Rate this book
San Francisco. After Pat had been brought up in the sheltering care of his adoptive father, Samuel Buckwell, the young man believes that he has overcome the tragic loss of his parents. Yet in the last few days before continuing his studies at Harvard the past begins to cast shadows over him. Pat is confronted with a former rival who once more revives the feelings of guilt that threaten to ultimately engulf him. Meanwhile Buckwell has to fight against an old adversary to save his company. Pat has already failed once. Will destiny offer him a second chance?
Life sometimes confronts the fate of some and has them play out a game, which can culminate in what is called an endgame …
Both, Pat and Buckwell, have to make every move count. If they fail, they might lose everything.
A novel about a journey of exploration to the interior of the mind that everyone sometime must make.
