Dark, Twisted, and Addictive Mafia Romance
This was the first book by Melissa Hampton that I’ve read, and what an experience. From the very first pages, she pulls you into a high-stakes mafia world where misunderstandings, lies, and deception have real, and often dangerous, consequences.
The chemistry between the couples is undeniable. Vincent and Melonie’s unhinged, electric attraction contrasts beautifully with Khan’s intense possessiveness over Mai, and I loved how each dynamic brought something different to the story. The tension, passion, and emotional pull kept me turning pages.
Melissa Hampton does an excellent job immersing the reader in this world, weaving in twists and turns that keep you guessing. While the ending felt a little rushed, it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment. I was still left satisfied with how things wrapped up.
Trigger Warning: This story does not shy away from dark themes. If you have triggers, I highly recommend checking them before diving in…this book leans into the darker side of mafia romance.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this author and continuing the Golden Triangle series.

I think this is my favorite out of all of Melissa's books (still have one to read, so this opinion is subject to change). I enjoyed all the characters in this book so much that I didn't know who to root for. At the end of the book, our two groups of characters really turn into opposing forces, and I found myself severely struggling with who I wanted to come out on top. I've enjoyed both Vincent and Melony's characters since I read Linh, but Mai really won my heart. I love a strong, badass woman, and Melissa certainly knows how to write them. I was VERY concerned about how this book was going to end, but I was so satisfied with the endings that all the characters received.

Oh my the twists
This beautiful book was amazing. The FMC and MMC grew on me. I went into this book hating them but boy was I wrong. And the twist at the end! Girl like what!! This is a must read!
