Cora O'Donnell is a psychic who has very disturbing dreams. There is a killer out there who kidnaps women with light blue eyes. He kills them and then removes the eyes. He calls them his Angel Eyes.
Rogan Duran wants to find the person responsible for killing his girlfriend several years ago and making him look guilty.

Cora and Rogan meet and are instantly attracted to each other. Rogan does not believe in psychics until Dora tells him about her dreams. Both realize that she will be next.
I liked that I could not tell who the killer was until the end. This book was very suspenseful and fast moving. The romance is more on the sensual side and very well written.

And yet another spooky romantic suspense from Jaycee Clark. She's quickly becoming a favorite of mine, especially if you like your villains on the truly evil side!

Cora's always been a bit different, and a bit psychic. Some of her dreams seem to come true. But then there are 'those' dreams--they only come every so often, and the one time she tried to take action and help...it really backfired on her and almost caused her to doubt herself. But now 'those' dreams are back and more frightening than ever, because they are about a killer who kidnaps and tortures women, kills them during sex, and then cuts out and keeps their eyes! And the scariest part? All those women have light blue 'angel eyes'...and so does Cora!

Rogan is ex-special ops and still on the trail of a killer who ruined his life. It took him a long time to clear his name and even now there are those who think he just 'got off' and wasn't really innocent. After all, he was the last one seen with his girlfriend...she of the light blue eyes. Now he's found Cora and for some reason, those instincts of his are telling him to stay close...maybe a little too close?

Spooky, scary, and will get your heart rate up! Another excellent read from Ms. Clark.

A woman with disturbing psychic dreams of a serial killer, a ruined man on a mission... A pretty good start for this thriller.
This was a good read, with two strong leads, and I liked both of them. The romance element was realistic, they moved fast, but not too fast, which is always nice to see when there isn't any element of soul mates and the like. We have a grounded psychic who isn't fond of her gift, though she tries to help anyway. A man who was once in special forces, only his life was thrown into the gutter after he'd been injured on a mission and then accused of murder. Not exactly the most likely couple, but they work well, it's believable.
The story centered around the leads, with glimpses of the killer's point of view to give you a few chills. It was well written, leading you through things, showing instead of just telling you. I did spot a few formatting errors in the kindle edition towards the end. Bad paragraph indents for the most part, and if there were grammar errors, I didn't notice them. There were a few places were the writing got stilted, but the dialogue flowed extremely well.
I could have used a bit more of a climax, the end was a bit too pat and there wasn't much worry about whether or not things would turn out all right. Yes, generally these stories end well for the leads, but the author could have drawn it out a bit more, made it last a while longer.
Overall this was a decent read however, and a good way to spend a dark and stormy night. ;)

There's been a serial killer on the loose for years and he targets women with bright, crystal blue eyes...what he calls "Angel Eyes." Rogan Duran lost his girlfriend to this killer years before and has actually been targeted by the police as the possible killer...which set him on a quest to track this killer down and stop him, to clear his name. His quest takes him to Sedona, AZ, where he meets local psychic, Cora O'Donnell. She claims to dream about this serial killer and the details she provides indicates she's telling the truth. Rogan and Cora connect instantly and even though Rogan is only passing through town, he can't keep away from her and they start a relationship. This is good because Rogan is there to protect Cora once she realizes that the serial killer is now after her because she has "Angel Eyes" too.

This was a nice romantic suspense story with an interesting paranormal twist. The romance between Rogan and Cora is sexy, but seems to go a little too fast for believability and it was difficult to feel anything more than the sexual connection between them. I definitely felt the lust, wasn't really feeling like they were falling in love. But I could definitely believe their feelings were enough to want to explore more. And as characters, both Cora and Rogan were very interesting and fun to read. As a suspense, this is also pretty good. I was thoroughly engaged throughout the story and liked following the red herrings dropped in front of you to try to figure out who the villain was (he was on my suspect list by I was successfully diverted by those red herrings). This story also makes use of the "cops are incompetent" trope which I don't love, but if the cops are doing their job then Rogan has no reason to be there, so, I get it. But these cops are extra inept and I was kinda surprised that they were even able to hold Rogan there for questioning (and wondering why he didn't just walk out of there) because they have nothing on him. All they can say is that he dated one of the victims and was in the vicinity at the same time some of the girls went missing. That's it. That's entirely circumstantial and not even that good since he had an alibi for other times. He should have stood up and walked out and said you can't hold me for any of this. Especially since - there were no bodies. There wasn't even any evidence that anything bad had happened to these women, so that was a bit of a logic logjam for me. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the story as I was able to just skip over that and ignore it. The suspense really picks up there towards the end then HEA.

I am a huge fan of JC, and would read the phone book if she wrote it, so I knew I was going to love this book and I was not disappointed. I "thought" I knew who the creeper was, then I wasn't sure, then I went back to my original thought, and in the end...I was wrong all the way around and I LOVE that. I really wish the book was a bit longer, honestly. I wish there had been just a bit more on the backstory, or even the love story. The "angst" came and went pretty fast and the bad guy was found almost as soon as he took Cora, a little more build up would have been good.

I HAD WRITTEN DOWN FOUR POSSIBLE SUBJECTS AND I CAN PROUDLY SAY ONE OF THEM WAS THE KILLER (yay me). I LOVE THIS AUTHOR AND SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT ME WITH THIS ONE. I would have liked it better is the killer's reasons have been explained better. Also the connection between the hero and the killer and the reason why the "angel eyes" were so important... Otherwise it was good.

Knew who the killer was even before he made an actual appearance in the book. All the connections were awful convenient.

Love, love, love her writing. Great name too - my grand daughter is also Jaycee. Love this one - so much reminds me of criminal minds type stories. Thank you.
