it’s back in the right place now it was a shock.
The characters are perfect for each other. The way they are written, the thoughts and the way they support each other just makes my heart melt.
This book has it all, angst, anger, danger, sadness but the love these two have overcomes all that. You will be calling the author names throughout this book, but by the end you will applaud. It’s truly amazing.

We catch up with Paige and Juliet relatively early in their relationship. The Hideout is doing great and Paige had been touring with a famous singer. While The Hideout is getting expanded, Paige is called as a last minute sub for the same singer’s UK leg. We see a somewhat normal progression of their relationship, with Julie getting insecure and jealous while Paige is trying to re-assure her that she's not going anywhere. In the meantime, Henry is still around as the threat to Juliet’s life is still there. And then all comes to a head. As usual a good read, the expected book length epilogue from Melissa.

Intense melodrama

I didn’t know what to expect when I began reading this book. It was like reading about any kind of life. And then the rug was pulled out from under my feet.

The drama was so intense and powerful that I was holding my breath and couldn’t stop reading until I was drifting off. My dreams were filled with the same energy and excitement, and I just had to continue when I woke up again.

A favorite quote from the book:
"Isn’t life a funny thing, hey. We meet people when we least expect it, and everything changes."

Always Great Reads!

I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book in this series. I love the way all of the characters are seamlessly woven together throughout all four books. Indeed, it's like seeing old friends. Some tears and many laughs, heartbreak and romance, not to mention some quite memorable steamy scenes that were an absolute delight!! The author, Ms. Tereze has done it yet again, and I know I will never be disappointed when I pick up another one of her books and neither will you. I'm just happy she's as prolific as she is!

Juliet and Paige are living together, but a request to headline Soraya's UK tour is trouble in paradise.

Juliet doesn't normally get jealous, but the fans shipping Paige and Soraya disturbs her.

SPOILER; also, Soraya is a bit of a asshole.

Then, just as Paige is coming home, things take a startling turn.

Good, solid read. My only gripe is I felt the resolution of the villainess' plot line was anticlimactic. The resolution just... did NOT work for me. My opinion, of course.

This the sequel to The Hideout rounded off the story nicely. Paige and Juliet
continue running the exclusive bar together and Paige dips her toe into the pool of musical stardom. Still through this cloud of bliss a storm is brewing, will Paige travel the world as a support act to Soraya? With the hidden spectra from Juliet’s previous career come to haunt them? Read the book and you will find out. I definitely recommend this book which I received as an ARC from the author.

How Melissa Tereze is able to write wonderful novels time and time again is truly amazing. To say that she is one of my favourite authors is an understatement. The way she weaves her stories allows you to be part of the story itself. The emotional rollercoaster is real!!
Do yourself a favour and run and get this novel. Yes it can be read as a stand alone but it’s so much sweeter when you have read the three before it.

Any Kind of Love

Another fabulous story by Melissa Tereze. I love her age-gaps. The chemistry is growing as the relationship continues. I love Juliet and Paige. This was emotional and brought tears to my eyes.
I enjoyed seeing characters from previous books in the series. They made wonderful secondary characters. This group is a wonderful found family.
I look forward to the next book. I know I will be coming back to reread this series time and again.

Complex

Once again this author presented us a story with characters full of depth and complex relationships. We revisit the lives of Juliet and Paige. This installation has the two dealing with a host of issues from the past and present. The story explores how we can be presented with what looks like a once in a lifetime dream but the holds little meaning when it doesn't align with what means the most to you.

Good book

A wonderful story about true love. The things that have happen to Paige and Juliet would make a lot of people just give up. Their love has put them through everything that could happen to a couple and even being stabbed. When you have your soul mate you can work anything out as long as you communicate with each other. Just a beautiful story

An amazing story

This is an amazing story, the sequel of Juliet and Paige story. Equally dramatic with enough suspense, plenty of feelings and emotions plus intense scenes. I am a huge fan of Melissa Tereze as her stories are deeper and her writing so smooth plus her characters have so much depth. Loved it
