Christine Schneider writes well and uses and enjoyable format. She provides a wealth of strategies for teachers to use to become more effective writing instructors. She provides many samples from her own classroom to enable a reader to understand and envision how these instructional strategies could look and provide scaffolding for students. This book guides teachers through the entire writing process and could be a useful tool to revisit (specific chapters) as they are planning their own curriculum.
Such an important read for ELA teachers! I’ll be sharing with my PLC, interns, and new teachers who join our school. I’ll also keep it with me as I plan my weeks as an amazing tool to guide my instruction.
