I enjoy DeMille's writing style. The main character in Plum Island is quirky and I liked that as well. If you are interested in detective stories, espionage stories, and other sorts of military exploits, you should give DeMille a shot.

Too many cuss words.
Plot was finished and puzzle solved 3/4 of the way through, and yet I atoll had another 200 pages to slog through to the finish. And that was the most action-packed part! The protagonist is a sex-obsessed, beer addict who may be charming (or not) and smart (definitely), but I did t like him or his pings. Doubt I will read another of this series.

All of these books are great. This is a good collection, because it gives you a good sample of all his work. I read Plum Island first and got hooked on DeMille. Then Word of Honor, and Charm School. I loved them all.
