Now, she’s the heiress to a massive horse racing empire with trouble written all over her.
When my club gets hired to keep her safe, I think it’s going to be a quick and easy job. Hell, I don’t expect to get tangled up with her like I do. Sophie’s got a fire that matches mine, and things get seriously complicated fast. I push her away, thinking it’ll shield her from the mess of my life.
I’m dead wrong.
A scumbag with a vendetta finds out she means everything to me. Now, he’s using her as leverage, threatening her life and more important to her, her father’s legacy. Once again edited as I decided to actually read this book because it's free on Kindle atm. You can find my initial reaction to this book down below, but I stand by what I said after having actually read it. In all honesty the biggest sin of this book besides the ow being kept around is the lack of protection being used during the intimate scenes. Which Legend had more of with Becki the whore. God I hate that bitch. Anyways, Legend has probably fucked thousands of women without protection going from v to a and whatnot. Multiple threesomes without protection. Then sticks it in the idiot herione. I really think authors need to take responsibility for safe sex if their are multiple partners and high body counts. You honestly think you don't have teenagers reading your stuff? Of course you do. I digress. As far as the actual relationship between Sophie and Legend? Extremely lack luster. Whether you call what Legend did cheating will be up to the individual reader, but if you call a woman yours now then go back to your club and fuck the ow that passionately with kissing I'm calling it cheating. Then Sophie and Legend have sex and then he breaks up with her. Some blackmail from the bitch Becki and Legend once again screws her and every other club whore. Bareback mind you. So gross and unrealistic. Especially as the MC is described as unclean etc. You think STIs, UTIs, and thrush isn't going to pop up? I know it's fiction, but damn these authors be nasty not sexy. And to know Becki get's her own HEA in the next book is unfathomable. It really has me wondering about some of these authors might actually be real life ow's. Overall? Not good. Disjointed writing with inconsistencies. Repeated paragraphs and mad dash to the finish line at 90%. Completely unsatisfying.
Edited
Usually I don't give any spoilers for books I haven't read, but I got all the dirty details on FB and I'll be passing in case you want to as well. Because a lot of the books in The King of Anarchy series are not free. I've paid for the one's out and regret every single one because they just weren't any good. Such a let down. So number one problem. The biggest.. OW get's her own book next and that's a big ole hell no for me for any series. She's awful to h as well as breaks H and h up. Number 2. H and h break up not for long and he goes right back to Becky the ow. Maybe not cheating for some, but for me it is. And I read cheating books. They don't bother me, but that little fact does. The relationship was already established. He knew Becky caused shit. It's gross not gritty. Number 3. The ow and H though not related have a weird Game of Thrones vibe going and that's a no. H lived with ow's fam and they were together before getting up to who knows what. Even though I'll read just about anything step related. Comparing them to the infamous TV bro and sis is a turn off. Also, a few have said the connection between H and ow was stronger than the h. He couldn't even kill her in the end probably because deep down he loves her. Last but not least. Knowing ow is staying in their lives. Gotta say I'm disappointed because I was actually looking forward to this one.

This is the first book in the Kings of Anarchy Kentucky Chapter and up first is Legend’s story. As a kid Legend’s father was a hand on the horse ranch which is where he first met Sophie. She was the rich girl and Legend was the boy she wanted to run away with when they were teens.
It didn’t work out the way they wanted and now years later its Sophie who needs help from Legend who is now the Prez of the KOAMC. He never stopped thinking of the girl he once loved and now they are getting their second chance to find that HEA.
This book was packed full of drama, steam with plenty of twists and turns that kept me turning pages as fast as I could. I look forward to the next book in this new series.
I was looking forward to this one. I live in Louisville, KY and had high hopes. Unfortunately I was let down. This is a disjointed, convoluted mess. Editing and proofreading are desperately needed. How do you scratch his back when he is in front of you and your hands are tied behind your back? This is only one example of many more. The characters left me cold and uninterested - I just wanted to finally get through it. Again disappointed. It’s a generous 3 stars.
Interesting story. Solid 3.5 stars. The story felt disjointed to me and I never felt a love connection between the characters. Several typos and inconsistencies.
legend & Sophie: triggers- animal abuse, rough sex, clerical collar crime (church crime), blackmail, family discord. pet peeves - spelling and grammatical errors in published work. so I felt the concept was interesting and I wished the author had pushed more into the paranormal because then I would have been more excited but here we are with another flop on my list. I really dislike books that focus too much on the church and their lack of integrity at times. it annoys me and is definitely a trigger for me however I believe that not all churches are not like this. that being said. it felt as if this book was a "kitchen sink" story. there was too much going on between the Romeo and Juliet situation between the main characters, the church vs the ranch, church vs KOA, Becki vs Sophie and the KOA vs sinners, the family discord with Sophie, her dad and brother and the ranch issues with horses and attacks. there's just too much going on and the author doesn't give smooth transitions so it jumps around a lot. and at the end of the day, there was no real resolution with half of those story lines. I'm hoping that this authors next book is better but I have to say I doubt the heroine in THAT book will redeem my opinion about her because WTAF! on a good note the story is a HEA if you can call it that, and it's very naughty. extreme positive: I FREAKING LOVE HORSES so ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for them alone 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏾♀️
note: I know I may have misspellings and grammar issues in my reviews but I'm not a published author and I'm just trying to get my reviews done so I can finish my reading challenge. 😁😁😁
Morgan-Jane-Mitchell presents an award-worthy MC book! A second chance romance with all the rough and tuff motorcycle club allure!
This is the story of Legend & Sophie, childhood sweethearts from opposite worlds. Fast forward years later and the story unfolds. They reunite under dire circumstances and Legend becomes her protector and more.
The World Build is incredibly real, with all the trimmings of a bike club built into an old police station. Bikes, Booze, Bunnies, hookups, the whole nine yards!
The characters are vividly portrayed, giving the reader the pov of both MMC/FMC. This story has some emotional scenes that will pull at your heartstrings. There's drama, action, and suspense with lots of twists. This book is so good that I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book to all MC fans and anyone interested in a fabulous read. One-click now and prepare to join Legend and Sophie's journey to their HEA!!
Sophie and legend have history. Back in the day they were gonna run together. The world have different plans. Both have a different story. Now she’s in trouble and the only one that can save her is legend. So she asks. Guess what he agrees. After all she the one that got away. With lies and enemies around them they fight to live another day. They just have to trust each other and not listen to lies around them. Now they fight together like the queen and king of hell !!!
Legend & Sophie have history. They were from opposite sides of the track and Life had different plans for them but years later when Sophie returns home bc of her father theres trouble. Legend is who she runs to. Of course he still holds a torch for her so he’s going to do whatever it takes to help. Will they be able to handle everything and reconnect? Will they get their second chance? I am very excited to see where this series takes us.
A new author and MC for me. I have to say, it keeps you on your toes, but it's not all necessarily good. The storyline is good and interesting, but it threw my concentration off with repeated contradictions and what appears to be copy and pasting of the same thing but in different chapters. Over all, not bad.
This wasn't a bad book but it left questions unanswered about the monster and what happened it was a little slow in places and I liked it but it wasn't one of my top books
Kings of Anarchy is a new, multi-author collection of series. Each author writes about a chapter of the MC, with a few basic ideals, but each chapter makes its own rules. PROPERTY OF LEGEND is the first book in the Kentucky chapter’s saga. This was my introduction to the Kings of Anarchy MC. I have read books from several similar series; the setup is not unlike. And I have read books by Morgan Jane before, so I kind of knew what to expect. Or at least I thought I did. This book blows all of MJM’s other books out of the water. She really put her A game out there. I thought the characters were layered and the plot was exciting and top notch. I think that Legend is a fascinating man, with a lot of hard edges but a weakness for Sophie, his first love. Sophie is a strong woman with a gift for trouble. Together they are explosive. The love between these two is epic, with a lot of sturm und drang and intense emotion. I’d give the book five stars on the strength of this alone, but the rest of the story was also excellent. Even the Other Woman from the Other Woman Drama is a complex character with a lot of negative qualities, yes, but there are reasons for that. It doesn’t excuse her actions, but it certainly explains them and makes her a 3D character. The horses are a vital part of the story, with a storyline involving the Kentucky Derby (Weep No More, My Lady…). One of the major triggers of this book is the traumatic injury to and on-page death of a horse. This could be disturbing to anyone, but if it’s a trigger for you in particular, tread carefully. There are supernatural elements to the story, but the author is very clear that this is not a Paranormal Romance, and after reading it, I’d agree. The supernatural adds to the overall Southern Gothic flavor that permeates the book and works really, really well. I only had one issue, and that is that a certain plot device repeats. Any more than that borders on the ridiculous. This is not a safe read; the OWD spills over into the bedroom. There is also a particularly in-your-face sex scene at the very beginning of the book involving the MMC and three simultaneous partners. There is no mention of prophylactics in this scene, as well. There is OMD, but the Other Man is a weak type who is not much competition; the Other Woman is a much more determined and threatening rival. I think I’ve covered what I want to say so I’ll leave you with one thought and end with a couple of stats: this is by far MJM’s best book and if it’s an indication of the caliber of story for this series, it’s going to sell really, really well. This book certainly deserves to. Cat’s Stats: MMC/FMC- Legend and Sophie Heat- on page, explicit, with some BDSM elements. Safety? Heavens no! Tropes- First Love, Second Chance, A Horse Is A Horse (Of Course, Of Course), Derby Dreams, OWD, Club Prez, Club Ho-Ho-Ho Drama, Uptown Girl/Downtown Boy, As You Wish. Triggers- so many, and they include but are not limited to pretty much if you ring the cowbell and holler “Trigger”, this book will show up for dinner.

PROPERTY OF LEGEND is the first instalment in Morgan Jane Mitchell’s contemporary, adult KINGS OF ANARCY MC: KENTUCKY dark, MC romance series. This is twenty-nine year old, club president Hudson ‘Legend’ Welles, and twenty-eight year old, Kentucky horse heiress Sophie Montgomery’s story line.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Legend and Sophie) PROPERTY OF LEGEND focuses on the fight to save Paradise Falls and the Kentucky ranch where the Montgomery family breed and race potential Derby winners. Approximately ten years earlier, Sophie and Legend were best friends but life at home for both was dangerous and dark. A betrayal ripped our couple apart, and each believed the lies told by someone else. Fast forward to present day, Sophie needs Legend and the Kings of Anarchy MC to help to save the ranch but ten years of heart break and lies force our couple to reconsider the past, when the Montgomery ranch is targeted for sins of the past.
The world building is detailed and complex as we are up close and personal with a religious cult known as the Pearly Gates, and their leader Reverend Ezekiel Crowley, and their followers the Church Boys. Along with the Depraves Sinners MC, the Pearly Gates community takes aim at the Paradise Falls ranch, targeting our heroine in the process. From blackmail to criminal enterprises, the people of Hell, Kentucky have lost control, allowing a religious zealot to control with an iron fist.
The relationship between Sophie and Legend is a second chance romance; an enemies to lovers relationships in which betrayal, secrets and lies, and outside manipulation threaten any future our couple have together. Legend’s past refuses to let go, and Sophie is caught between saving the ranch, and a life with a man she has never stopped loving. The $ex scenes are provocative and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of questionable and interesting secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced several members of the Kings of Anarchy MC Kentucky-Oak, Rye, Derby, Royal, Whiskey, Bullet, and Lex:; Sophie’s brother James; Reverend Crowley, his daughter Becki, and the Pearly Gates’ Church Boys, members of the Depraved Sinners MC; PR director for the Kentucky Breeders Alliance Sam Worthington. Royal’s story line is next.
PROPERTY OF LEGEND is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, obsession and religious zealots, family and dysfunction, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic, captivating and intriguing; the romance is fated but struggles in the face of lies and deception; the characters are charismatic, desperate and determined.
This is book one in The Kings of Anarchy MC : Kentucky series and it is Legend and Sophie’s story and what a great start to a new series. Legend and Sophie have history because years ago they were high school sweethearts who were from different sides of the track and then everything between them fell apart. Years later and Sophie has returned home to Paradise Falls because her father is dying and someone is trying to sabotage her life, family legacy and land so now she needs help to find out who is doing this and why only she wasn’t expecting the person that broke her heart to step forward to help her especially after what happened years ago. Legend is now The President of The Kings of Anarchy MC and also a law to himself and with it a vengeance to put things right but when he found out that Sophie the woman who he still loves was in trouble he knew that he would do anything and everything possible regardless of the situation or circumstances to make sure that she is safe and protected even if he has too set the place on fire to do it and this time he will not let her go or walk away because he wants a second chance to be with and also get the happiness and future that he always wanted and deserved. The attraction and chemistry between Legend and Sophie is still as strong as ever and there love for each other had definitely stood the test of time and even though they have had many ups and downs along the way they were so perfect together and for each other. I really loved this action packed and addictive read and it kept my attention throughout. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
What a way to start a new series!! Ms. Mitchell has given us an outstanding storyline featuring the Prez of the Kings of Anarchy MC, Kentucky Chapter, Legend. Legend has truly loved only one girl, Sophie, since he was a young stable boy and she was the rancher's daughter, aka: Horse Princess. They had plans to run away together until lies were told and their worlds fell apart. Fast forward to the present… Sophie is now running the horse ranch trying to get her legacy afloat and Legend has returned to and built up his own MC Empire that the locals fear for good reason. So when Sophie starts getting threatened, she hires the one man she knows can keep her and the ranch safe, even if he did break her heart all those years ago. Legend takes the job, knowing deep down he’ll do anything for her, even if she did ruin his life all those years ago. But when things intensify and dangers closer, is it because of the ranch, the championship horses, Sophie or is it because Legend has intervened causing even worse threats to come their way.
This is an outstanding MC romance with suspense, romance, vengeance, dangers, alpha males and a strong stubborn woman. It even has a touch of a mythical creature that adds even more intense moments. I can’t recommend Property of Legend enough. I highly recommend grabbing it up and getting in from the very start of the Kentucky KOAMC chapter.
OMG all I can say is this was a dang good book. I loved Legend from the start of the book. Then add in his little horse princess it was over the moon.
Legend and Sophie, are a match made in h3ll that you will fall in love with right off the bat. A second chance/redemption story that goes above and beyond all expectations. The story shows us that sometimes going back to your first love can be the best thing that ever happens to you. Sophie, is having trouble keeping her family legacy from going belly up thanks to the past that was paved by others. Left with the feelings of never being able to have the one true love of her life and the thoughts of never being good enough. Legend, an outlaw biker that has never been able to shake his past and the love of his life. things are happening in the little town of Heck that he is part of along with his long lost love. Problems arise for Sophie an the club that puts Legend right in the middle of everything.
I loved the plot and the characters of this book. The plot had a lot of twists and turns that always lead back to the sure thing. the characters play an important role in this story and they add to the plot.
I can't wait to read the next book to this Kentucky chapter of Kings Anarchy. If Legend is any type of lead into the next book, then we are all in for the ride of our lives.
Property of Legend is book one in the new Kings of Anarchy MC: Kentucky series written by the amazing author Morgan Jane Mitchel. This is Hudson " Legend" Welles, a tattooed, possessive, alpha male president of the KOA Kentucky chapter & Sophie Montgomery, heiress to a small-town horse racing empire and the girl she loved 10 years ago, a second chance dark romance story. The plot is full of drama, lot of twist, secrets, danger, suspense, threats, vengeance and so much more. I can’t wait for next book! Tropes; ✅Second chance romance ✅Bad boy / good girl ✅ Tiny Heroine/ Huge Hero ✅Small town secrets ✅Enemies to lovers ✅“He left her behind” ✅Love triangle vibes ✅Forbidden romance ✅Other woman drama ✅Forced proximity ✅Alpha male ✅Hero with a dark past ✅Protective possessive MMC ✅Feisty heroine from a powerful family ✅Southern Gothic / Rural elements ✅Supernatural suspense (Not PNR)
She was once the princess of the horse farm and he the stable hand, but they found something together that was strong and true. Knowing they would have issues being together, they make plans to run away together but lies and drama intervene and they are torn apart. It is now 10 years later and she still on the farm trying to hold it all together, when he comes back. Now the president of the local MC. When there are threats to her livelihood she turns to the one man she thinks can help her. Even though he was burned once he takes the job of helping her, knowing that he still wants to protect her. Their chemistry hasn't waned in all these years and their passion turns steamy. There is a lot going on in this story. I did really enjoy the main characters, I became invested in them figuring things out, but it went off in too many directions for me and became distracting.

Great Read! This is the first book in a new chapter of the Kings of Anarchy Kentucky. Legend is the Prez. Sophie is the "rich girl" heir to her family's horse racing farm Paradise Falls. They meet as kids Hudson is the son of a hand on the farm, wild and wreckless with a crush on his Horse Princess. As teens Sophie and Hudson meet in the barn and in a rush plan to run away but others intervene and Sophie thinks he stood her up. 10 years later Sophie comes home and reaches out to Legend and his club for protection. Someone is out to ruin Sophie and her family's legacy. I loved this book and the start to the Kentucky chapter of the KOA. Twists and turns with a little supernatural twist. Can't wait for what Morgan Jane has in store for Royal and Becki!!!!
Hunter/Legend worked of Paradise Falls and had eyes for Sophie, the owner's daughter. When she came home from college, they made plans to runaway together but he was not there when she got back. She thought he left her and he thought she had him arrested. That is when he reconnected with his father and they started the Kings of Anarchy MC, Kentucky chapter.
Years later his father has died and he is Pres, and Sophie needs his help. He never got over her especially when they find out they were not betrayed. Things are not sunshine and roses, there are threats from a rival club, a religious cult and her own brother. Will they be able to survive the fall out?
Cannot wait for the next in the series.

Property Of Legend is book 1 in the Kings Of Anarchy MC, Kentucky Chapter and what a start to this new series! Legend is President of this Kentucky Chapter and his story is a great, second chance story with the girl he loved as a child. After years apart and a lot of water under the bridge Sophie comes home and seeks help from Legend and his club. Their story, from very early on as kids, had one interruption after the other and circumstances that prevented them from being together. Now, all of these things come to light and they're given another shot at their hea. Property Of Legend is a fantastic story and and the perfect one sitting read! I can't for book 2 in this series!
I had a blast reading these characters. The history that these two have was definitely meant to be together. Second chances are a beautiful thing because you already know each other deep down. Legend, betrayal from multiple different directions is hard to see but once you do I am proud of you on how you handle it. Sophie, protecting those that you love can be challenging but you did the right thing at the right time so that you could take care of business. The Kings of Anarchy take care of their own in their own way.
Thank-You Morgan Jane Mitchell #PropertyofLegend #MorganJaneMitchell
Whew hold onto your horses when you read this story about Legend and Sophie. They grew up together, each loving the other. They were meant to be but circumstances got in the way. The story picks up where they meet again as adults. They are star crossed lovers who battle outside threats and their own demons. There is a lot of other woman drama in this book. I normally don't care for that but the author does a good job with it. I was happy when they finally reached their happily ever after.
She came home to find everything falling apart, including her heart.
Sophie’s quiet return to Paradise Falls turns into anything but, especially when Hudson, now Legend, a powerful MC president—is the only one she can turn to. Old feelings resurface fast in this second-chance romance full of secrets, tension, and small-town suspense.
Perfect for those who like protective heroes, emotional heat, and Southern Gothic vibes.
Can’t wait for Becki and Royal’s story, it’s not going to be smooth sailing I’m sure.
Sophie has loved legand since she was a teenager. One night they were supposed to run away but he disappeared. Years later she calls his mc for help because someone is causing trouble at her farm. When he arrives the sparks fly between them but she has her walls up. Slowly he breaks those down until she is putty in his hands. Their love is not an easy thing and has more bumps in the road than most but they fight together against everyone and everything and finally end up where they should be together!.

This was a great introduction to the Kings of Anarchy MC Kentucky. Sophie and Hudson, now Legend, knew each other in their youth, parted by secrets and family. The Kings took over Paradise Falls, and Sophie needed some help. They were still hot together, and Legend decided to claim Sophie. With possible monsters in the woods that tore up horses and a cult just down the road wanting Legend back and to bring in Sophie, there was not a spare moment to relax. Loved it.
I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.
Dang what a start to a banging series and the drama hello isn’t there with a character named Becki hello 🤦🏻♀️ but her story will be next with Royal lol . Let’s talk Legend the man is a beast in bed but man if you want the lady keep it your pants dude and Sophie girl tell your man the truth but we can’t have that because it wouldn’t be an awesome book without us having fun reading all the fun stuff like creepy dude , or the one liners , or the past and how we got here . Totally awesome can’t wait for the next book 📕
This was a great into to a whole new MC and the women who drive them crazy.Legend and Sophie have what at best is a love/hate relationship, thats because they come from different backgrounds. When there is trouble the person Sophie thinks to call is emend, and he comes running like the hounds of Hell were nipping at his butt. They argue, fight, pretend that they have nothing in common, but are still there for each other. They take on anyone or thing that comes for them, and in the end their love and committed relationship over comes it all. I loved this book!!!!
So I'm giving this 3.75 stars because overall I enjoyed it. A fairly fast paced plot with any amount of twists and turns. What let it down was the continuality, there were a number of inconsistencies. For example, they were riding bare back but then Sofie slid from the saddle. There were a number of these, so the book really needs some decent editing. I also felt the couple needed more development in their relationship, it just didn't feel convincing, especially after many false starts. I will read the next book and hope some of these issues have been ironed out.
