Vielen Dank an den Verlag für das Rezensionsexemplar. Mit der "Licht an" Reihe verbinde ich sogar noch meine Kindheit. Schon damals gab es die Bücher und konnten Kinderaugen zum Strahlen bringen. Dabei ist das größte Highlight die Taschenlampe aus Pappe. Es ist ein ganz einfaches Prinzip und kann großen Spaß machen. Das Motiv ist auf einer Folie gedruckt, die so recht dunkel erscheint. Nimmt man dann noch eine schwarze Seite dazu, scheint es für das bloße Auge nicht sichtbar. Legt man nun die Taschenlampe zwischen den Seiten, kann man so zum Beispiel, wie in diesem Fall, die Tiere unter der Erde entdecken. Besonders sind dabei auch die kurzen, kindgerechten Informationen. Perfekt für ganz klein, Kinder die lesen können und für Groß. Auch als Elternteil kann man etwas dazu lernen. Die letzten Seiten beinhalten sogar kleine spielchen, wodurch das Suchen und Entdecken nochmal etwas mehr Spaß macht.
Die Taschenlampe kann man dann auch ganz einfach in die Lasche der letzten Seite stecken, damit sie nicht verloren geht.

Das Buch selbst ist von der Qualität super. Die Folien sind Reißfest und die restlichen bedruckten Seite sind aus fester Pappe. Bei uns zuhause gibt es keinen Tag, an dem mein Sohn nicht nach den Buch greift. Mittlerweile benennt er die Tiere selbst. Aber jedesmal aufs neue die Tiere zu entdecken, bringt seine Augen zum Strahlen. So werde auch ich als Mama in meine Kindergarten Zeit zurück versetzt. Mit diesen Büchern ermögliche ich nun meinen Kinder, die Lebewesen spielerisch zu entdecken und haben viel Spaß dabei.

Hidden World: Under the Ground is such a unique and cool book. The illustrations that show above the ground are beautiful but the ones that show what is underground are outstanding, unique, and beautiful. They are pictures of the tunnels the animals make but they are printed on a thin clear plastic sheet over a black page. the pictures are hard to see in tell you to adjust the books angle in the light or point a flashlight on it. (its hard to explain just go read the book if I made no sense when talking about the pictures)
I would recommend this book based solely on the pictures but it also doses a great job in explaining what animals use the underground for.

This book is amazing! It teaches you all about animals that we see above ground but, live underground. On the first page, it teaches you a little about each animal and show you an illustration of them above ground and then on the other page it shows what their homes underground look like. This book's illustrations will definitely keep children entertained!
