Scarlett Prynne and Runeclaw took one on the magical chin from the Luminous Veil. Now it’s time for payback.

While they were guarding against one kidnapping spree, the Veil performed another. But Scarlett has a lead on the captives, and for once, she’s going to be the one delivering trouble rather than receiving it.

The Veil won’t be stopped by just one strike, though. Camus’ plans to control captives and their owners with magical mind control collars could make him unstoppable. All he needs to do is get the collars on, place the servants, and then activate the magic inside them.

Time is ticking away while Scarlett, The Witches on Wheels, and the Spell Riders search for the key lead.

Scarlett may need a new kind of magic to beat the Veil this time. An elderly witch wants to teach her how to use blood magic to track someone. Is it enough? And does it pose its own threat?

Meanwhile, Maddox and Amber will collaborate on getting Dusk Runner ready for battle. And Rath the troll will happily teach her to be better at throwing knives, in accordance with his mantra, “Must Train.”

But will anything be enough to root out the Veil’s location so they can finally destroy the group?

Only one way to find out.

For action, magic, snarky banter, martial arts, mystical creatures, and a dash of mystery, join Scarlett and Runeclaw on their next adventure.

I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.

I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.

My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.

Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

So much is happening in this penultimate book of the series.

Once again, TR Cameron has written his story so well, that I was instantly drawn into it - I was there, with Scarlett and Runeclaw, as they raced against time, doing their utmost, to discover exactly what the Luminous Veil is really up to!

As usual, there was a large cast of characters in the story, helping them out - including, I was happy to read, Diane and Rath, the Troll: 'Must Practice!' Lol

But the main characters, including Lin, the dark Drow, Wren, the Leader of The Witches on Wheels, and Amber, their oh, so clever Infomancer then, held in reserve, but always willing to help, are the Spells on Wheels, with Maddox, their Leader, and Snow, the wild & awesome inventor.

Despite all of their help, though, Scarlett and Runeclaw are becoming ever more frustrated as, time after time, the Bald Baddies slip away from any confrontation.

It's only when they manage to trace just one person, that Runeclaw can show just how clever he is, in order to sneak in and out of the man's home, with a way to mark him, for tailing.

Then, when that tail gets a result, all hell is let loose!

Yet again, I fell into this story, and I'm now at a point where I'm excited to read the final book, Book Eight: 'Witch's Wrath'' but, at the same time, I'm dreading finishing this great series!

The only thing that makes me feel better, is that I've still got a TON of books to read, mainly by the LMBPN stable of authors, although a friend introduced me to some modern romances she insists I'll enjoy - hmmmm, I'll have to wait and see on that one! Lol

But, for the moment, I'm very happy to keep on with this final book of The Nomad Witch series and, once I've finished this final book, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think about it!

The fight continues and the enemy are still kidnapping students but Scarlett and her friends are there to inflict pain and fight them. They manage to do that, but while they save a few, Camus is still plowing ahead in his plans and he is irked at the witches interferences but they are only making a dent and not foiling his plans entirely.

The cat not being that nice does get a bit irksome after a while, but it is a part of the story, that Scarlett makes use of the men but doesn't have an actual relationship with them is a bit sad, I like the sound of Maddox. Would be nice if there was more of him in the book, but these stories are about the witches fighting.

The men of the Veil are at the peak of their plans. The witches and warlocks are following as close as they can.

Scarlett and Runeclaw have joined with the witches again to track the bald men of the Veil to try and trap them before they can collar the rest of the kidnapped college kids. Their plan is to mark and follow the one man they think is one of the top men. This means they are going to have to work without backup plans to just react as they can when he moves. This leaves them at a great disadvantage and open for heavy losses. They have no choices.

Very entertaining read.

Scarlette, her guardian cat, Runeclaw, and her array of Magical friends, The Wishes on Wheels and The Spell Riders, continue to take on the Bald Baddies (AKA) the Veil); while rescuing more of the Veils kidnapped victims.

It seems likely me things are coming to a head. Hence, I am excited to read the 8th book in the awesome The Nomad Witch series.

Closer

Scarlett, Reneclaw, the Witches, and the Spell's Angels keep getting closer to defeating the Viel. Meanwhile, the Viel gets closer to completing it's plan.

Lots of action and surprises. A quick fun read.

Eagerly awaiting the next book!

Book 7

Wild Witch is an action packed adventure with several magical battles. The book continues to get us closer to the epic final battle with the Luminous Veil. Scarlett Lin and the ever snarky Tune law have become quite the fighting force. Looking forward to Book 8.

As with most books like this, it's starting to drag as the plots seem to recycle themselves and not a lot of forward motion is noted. Hopefully, the next book will start to see some resolution with the Veil. I'm beginning to feel like some of the sections are copy/paste.

Some clues

Scarlett and her friends are trying hard to find the Luminous Veil so they can rescue the college students they have kidnapped, and hopefully find out what their plans are. They are starting to get closer to the answers and have a couple of battles along the way. This series is full of action and humor and I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens next.

Phantasmic !!

Once again, captured within two sentences. The continuing Saga keeps me spellbound to the point where I must continue reading, even though I dread reaching the End.
