The first book to approach reincarnation from the perspective of dreams
• Identifies soul bloodlines, the key to past life therapies
• Combines the author’s own experiences with case studies and dreamwork with empirical research
• Reveals how the analyst and client are often karmically linked
In Past Life Dreamwork , Sabine Lucas examines “soul bloodlines”--character traits, talents, and life issues that are the common elements and circumstances of successive past lives. Found threaded through our dreams, these bloodlines reveal the forces manifesting in this life, and, taken together, they shape individuality as well as destiny within the reincarnation cycle. Though a wealth of past life related material regularly surfaces in dreams, until now dreamwork has been largely ignored as a therapy for successfully integrating past life experiences.
Using the results of 27 years of personal and professional work, Lucas explains that past life memories help us work out karma on the macro level and trauma on a micro level. She distinguishes three types of past life dreams--classic, informatory, and hybrid--and demonstrates how to distinguish these from other dreams. Her dramatic case studies illustrate the effectiveness of dream therapy in recognizing and integrating the resonant and recurrent circumstances and ethical dilemmas that are played out in the subconscious mind. These psychologically revealing stories bear witness to how individuals are made whole through the integration of common strands of forgotten or repressed past lives. Lucas shows that the integration of past lives enriches the conscious self and also promotes universal tolerance through an understanding of the patterns of our psychic soul inheritance.
My son bought this book for me as a Christmas gift the year it came out. I put it on my bookshelf and forgot about it. About a years or two later, I saw it on my shelf, picked it up, and couldn't put it down. The book had a profound effect on me. You see, I had several recurring dreams and now was able to recognize that these dreams were there to help me remember those past lifetimes. Once I placed myself in those lifetime and remembered, the recurring dreams stopped. I have since done past life regression on myself and uncovered other lifetimes that have impacted this lifetime. Dr. Lucas's book was instrumental in providing some pivotal tools which I have used in my own journey to uncover deeper truths of who I am.
Not what I expected it to be. To be honest I finished it because I started it. There is so much to take from this text. I believe that one day down the line I may find better use.
I am simply not at a stage where I can engage with the astral-world to this extent. I feel like I walked into the wrong lecture theatre and didn't mind listening to what had to be said.
I would have liked for it to be less anecdotally driven and more in-line with empowering readers to be able to learn and harness this wonderful aspect of reality more for themselves.
I am currently reading this book. I keep on coming back to it and opening it up and always open to something new and insightful. Wonderful examples and illustrations of the depths of the authors journey as well as those of her clients...and finding great wisdom as to how it all relates to me. An insightful and healing read that I would recommend to anyone interested in exploring the depths, nuances and potentials in the universe and also within themselves.
I was picking up this book with the expectations of it being a self-help, how to guide for getting in contact with past selves. I was disappointed to find it was actually a collections of Sabine's experiences as a Jungian therapists with her clients.
While this wasn't what I was looking for, I stayed along for the ride, enjoying the thorough history lessons and explanations of some coincidences that happened in her life. I sometimes got lost in the tragic lives of some of her characters and her stories made me reflect on the countless ways human beings experience life.
I couldn't put this book down. lots of fascinating insights, and great attention to detail! Sabine Lucas knows her stuff. This book helps you to understand how past life memories can occur in the dream time, and how healing they can be. I've had the honor of chatting with Sabine, she's very helpful.
This IS amazing! I've developed a hypothesis of my own. More research is needed. Let's just say I'm re-thinking some things. If a theory is true, say evolution, then it must be able to accommodate other truths.
