Someone has taken over for The Alphabet Killer, and he’s not playing games.
Detective Mick Dooley never thought the city of Southbridge would be plagued by another homicidal maniac like The Alphabet Killer again.
He was wrong.
When the gruesome murders begin anew, picking right up where the original killer left off, Mick finds himself thrust into a case that is beyond his experience. With the sadistic killer leading the police from one brutal crime scene to the next, leaving no trace of evidence except what he wants them to find, Mick decides to enlist the help of a most unlikely individual - The Alphabet Killer himself.
With the disturbing case and his unlikely alliance taking him down a dark path, Mick must decide if the help he’s receiving is too high of a cost as his decision begins tearing his personal life apart.
Can Mick stop the horrible murders and bring the killer to justice before he loses his family - and quite possibly, his very soul?
Words that immediately come to mind after reading this book:
*Shocking *Gruesome *Sickeningly Smart Villain *Twist After Excellent Twist
This book takes place after The Alphabet Killer, read that first. I'm not going to summarize for fear of spoiling something. Don't walk, run to get both books.
The author's detailed descriptions of characters, crime scenes and settings are unmatched. When he releases a thriller it's an immediate buy for me.
Again, I don't want to say too much related to the story, but this is a must read if you're a fan of suspenseful thrillers and massive twists.
Most importantly, Vera is magical and I would very much like to see more of her in the future. Just putting that out there Mr. VanOudenhove.
Chefs kiss 😘 to this book. The sequel to the alphabet killer. I am so shocked and that’s not even the right word for what I’m feeling right now. I love this book.
Just as with The Alphabet Killer this was just as good maybe even better. Can’t wait to see what else is next. Didn’t see the last twist that was thrown in coming

Well shit this one out did the first! I had really high hopes for this book seeing how good the first one was and it did not disappoint! We are thrust into the world of the alphabet killer again when a sadistic killer tries to top him in every way! I did not see the killer coming at all LOL which is not shocking and I also did not see the twist at the ending coming! I cannot wait to see how this trilogy ends!
The Letter Man was just as amazing as The Alphabet Killer! Jeff VanOudenhove is a fantastic writer with in depth detail and such relatable characters. I certainly did not see the ending in this one. Can't wait for more novels and maybe another part of this series! Go read Jeff's books!
BLOWN AWAY!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am in shock and so ready for book 3 😍😍 this book follows Detective Dooley while he tries to catch The Letter Man. Can he catch him alone or does he need the help of someone very close to him? This book has so many twists, turns and absolutely shocking moments that you won't know which way you're going!! But one thing is for sure.....it doesn't stop here!!
“The Letter Man” by Jeff VanOudenhove is an outstanding follow-up to The Alphabet Killer. The author perfectly maintains the suspense and intensity while raising the stakes even higher. With shocking twists and nonstop tension, this sequel kept me glued to the pages. I can’t wait to read book three!
I want more! Ugh I thought the first book “The Alphabet Killer” was good, this masterpiece had me hooked! I finished it in one day. I need more from this story, especially with the ending…definitely a 5 star book!
This was a ride. I am so amazed and in shock over this book. Well written and I'm pretty sure my heart stopped beating for a few seconds at the end. Definitely recommend this little series!
I eagerly waited for the release of this book after reading The Alphabet Killer and it did not disappoint! Some familiar characters and some new ones made this an enjoyable read, and the ending was twisted for sure! Mr. VanOudenhove, I’m waiting for the next one….
Unfortunately, I had guessed who the killer was before it was mentioned in the book; however, the ending - wow! I was not expecting that at all!! Definitely made me go online and order the third book in the series right away! Jeff Vanoudenhove does an amazing job with the shocking endings.
When I tell you I’ve been waiting for this continuation of “The Alphabet Killer” for a long time, I’m serious. I was fortunate enough to find Jeff VanOundenhove in the Facebook groups when I still had Facebook and I’ve loved ALL of his work and this is no exception.
The stories are short, addicting and the twists always leave my jaw on the floor. I was invested in Mick’s struggle, not just to solve the case, but to hold onto his family and his sanity. The moral dilemmas and the intense pressure make Mick a character you can’t help but root for, even as the case drags him deeper into darkness which I’m sure is a real reality many investigators face.
Overall, if you’re into detective thrillers that are fast paced, addicting and will stick with you, Jeff is the guy for you!
