Under the cruel watch of the Wilson family, orphans Anne, James, and William endured relentless abuse and hardship. Upon reaching their breaking point, the three make a desperate choice to escape, risking everything for freedom. Driven by Anne’s unwavering hope of reuniting with her mother, the trio flee the only life they had ever known and sneak aboard a ship bound for the Americas. As they faced the perils of the open sea and the uncertainties of a new world, their courage and determination were tested in ways they had never imagined. The Wanderers is a heart-pounding tale of survival, hope, and the unbreakable bonds of family.
A bit unbelievable but a very good story. And adventure with strong characters. And….when I was done, I missed James, Anne, William, Emory and Sally. I want more.
This is a clean cut story good for very young readers. I honestly thought this book was written by a very young female, was surprised it was written by a grown man, but he's a mormon so that explains the simplistic sappy feel-good adventure.
