Presents a chronological selection of Watney's writings from the 1990s, with new contextualising introductory and concluding essays and offers a chronicle of the changing and often confusing course of the epidemic.
heartbreaking at times but a very good and, in my opinion, crucial, read - especially for younger lgbt people who want to know more about the history of our community. many subjects are touched upon, such as art (i especially liked the essay on felix gonzalez-torres), epidemiology and the history of aids activism, which makes it that much more thought-provoking as it presents a multi-faceted picture of the repercussions of the aids crisis on the lgbt community.
