Rate this book
Welcome back to Frostdale, where you can live out your kinkiest fantasies.

Rolly Jolly is less than thrilled he was coaxed into playing a Mall Santa until he finds out who his elves are.

Angel and Damon are the sweet pets he met at a Halloween party, and he's been dreaming of them ever since.

But life in Frostdale is not a winter wonderland, and the puppy and kitten have struggled to make a new home there. What they need is a strong, loving master like Rolly who can show them that Christmas isn't just about making wishes come true, it's about finding the family you belong with.

It's about finding your forever home.

This book is part of the Merry Elf-Mas multi-author series. Each story can be read as a standalone, but why not come along for the ride as each of Santa's elves finds love during the holidays?

A MMM romance where we're back in Frostdale, with Christmas & holidays! This is an age gap romance with kinky pet play 😉, Hurt/Comfort, Size Difference, Cute yet gut punched feels in climax.
Loved Rolly, Damon & Angel! Devoured my #ARC in 4hrs.

Rolly is 52, ex-servicemen. He's a master & quite jolly, kind & caring in nature, with a lil sadism 😆.
Damon & Angel (hah, opposites with Angel/Demon name 🤣) are besties+boyfriends who are subs! We didn't get their age but they seem young (~20s?).
Damon embodies a golden retriever. He's energetic, excitable, big & observant as the new event manager of local mall.
Angel's like a cat! He's grumpy, surly, but he cares & feels deeply 🥺. He's a florist, tiny (#relatable) but strong & cautious with others due to past hurt. His drunken antics 🤣.

Sanat x his elves 😉. It'd been some time since I read on-page pet play, so that took time to get used to again but it's fun, heh. Damon is a cutie from start but it takes time for Angel to warm up to Rolly, with a emotional climax on toe 😭, but it's worth it!

I also realised close to end that there's not much spice seeing it's a 3some but the feels & kink's good so no major complain. There were scenes I wanted more of, but as a novella, it can't be helped. Still the story's good & liked the cameos! The Olly family 🤣.

Holiday Cheer Meter: 2/5
(Where 1 is as Christmassy as 'Die Hard' and 5 is more like 'Elf')

1st person, past tense, multi POV
Rolly Jolly (52), pet play master / retired military member, mall Santa
Damon St. James, pet play puppy (Sunny) / event manager for the Frostdale Mall, head mall elf
Angel Cross, pet play kitty (Pineapple) / aspiring florist, mall elf

- Did Damon and Angel not have elf names? I don't think they were specified.

As with Merry & Bright, the previous book of this season of the Merry Elf-Mas series, it was a lot lighter on the festive friendship amongst the elves than that of the previous year. So much so that after the mall elves were all introduced in one of the first chapters it almost felt awkward and out of place when they reappear for a scene later in the book.

Still, I quite enjoyed this story, but felt that for a novella featuring a threesome this spent a little too much time in the weeds with secondary characters - the bizarre rivalry between Angel and Billy (Snowdrop from season 1) or the background noise of the Jolly family, when I would have preferred more character and relationship development of our MCs. Events that should have occurred on page to draw the reader in and show how well suited Rolly, Angel, and Damon were to each other were glossed over, especially considering the backgrounds of the characters as none of them had had it particularly easy. Not so much too much telling rather than showing but rather focusing on the wrong aspects to show to make for an engaging narrative. Something silly that really stuck out to me was the fact that Rolly is an artist and .

I'm of the mind that if you are going to give a character a difficult backstory, especially if it's still affecting them, as it clearly is with Angel, it should be properly explored and resolved. Angel needed therapy, period. His story and coping mechanisms were so heartbreaking. When he's triggered and things kind of blow up, it was a huge emotional scene, however, the conflict resolution largely happened off-page and wasn't, to my mind, satisfactorily resolved, more summed up with "There'd been apologies, explanations, and maybe some tears. In the end, we'd worked things out...". Things just didn't feel balanced or festive overall.

Still, I thought it was a cute story and am an absolute sucker for a hissy black cat with a secret marshmallow centre. I loved Angel and Damon's relationship and how sweet Rolly was with them. Their meet-cute was adorable, and they dynamic was established rather early. I loved the idea of Rolly showing their toys around like Cinderella's slipper trying to find them and their reunion at the mall was so adorable. Damon's overeager attitude, and Rolly's calm, caring patience were the perfect foil for Angel's more standoffish nature.

This is billed as a standalone but without having read Holli Jolly you will be missing some context regarding Rolly's family. I'm going to be honest, the Jolly family, while cute, was a little convoluted, and I probably spent more time than necessary trying to map out how they were all related - thank goodness for the search function in the ebook format is all I have to say - and I could have done without most of that epilogue.

Wonderful holiday romance

Rolly has been feeling a little down and slightly jealous over the fact that most of his friends group have found their partners and are happy.
A friend convinces him to play Santa at a club.
He's been looking for someone into pet play and he just so happens to stumble upon a kitten and pup.
Angel is a kitty who's always grumpy and Damon is literally the sweetest pup.
They've been a couple for a while but they need someone else to be in charge.
Initially Angel nixes the idea of them playing together but eventually gives in.
They have an amazing play session but are suddenly called out due to an emergency.
Their life has suddenly imploded on them and they're forced to move back home.
Rolly is devastated and continues to look for them, hoping they can try for something.
Rolly ends up in Frostdale to help his great nephew Holli by being a Santa at his fiancé's mall.
Angel and Damon are both working at the
mall as well.
Rolly is ready to date them but Angel is wary because he and Damon have been looking for a partner for a long time and have been hurt in the past by potential partners and those who should have loved and protected them especially as children.
Damon absolutely trusts Rolly and knows he's the one for them.
Angel is prickly and tries to keep him at a distance.
A run in with his past along with a loving gesture misconstrued has him lashing out in fear because he's terrified no one keep him or love him.
Damon is just the sweetest pup and Rolly has no qualms about taking things slowly because he's aware of just how little it would take to spook Angel.
I really enjoyed seeing them work towards their HEA and being back in Frostdale to see some familiar faces.

Loved!

Awe! I loved this so much! It features a few of my favorite tropes: age gap, MMM, and kitten (love!) and puppy play. Angel and Damon are a couple but are hoping to find the perfect Master who wants both a kitten and a puppy. They think they may have found him in the sexy Rolly when tragedy strikes and they have to leave unexpectedly. Rolly was determined to find the kitten and puppy that disappeared before they could really get to know each other. A happy surprise finds them working together as elves and Santa at the local mall. It was awesome getting to be back at the mall with some of our favorite elves from the first season. This was a sweet, with a little heartache, holiday story.

Cute story about a man and his kitten and pup, and the second chance they were given to become a family. I enjoyed the book.
It is the first book of this years Merry Elf-Mas 2 series. While it can be read as a standalone, it probably would have been better for my understanding of the friends and family characters if I had read last years Merry Elf-Mas series.

We are back with the Frostdale Mall elves, and I'm so happy to be here! This year, Frostdale has a new santa who happens to be Holli (Holli Jolly season 1), Uncle, Rolly. Two of our newest elves, Damon & Angel, happen to be his missed opportunity from Halloween.
All three of our men have been hurt in the past, and all show it in such different and unique ways. Damon & Angel have been a couple for a long time looking for a third to be their Master. Lucky for them, Rolly is steadfast and rolls with all the snark Angel throws with a grace I envy. Damon is an energetic, sweet soul who has always stuck with his bestie and longs for someone to love both of them equally. With cameos from all the Jolly family along with some favorites from last year be ready to smile and enjoy the journey. As with the trend I love this holiday season, the books have a right mix of sweetness and realness to them over years past when holiday stories tended to be only sweet.

Rolly, Damon, and Angel's book is so great. It's sweet, spicy, and well written. I love the way they met, and I love how their relationship grew. I also love how they all support each other and understand the needs of each individual. This is a sweet story about a master finding his perfect pets. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will too!

I love a grumpy x sunshine combo of subs and Freesia definitely delivered. Damon's golden retriever energy is perfectly balanced by Angel's black cat vibe and Rolly is the perfect dom for both of them, able to handle Damon's high energy and Angel's standoffish ways. A great read!

Grump, sunshine, age gap, and kink play. All of the naughtiness this holiday season. This fantastic trio; Rolly, Damon, and Angel made all their fantasies come true.
